I ordered the Buhdda Satay. I asked for the sauce on the side as it said spicy and holy crap I am glad I did that because it was insane spicey. Overall I thought it was kind of blah. Even with the spicy sauce. My friend ordered the Chili and she said it was ok. We also ordered a gluten free carrot cake which was actually pretty dang good. ] I’ve also had the banana nut smoothie. It was OK… very filling. It was $ 6.50 which is crazy for a small smoothie like that and for some reason drinking the smoothie made me super thirsty.

I am disappointed that I actually used my cheat day on a burrito here. I got a tex mex burrito. Minus any tex mex flavor. Tons of bland rice and I barely got any cheese or avocado or anything else that would have added savory or creaminess. At least if you’re going to skimp on the best part of what makes a burrito to make it «healthier», at least add some cumin.

Definitely on the pricy side for what it is but I can’t complain about the Mediterranean bowl that I get every time. I haven’t been very impressed by anything else I have tried, but I love all the quinoa and I like how it tastes with the feta! I’m also a sucker for cilantro and kalamata olives. I also don’t necessarily need meat, but if I was a person that needed meat, I would recommend going somewhere else… Otherwise it will get expensive fast!

Slow service with expensive and unsatisfying food. Went there with a bunch of coworkers. We all spent about $ 10 and were still hungry after our meals. Burritos are expensive, dry, and mediocre. Least enjoyable meal I’ve had since working downtown. Restaurant is packed and uncomfortable, especially since you’ll wait a long time to receive your food.

After spending my summer eating all that grease off those grills in food trucks, its quite over due that i spend time eating a bit healthy. My arteries might thank me for making this choice but we all know that once those taste buds decide to throw a tantrum fit its all over. Its almost a culinary version of the animation ‘inside out’ Good thing that Kim Chi bowl at Freshii keeps my arteries joyously happy while taking care of those petulant taste buds. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. I have never gotten my order messed up so anyone who has must be an isolated incident.

Questions I ask myself every time I go to Freshii: 1. Why is this so expensive? 2. Why does it take so long to get my food? 2a. Why do they have two employees hovering over one rice bowl at a time? Is placing vegetables into a bowl really a two-man job? 2b. Why are there always at least two people standing around doing nothing? 3. Why do they still consistently mess up my order? Even though it was always incredibly frustrating, I continued to go to Freshii because the rice bowls keep me full longer than a salad, while still being decently healthy. …Until yesterday. After getting an incorrect order the last two times I had been here, it was obvious that the cashier wasn’t listening when I gave her my order. I must have been visibly peeved. Not my finest moment, but hey, I was frustrated. As I stepped 3 feet away to wait for my food, the cashiers started talking about me and how rude it was of me to give her a dirty look when she was fixing my order. Again, I was literally 3 feet away, and could hear everything they were saying. Safe to say, I’m never coming here again.

Prices are higher than you would expect since all meat/tofu options are an extra 1.49 to 2.49. The drag pressed juice was excellent but expensive. The quantity of the juice needs to go up or the price needs to go down. My biggest gripe was with the wrap I ordered. I had a fiesta wrap with tofu and my girlfriend had the same but with chicken. My wrap was rather soggy and as I ate through it a puddle emerged below my wrap that only grew bigger as the meal went on. My girlfriend’s wrap not soggy at all, so I have to assume it is the marinade they use with the tofu that made my wrap a rather discomforting experience. The experience overall wasn’t bad, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back when I can go to Chipotle for a much better experience and look for fresh pressed juice elsewhere.

I love this place. My favorite is to get their Banana Nut Crunch smoothie for breakfast and if I’m hungry I’ll add a spinach mushroom and cheese egg pocket. It’s more expensive than a Mickey Ds breakfast but everything is made fresh and by order, so you get high quality for higher prices. Like most things. For lunch I’ve had their Buddhas Satay and Spicy Thai burrito. Both are very yummy and offer filling ingredients for the vegetarian. All of their lung items can be made vegetarian or you can add a protein, including tofu and falafel. Overall this is a great spot I enjoy every so often or when I’m feeling lazy and didn’t cook for lunch.

It’s refreshing to see a place like this, definitely out does the traditional greasy fast food… wish more places like this opened up. It’s a little small and cozy and if there’s enough people you may need to take it to go… the food is very vibrant and delicious, kind of like skittles but better — feel the rainbow, taste the rainbow! :)

I think it’s advertised as more healthy than it actually is. It’s not a miracle food, but it’s not a greasy burger and it’s very convenient in the skyways. I had the pangoa rice bowl, and it was very good, but there was too much rice. Half the rice with everything else the same would be a perfect lunch.

This place is overpriced for the quality and over-hyped. The nice website and descriptions of the food suck you in but the experience and the quality are somewhat disappointing. The noodles for the Buddha Bowl were too hard and borderline inedible but that might have been the employees fault. I personally would not order it again. The Baja Burrito was decent and the quinoa made it memorable and unique but it was close to $ 10. It’s healthy since it’s not made of white tortilla so I guess that’s a nice plus if you’re trying to trim belly fat. Overall, I probably won’t come here again but wanted to try it since it’s a new place downtown that’s close to my office. There are many other options nearby that have better quality food and better prices. Downtown is already expensive enough!

Visit #2, and not thrilled or even satisfied with what I received. There is not a speck of avocado or salsa in my burrito. None. I’m eating vegan so I depend on the nutrients from all the things my meal is supposed to have in it! This is really unacceptable, especially at $ 7.50. My burrito has loads of quinoa, red cabbage &2 pieces of tomato. Ugh.

A great place for those looking for something healthy and filling in downtown Minneapolis! Located inside Gavidaee Commons. food is amazing for those who are into eating healthy. The portions are a good size and although they may seem small, they are very filling. If you want to try out something healthy but are like me, who need lots of flavor and like spicy, I suggest you try the pangoa bowl which comes with chicken, brown rice, black beans, corn, cucumbers, white cheddar, cilantro, pico de gallo, crispy wontons, roasted red pepper sauce, avocado, and spicy bbq sauce Delicious! Doesn’t quite get the 5 star rating because of the really busy, busy & bustle atmosphere, and the«rabbit-food» like presentation of the meals… BUT it’s good!

I had tempered expectations after being let down by Sprout, but this place is great. I highly recommend the hot bowls, especially the Buddhas Satay. Good flavors and diversity of fresh ingredients. And you can add tofu! The reasons I’m not a full five stars are 1) the salads are too small to be a full lunch and 2) they mix the salads in plastic bags. Not only did I watch chunks of salad stick to the sides of the bag and get thrown away, but that’s an environmental no-no to use a plastic bag for every salad. It also kind of irritates me that they insist on checking your receipt to get your food, but maybe they’ve been hit by food thieves?! I just don’t like being treated like I’m one of them.

Disappointing for now. This«better for you,» fresh ingredients quick-serve location features salads, wraps, rice bowls & soups. But the food just doesn’t deliver. My co-workers and I decided to give this place a whirl last week, but we were all disappointed in the quality of the food & portions. It was over-priced for the amount of food you get. Adding meat to just about anything puts you in the $ 10 – 12 range. Veggies were rotting in our salads. Wraps weren’t assembled correctly and fell apart when you tried to eat them. Soups were cold and bland. Freshii is a franchise location that just opened a few weeks ago at Gaviidae Common on the 2nd floor. Really wanted to love this place with it’s fresh ingredients and made-to-order salads/sandwiches, but there are just so many other(better) options in the skyway system. You are better off heading to SIMPLS or People’s Organic for better food. My gut is the owner of this franchise is likely new to the gig and needs to work with staff on food quality, prep and execution.
