Fogo de Chao equals the HEAVEN for MEATLOVER! A TEMPLE to barbecued meat! As a meat lover, I love this place so much! All kinds of meat are delicious, and the Lamb chops and lamb legs are my favorite. They are juicy and perfectly cooked. The most interesting thing is, I asked the server for 2 lamb chops. After I did it twice, the same server would directly give me 2 lamb chops without asking me every time he passed my table. So He «forced» me to eat 7 lamb chops in one meal! Although the pineapple and papaya are not very fresh, I still love to give this restaurant 5 stars for the best lamb chops!

A Brazilian Steakhouse??? Wow… all I can say in one word to sum up my experience here is AMAZING! Well… the barbecued meats were all very delightful… well I must say what really stood out was the pork chops with bone, filet mignon and oh, of course the rib eye! The vast salad bar was amazing as well… oh…especially the giant stalks of asparagus was so beautiful! Fantastic and attentive service too! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday lunch. We had such a wonderful time, and our server was fantastic. I cannot remember his name, but he was excited to be there and was wonderful! My boyfriend got a complimentary dessert. This was his first time to Fogo, and he was very impressed!

Finally… I was able to visit the hyped Fogo de Chao that I keep hearing from my friends and colleagues. I took advantage of the $ 25 off dinner special that Fogo ran on Facebook. Upon arrival, you are immediately seated(don’t forget to make reservations) and a server is assigned to your table. Customer service is thoughtful, efficient, and overall, flawless. I was very impressed as our server was quick and provided a personalized experience for us despite catering to 5 other tables. I advise you to prepare for this journey of devouring endless amounts of meat and an amazing salad & sides bar. The meats come when you are ready, as you are given a card that is red /green. If you’re ready, you flip the card to «green» and an assortment of meats(top /bottom sirloin, lamb chops, pork ribs, pork loin, and more) are displayed for you to enjoy. The cuts were lean and very delicious. I am not a heavy meat eater, so there were diminishing returns in terms of utility after a dozen or so cuts. Price of $~50 per person is a bit steep, so I suggest waiting for a promotion or during Restaurant Week. You get full quick and it is hard to get the bang for the buck. The experience of being in this dining setting though justifies the price. Fogo was a great dining experience and I highly recommend it for my fellow food enthusiasts.

As always Fogo had an amazing salad bar, and great meats! Come hungry of course! Lunch has fewer meat options I feel like, but we were there very late in the lunch hour and the staff were very accommodating. They kept ensuring we had all the selections we were looking for. Brought out chicken salad for my sister when the salad bar was cleaned up for dinner, and cheesecake for the birthday boy! All was delicious. Good excuse to get in extra iron and protein in your diet.

The good: the service, the salad bar, and the management. The bad: if you go the full meat experience you had better be prepared for a LOT of meat. It’s all good but it’s sometimes hard to revisit the ones you love. Management comes in here and makes sure you see that particular meat again. Nice job. The ugly: you sometimes have to forego the meat to truly experience the salad bar. Vice versa. Sometimes when you do the full experience you short yourself on all that fresh produce. We love this place. Tips: make sure to try the house specialty dessert, a Papua and liqueur combo that will make your day.

I took the wife here for our Anniversary Dinner. Fogo is one of those places where you eat as little as possible for the rest of the day so that you can cram that much more food into your stomach. Every time I come here, I always make the same mistake. I load up on the salad bar and then get too full for when the main meal comes. It is hard to restrain since the salad bar is choke full of great stuff, two of my favorites are the Parmesan cheese chunks(basically chiseled from a 50 pound cheese wheel) and the sun-dried tomatoes. The meat selection varies, we were lucky to get two chances to get their Parmesan Encrusted Pork Loin. It is some of the best pork loin I have ever eaten; it is so moist and juicy. Most of the time when I have pork loin, it is tough and dry, but never here at Fogo. The lamb is also quite good, not too gamey and very well-seasoned. The sides that come out with the meat are pretty good. The mashed potatoes are not worth your time but the fried bananas and polenta are great, I especially love the fried polenta sprinkled in Parmesan cheese. Finally, we were treated with a free dessert because it was our anniversary, very nice of the place. We went with the Chocolate Mousse Cake. Rich, dark, and decadent… enough said. Service was pretty good. We had a section manager repeatedly come to our table and pick up dishes and help refill water glasses. She also helped juggle our baby when my wife spilt a glass full of water in my lap, that was probably the worst thing of the evening =) This place is spendy, but is worth if for those special occasions.

This place is, hands down, the best Brazilian BBQ place in the country. I have tried Agora Churrascaria in Irvine and the now defunct Amazon BBQ in Fullerton. Fogo de Chao beats both of these places hands down. Next month, Texas de Brazil is opening in Irvine, CA and I will see how they measure up to Fogo. I started at the vast salad bar where I took several stalks of giant asparagus, slices of smoked salmon and prosciutto, chunks of diced beets, and a bowl of feijoada with a hot pepper sauce that was really spicy. Not wanting to load my stomach on salad, I turned the token to green and the wave of gauchos brandishing machetes of meat descended on my table. I can’t think of one meat that really stood out. The ribeye and filet mignon were delightful and the picanha was very good. If there was any suggestion I could give them, it would be to offer some wild game meat like boar, bison, or venison. Alligator tail would be good too. The service was more than attentive. It was spot on. I did not have an empty plate nor an empty water glass as the meat parade was going on. My wife got a card for a free dinner good at any location. We will go to the San Diego location and see how it compares to the Minneapolis location. My mouth is watering thinking about another return to Fogo. You are hands down, the undisputed champion of churrascarias.

Not going to lie, Fogo de Chao is expensive but when you think about everything you’re getting, it’s worth it. I mean come on, it’s ALLYOUCANEAT! I’ve always come here for Restaurant Week in the past so I wouldn’t feel as guilty about how much I was spending. However, Friday night was the first time I’ve gone during a normal week/night. My boyfriend and I wanted to treat ourselves to a date night and we’ve been craving Fogo de Chao for ages now so we thought it was a good idea to go — and boy, was it a good idea! I always leave feeling satisfied but deep in a food coma and this night wasn’t any different. Everything from the popovers to the salad bar to the meat is amazing. So much flavor! I could easily fill up on the popovers alone, they’re THAT good! The meats are so tender and juicy. I’m not a salad person but the salad bar had such a great variety of salad, cheeses, and other vegetables you just can’t skip over it! Plus they’re good when paired with the meats. My favorites are the ribeye, garlic sirloin, top/bottom sirloin, and the filet mignon — yummy! Not to mention the service is fantastic — I don’t know how they do it but they fill your water, switch out your plates, and replace your appetizers without you even noticing. Magic!

I’ve been here quite a few times. About 2 – 3 times a year, usually for special occasions or with large groups. Service is always great!(just don’t come near kitchen close). It is not the type of place that you go for a quick bite, make sure that you have ample time to enjoy the experience. Meats are always juicy and fresh, and the salad bar needs another name, cause its abundant with a lot more than just rabbit food! even if you don’t eat meat, i guarantee the salad bar will fill you up! I suggest to pace yourself, and get a variety of sides from the salad bar to eat in tandem with the meats, otherwise you may end up with a bloody taste in your mouth from not breaking up the flavors. i.e. tabbouleh with the lamb, rice with the chicken, ceaser salad and the top sirloin etc. OH, and the cheesy pop-overs(gf)

MEATHEAVEN, HERE I COME! I went to Fogo de Chao for my birthday, My boyfriend made reservations on Open Table for us before hand. I was super excited to go here, especially for my birthday celebration. When you first approach the magnificiently opulent doors, you get transported to awe-inspiring exotic heaven on Earth. All the extraordinary aroma hits you like a shotgun and just plunges through your soul when you step inside the restaurant. Your stomach just sinks to the floor and your hangry self will want to immerse yourself in all the food in the market table. My boyfriend and I were ten minutes early, but they refused to seat us until it was exactly our time(8:30p.m.) even though there were tables that were completely empty. I seriously do not understand this concept. If there are open clean tables, why not seat your guests right away? Why make them wait? Oh, did I mention that the waiting area was right next to the doors and on this day, it was freezing cold with horrible wind chills. Whenever someone enters the restaurant, we would feel the wind blowing through! This was a rough start to my night. When we were finally seated, it was in a tight knit space near other diners. We were greeted right away by our servers and hostess. The team served us immediately and asked for our drink options. My boyfriend ordered a Fogo Caipirinha, but didn’t receive it until ¾ way through our meal. I had to flag down a wait staff member and remind them. Thankfully, they compensated us by not putting that drink on our bill! Our main waiter was very gracious and friendly. He tried to accommodate us the best he can and I really appreciate his efforts, especially on a busy night. This night was jam packed with people and there was people calling out the wait staff left to right. It was completely understaffed. The wait staff always made sure I had a clean plate to eat on and they constantly made rounds to refill my drink and give me a new plate. When we were seated, we didn’t even receive our side dishes(caramelized bananas, mashed potatoes, Pao De Queijo etc.) until ¼ through our meal. When the side dishes came out, we didn’t get any sauce. However, the wait staff always made sure that our side dishes were well stocked afterwards. The meat servers barely made rounds to our table, and when they did, I felt like they had the same things that I previously turned down! I understand that it was a very busy night, but if they knew that they were going to be busy, why not have more people working on the floor? We paid at least $ 50 to get the full experience and we didn’t receive that. Most of the meats I was hoping to get from the servers barely made a round to my table. The seafood & lamb didn’t even make a appearance to our area! The servers and wait staff were all friendly and welcoming. Each time they approached our table, they always try to make light conversations and listen to our dining experience. I am very happy that they did this, so I can easily voice my opinions there. All the meats(beef tenderloin, rib eye, top/bottom sirloin, pork sausage, chicken & pork loin) were expertly seasoned and exquisitely savory. Taking a bite of this meat teleports me into celestial bliss! It’s ravashingly divine and cooked to the right temperature. All the beef were medium well cooked just the way I like it! All the meats are crispy, but still hold their tasty natural innermost juice. My favorite is the bacon covered chicken. It was crispy and appetizingly well crafted. Of course, bacon with anything is amazing, but this specialty is genuinely flavorsome. Very nice combination. I LOVE my papaya cream dessert! I was very pleased and satisfied that the restaurant even remembered that we were celebrating a birthday, especially with how busy they were running. I am happy to be presented with a such a beautifully well plated dessert! I honestly didn’t have high expectations for the papaya cream, but I got it on a whim, because I wanted to be bold and try something different. The papaya cream dessert was very tantalizingly delectable. The cream has a thick yogurt like texture and it goes down easy. When you first swallow a spoonful, you get the impression that you are in a exotic wonderland eating on a sandy beach with the sun shining down on you. The restrooms are very clean and well stocked. There were no lines, but it seems to be in a hard place to find, especially with all the wine décor stocked to the ceiling. This is a grand place to dine at, but at the price that it’s set at, make sure you get the full experience. It’s not right if you are not getting the full experience, but paying full price for it. I will maybe give this place another chance, because I understand that they were just understaffed and it was super busy. The servers and wait staff are going out of their way to assist all of us and I really appreciate their efforts. It makes me feel very welcome here & bottom line is; their food is superb!

I’ve been to a couple different locations in the US and this one was a bit better in terms of meat than the others, though they have all been great so far. I think it’s a matter of where they get their meat from. Also had a few cuts that I haven’t seen on other menus so that was kind of cool. The food and service were both amazing last night and it was hard to flip the card to red and call it a night.

Fogo de Chao? Try Fogo de WOW. The salad bar is an imported meat and cheese smörgåsbord that is well worth the full dinner price. If you don’t eat yourself stupid on the salad bar goodies, you are treated to a continuous supply of perfectly roasted meats, served table side in tasting portions. To accompany the meat you get sides of… well, frankly, I was too focused on the meat to care about the sides, though the little dinner roll popovers were amazing. The booze selection was more than satisfying! The service was excellent to boot, making the whole experience that much better. If you like meat at a can’t beat it price, try this place now!!!

Unlimited Steak — if you love cow who could complain! The salad bar is top notch. Be advised — if someone comes by and offers you anything other than steak –it’s an additional charge. We ended up paying $ 19.99 for a shrimp cocktail and $ 20 for a smoothie. $ 179 for two people. Service was good.

Hands down — BESTPLACETOGO! We have taken family and friends here when they visit from out of town, and they are blown away every time! The service is incredible! I love that there is the flat fee price you pay for basically all you can eat! Beware of the drinks though! They are amazing but can be spendy :)

This was a lot of fun! The salad bar was amazing, but it’s important to not fill up too much because there’s so much meat to eat! I think the key is to have the garlic steak first so that all of the other cuts can benefit from the garlic juice left on your plate. The bacon wrapped fillet and chicken were my other favorites. I’ve never had white meat chicken that actually melts in your mouth before!

Oh my goodness an orgasm on a plate for meat lovers! The service is always excellent and the food temps are spot on. If your sides get cold they replace them promptly. They have added a few new meat selections for example the citrus chicken Breast. Oh my it’s so tender and juicy delicious. If your still hungry after the meat orgy the Papaya desert is a must have it helps you digest all the meat you just ate. This is a must try place! Oh don’t forget about the incredible salad bar they always have a new dish or two on there as well.

Been to this premium meat eatery franchise many times both in us and Brazil, as always, service was superb, and the salad bar fresh and full of variety… but the real reason to come here is to put the taken on «green» and let it ride;)

Loved this place! We have gone there for my cousin’s wedding, which happened to be fairly small group of people and it was amazing. Ton’s of meat prepared in all the wonderful ways you can think about and it just keeps coming and coming, too bad you get so full so quickly. Salad bar is wonderful as well.

Our server did an excellent job keeping up with the table. She was sprinting around to fill our drink orders. All of the meats were excellent. I would have liked to see more sides and sauces available for the meats. It’s hard to create a unique meal with just seasoned meat. Overall a great meal. Our top choices were the parmesan pork tenderloin, the filet, and dark meat chicken leg.

I had lunch for the first time at Fogo. One word. Amazing! I was told by friends to skip the salad bar(Even though it looked good) and if you don’t watch out you will be uncomfortably full for half a day. I took it easy. Only about ¾ a pound of meat I am guessing. The guys that brought around the food were awesome, just dead animals coming from all sides. My favorite was the filet mignon and the chicken breast. The chicken breast could have been the best ever, super juicy and tasty to the extreme. I got a Diet Coke and it came out in a little 8 oz bottle, a little weird, but maybe they think it is tacky for dispensed cola? The only downside is that we had a 40 minute wait past our reservation time, but they gave us free desserts and a $ 25 gift card for our trouble. Cool move. The place was packed for the Friday before the holiday weeks. But they kept the meat coming. I wish they had seafood at lunch, but alas, no go. That would be my only complaint besides the big wait time. Awesome lunch.

The only thing that comes to mind when I think back on my visit are the words. MEATPARADE. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re not a meat eater, and I really wouldn’t recommend coming here if you aren’t super hungry. They have a «salad» bar filled with lots more than just salad fixin’s. They had pasta salad that was AMAZING. My mom STILL keeps talking about the bacon and it’s been almost a month. It’s a fancy restaurant that treats you like the king/queen you hope to be. however, it does come with a hefty price tag, but it’s so WORTHIT. It’s truely a unique dining experience and I think it would be a great tradition to go every year(or sooner if you can afford!)

Definitely a fun touristy special occasion restaurant. We went for a friends b-day, and intially had a table of 11 that turned into 6. It was really nice having the smaller group. We met at the bar and started with cocktails. I had the black cherry manhattan and it was awesome. The bf had the carmelized pineapple old-fashioned and I wish I ordered it. It was so good. The bartenders were super cool too. We may go back and just hang out at the bar sometime. We got to our table and the waiter was very nice. He gave us the run-down since a few of us had never been here before. I loved the market bar. It was the best salad bar thing ever. I totally loaded my plate up, possibly a bit too much. But everything was awesome, the cheese, the veggies, the salads and selection. The meat coming around was pretty good too. I really liked the filet mignon, the bacon wrapped chicken, and the lamb. The boys liked pretty much every meat they tried. They bring some sides to the table also, the plaintains were my favorite. After meat, I ended up going back to the market table for some more veggies. It was my favorite part, I might skip the meat fest and just do the market table and drinks next time. The birthday boy even got a free dessert of his choice. If you’ve never been and like food, you should definitely check out Fogo at least once.

My husband and I went to Fogo to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and the their market table was my favorite. Some of the meats tended to be on the dry side but they also had other meats that were spot on. I recommend it for lunch but I would not pay their dinner prices. We also had a fantastic slice of cheesecake on the house. Thank you!

I’ve eaten at Fogo several times over the years and loved it. This time was different. Thanksgiving Day FAIL!!! Fogo advertised they were open for Thanksgiving and they were doing Thanksgiving dinner. There was to be turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes etc. We made reservations for 2:30PM. The place was very busy and very full. After being seated we decided to get started on the Thanksgiving meal. They were doing a carving station for the turkey near the salad bar. When we went up there there was no turkey. Also missing were the sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberries, etc. We’re thinking what gives? Or server had told us this is where the Thanksgiving food was located. My girlfriend kept trying to hold out for turkey. I asked a few different people and was told it was there. I kept telling them no it isn’t. I kept going up to check and on one trip they did actually have a small turkey breast(Jennie O?) they were carving up. I did manage to get a few slices for my girlfriend, but none of the other sides were available. I gave up on getting a Thanksgiving meal and started getting the regular Fogo food. My girlfriend however was more determined and only had salad, a few small pieces of turkey and bread. THISISNOTWHATWASADVERTISED! After talking to enough people I finally found out that there were way under prepared for the Thanksgiving meal and didn’t cook enough of ANY parts of the special meal. They essentially ran out of turkey before we arrived. They had more turkey cooking and it would be ready in a few hours. The worst part is they NEVER told the servers who were happily telling newly seated diners that there was Thanksgiving day meal still available. THISISUNACCEPTABLE! The servers should have been told the status of the turkey and other sides so they could tell their customers BEFORE they sat down for a meal. When the tab came I was charged full price for everything. I was furious! I explained the situation to the manager and expressed that we did not get was was advertised. I felt like I was being ripped off. The manager apologized and that’s when he explained the details of how unprepared they were. It’s inconceivable that a restaurant of this sized to be this unprepared. The manager then comped us our meals by 50%. Fogo better learn from this or just close up shop on Thanksgiving day.

Food coma!!! Make sure you starve yourself before you get here. The mojitos are amazing!($ 11 but well worth it). This is a perfect place to go if you are celebrating a special event. Why? Because you will go broke. Fillet mignon was delicious! They also serve bananas, mashed potatoes and these large potato cuts like a French fry. Try the cocktail shrimp as an appetizer if you love jumbo shrimp! The cocktail sauce is a tad bit spicy but delightful. Again, try the mojito! Make sure you make reservations before coming here. No seriously. Recommend? Yes! Especially if it’s your anniversary or birthday. We saw a couple who just got married and their whole group had a table in the back area. So yes… Make reservations!

Now I get what the big deal is with this place. Food is fabulous. Service is impeccable. I came here for restaurant week, so my experience will be limited as the menu also was. Though I was disappointed we wouldn’t be able to try the filet mignon, ribeye, lamb chops, etc. for the restaurant week special, we absolutely got PLENTY to eat(my favorites were the top sirloin and Parmesan-encrusted pork). I was also a big fan of the fried cheese bread and polenta(but they are definitely best when fresh and crispy). If the side plates are empty the servers automatically replace them, so I learned to leave a morsel behind so they wouldn’t give us more food we couldn’t possibly finish. The cold salad bar was fine, but I agree with everyone else who says save yourself for the meat. Since we had a smaller selection of meats, I let it keep coming almost the whole time, only ate what I absolutely loved, and managed to keep up just fine. Even had room for the 3rd course cheesecake. Though I assumed I’d end up feeling like I was about to explode on my way out, I actually just felt pleasantly full. So it is possible if you pace yourself! Although their standard dinner is more expensive, my husband and I will undoubtedly be back someday to get a taste of what we missed the first time around. FYI, They do not validate parking.

After years of a non-committal, creep from afar relationship with Fogo, I did the sensible thing for our first time and went during restaurant week. I cut back on my food intake beginning that morning to prep my stomach in direct opposition to what food eating champions would suggest. The place was buzzing when we arrived at 8:30 but we were seated quickly and then it begins. This was our first time so we got the long and dirty on how it works. The market table, the go/stop meat signals, and dessert plan. The market table was great! Salads, fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses, olives, etc. I had a small salad with veggies, some asparagus, a slice of salami, and a delicious brussel sprout salad. Then came the main event. We flipped the signal to green and the madness began. In 30 seconds, we were swarmed with skewers and sides(fried polenta, caramelized banana, and mashed potatoes) that were tasty on their own. I won’t list what meats I had because I had everything. Favorites were the bottom sirloin, garlic steak, and bacon wrapped chicken. The meat is seriously what you come for. No sauce, no gravy, no problem. It was satisfying the way it was. We took our desserts to go because duh, there was more meat to be had. Suggestions for a visit:(1) make an earlier reservation so you can linger a bit and spread out the meat consumption.(2) With a flock of meat men meeting your every meat whim its hard to not stock up on ALLTHEMEATS but its best to get one or two at a time and enjoy them when they are hot. Its just not as good if its been sitting on your plate too long.(3) Wear some sort of elastic bottoms. Even if they are«fancy pants» disguised with a nifty elastic waist. You will thank yourself on the walk back to the car.

Good but not great so disappointed :( brazilin steakhouses are always pricey don’t mind the cost if it is a great meal and experience. I generally prefer to try new places but we opted for Brazilian steakhouse we’d loved in Chicago thinking it would be a sure thing. We’d been to several Brazilian steakhouse throughout the county and Fdc was by far the best. If you love meat and have never been to another Brazilian style steakhouse you will likely be fine with it. It’s only in comparison to the Chicago and Chicago suburb Schaumberg that it fell short. In all fairness They tried hard … they were Very attentive. Our beverage always refilled and Quick to attend to us. The guys bringing around the meat were quick to come around. OK that all sounds good right … well let me tell u where it went wrong. First of all it wasn’t a truly enjoyable experience.. They were too fast … I felt like althea only flower surrounded by hungry hummingbirds. The meat guys didn’t give us time to take a bite before another was there. It felt more intrusive than attentive. We had trouble understanding their accent to know what they were offering but seemed to be same 4 things over and over with same preparations. The only bacon wrapped meat was chicken and mine was very hot but over cooked and dry. Everyone seemed to be waiting for the filet to come around. it was tender but I was disappointed no bacon wrapped. Doesn’t bacon make everything better? The answer is YES. The salad bar was not as good as Chicago but in all fairness the meat and polenta sticks are what I eat there. The salad bar didn’t have much that looked good.. I just got some mozzarella. Once again Chicago had a larger selection of cheeses and olives but you go to these places for the meat. Thus dont fill up on side items. The manager came by at the end and seemed genuinely upset that their location wasn’t as good as Chicago. I felt bad that we couldn’t honestly say it was as good. I say again they tried … maybe tried too hard. I didn’t like feeling pressured by the meat guys coming with no time to enjoy what we had. That’s the whole point of this style that everything is fresh from the scur and hot. but give time to enjoy what we have … and more variety of meats and different preparations … So the food was disappointing and the service did not provide the relaxing dining experience it should have been. So FDC u tried but fell short if compared to all Chicago FDC I’ve been to this style for lunch and when not busy. That doesn’t work out as well as to get variety and everything as hot and fresh they have to be crowded. This place was crowded and it was evening but kept bring out the same stuff. Disappointing. When we dined at Chicago we were full and satisfied couldn’t think of dessert bur we went somewhere else for dessert right after. They had desserts there but by then we were wanting to try a different restaurant. I’d wanted to try icehouse for dinner. might do that next time.

What a wonderful place to dine at! This is definitely my favorite place to eat at and not because of the delicious salad bar and various meats but because the service is always on point. Tonight I celebrated another birthday dinner here with close friends. I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing the staff is. The host up front are just so courteous and friendly. First let me say I felt awful because 2 of my guest didn’t show up so I had open spots. But our server was so nice about it and so was Jay! Dinner was amazing and the service was always above and beyond, my guest had so much fun dining at Fogo. I always get nervous to have my birthday dinner(s) here at Fogo because not everyone is always willing to pay the $ 50. However, I always assure my guest that the food and service is worth every penny. I believe everyone needs and I mean NEEDS try Fogo at least once. You will not be disappointed and if you are then you don’t know what is good service and food! Let me just take a moment and say JAY, another client customer service rep is amazing! The hospitality is truly sincere. There is nothing more exciting to me then to receive genuine customer service and this was given by Jay. All of my friends felt like we were at my house having a dinner party and not actually at a restaurant. That’s how much Jay and the servers made us feel like we were at home. Two of my friends have never been to Fogo and were so excited to be there. They couldn’t believe how great the service was and how personable Jay and our servers were with my group. This is why I always come to Fogo De Chao. It’s the service that keeps me coming back along with the delicious food. I’ve read some reviews by other people say that Fogo is just«alright» but to truly enjoy the food you need to be a «meat» lover. You need to understand the different cuts of meat, you need to be able to really appreciate the seasoning and the cooking process that is put into the food. It’s all about your taste buds and knowing the meat you’re eating. Don’t be fooled tho, the salad bar is also beyond delicious! Everything at the salad bar is fresh, if you can’t appreciate the meat you will appreciate the amazing salad bar. Thank you Jay and your servers for the great service and experience you have provided to my friends and myself tonight! It was one of the best service and birthday dinner’s I have had, I cannot thank you enough for everything tonight, you are awesome and made my birthday dinner magical!

I just go to fo-go to enjoy lamb chops, I love their juicy lamb chops but this time around we got seated and began eating at 9:10am and no one come to our table with lamb chops till about 9:50pm.HATEDIT! We requested meat servers to get send the server with lamb chops but they were all fail attempts! As much as I love fo-go i wasn’t too happy with my experience. We even asked for mashed potatoes and no one ever got us them. Mad Mad! Didn’t like their service at all this night!

Bring a blanket/sleeping bag. You’ll need it for the food coma(or postprandial somnolence… the condition is real). I always set low expectations for all-you-can-eat dining venues because I always consider you would trade off quality/service for quantity in most buffets. This place showed me how wrong I am! Salad bar: love love love. They have a variety of fresh salad(potato, pasta, caesar, fruit, you get my drift), and cold cuts(e.g., salami, prosciutto, salmon). I had to practice my self regulation skills to not try everything before servers came to our table with slabs of meat. Meat: I loved the picanha, fillet mignon, and beef ancho. They were so damn tender and juicy, i basically eyed the server every time he walked a vicinity of 8 feet from me. Quick at flagging. If you like more texture and chewier meat, the alcatra(sirloin) and cordeiro(lamb) were close seconds. Sides: The cheesy bread(or pao de queijo) were so puffy and airy. It was like eating cream puffs but replacing cream with light cheese — if that is even possible. Caramelized bananas were perfect given all the savory meat, sides and salad options. I never had polenta prepared this way(i.e., fried). I actually enjoyed it, I thought it was yucca fries at first place but the taste was a bit sweeter and texture was less grainy and more smooth. Overall the sides were perfect. Service: Again, I was blown away from the service. The servers were very attentive refilling our water, asking if we want additional sides or seafood, replacing plates, etc. They came by and joked around, asking us how was our afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised at how welcomed I felt during busy time of the day(we came right around lunch/rush hour). I loved the food, service, and ambience – what more could I ask for? I will definitely be back… and prepared for round 2.

Who gets meat sweats? Not this girl… I focused on the salad bar. Restaurant week at Fogo De Chao is the one of the best deals in my opinion. You do have restrictions on some cuts of meat like the filet mignon on the $ 30 menu, but you’re not going to miss it, I promise. You also get a dessert with this price if you can fit it into your bulging belly at the end of this meal. My group got to the restaurant 10 minutes prior to our reservation. We got our buzzer and grabbed a table at the bar to start with drinks. I ordered a light Brazilian beer since I’ve never had one before. As soon as our drink orders were placed the delightful vibrations of the buzzer went off. We were seated super fast! There was someone there with waters immediately, and our server was ready to explain their regular menu along with the special. I had a sip of my crisp Brazilian beer, and off to the salad bar I went. I love the salad bar at this place. I don’t care if everyone thinks I’m crazy for filling my plate here. Don’t get me wrong. I love meat, but this salad bar has so much variety, I can’t help myself. I always start with a baguette slice that I layer with some aged parmesan cheese, then beef steak tomatoes, and top it off with the smoked salmon. This is my jam! I also loaded up on capicola and prosciutto ham, asparagus, marinated mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, cucumber salad, apple salad, and fresh mozzarella. There are so many other items aside from what I listed here. Not to mention you get all the little fixin’s at your table like fluffy cheese bread ball things that are amaze-balls(see what I did there?), mash potatoes, polenta, and plantains. I have some bad news from the salad bar. Before I go on I must mention the squiggly hair I found on the aged parmesan cheese. It was pretty dang gross. I tapped on the shoulder of a bus boy and showed him my discovery. He took the piece of cheese away quickly and apologized, but didn’t take the tray. I don’t think it’s the restaurants fault, there are a lot of people going through this area it could have been one of them. However, I do think he maybe should have taken the tray, who knows how may pieces of cheese this hair was rolling around on. I got back to my table and half of my group already had meats. Stinkers. I flipped my little round meat«wand» to green. I had the bottom sirloin, house special beef, sausage, lamb, and the parmesan crusted pork. The pork was my only disappointment, it was very dry. Everything else was just as I expected, perfect medium rare with all of the juicy thick meaty taste. For anyone that loves horseradish like I do, I recommend asking for the creamy and the raw and mixing it together for your beef. It’s an explosion of flavor. I stayed away from all of the chicken, and bacon wrapped anything, Chicken is boring, and bacon sometimes over powers delicate flavors you sometimes miss anyhow. I ate a lot. This did not stop me from ordering a key lime pie. I didn’t finish my pie, but gosh dang it I tried, my body failed me. I have to mention the paper towels in the restroom. This place has thick, folded, paper towels with their logo on it. That’s some fancy stuff. I wanted to take a picture of it, but then I thought I would look creepy doing that in a bathroom. They were fully stocked with supplies, and the restroom was really clean for such a busy night. You can tell they were prepared to keep the entire restaurant presentable for the night. Kudos to them! The service was great. I was sort of thinking we might be in trouble with slow service because of how busy it was, but that did not affect us at all. We were seated so quickly and our server was on her game tonight. She was ready with new plates for us, checked on our water and beverages, and was always nearby and asking if we needed anything. Two different managers also stopped by the table to ask how we were doing. That’s pretty cool when managers do that, it shows they care about good service. I really wanted to give them 5 stars, but I discovered a little problem the next day. They swiped my credit card 3 times, placing 3 different holds on my account, it was not a pleasant surprise.

Visited for Restaurant Week…$ 30 for salad bar fixings and protein galore. I followed the lead of my ol’ HSBFF. Once we returned to our table from the salad bar, she flipped her card to green communicating to fill up our plates with meat… and they delivered. It was one gaucho after another… bang and it appears the brazilian steaks, which is the reason my BFF already had a fixin’ of rice to go with the meats. I’m such a rookie –and had to get up for that fixin’ of rice. Of all the meats served, I mostly enjoyed the chicken, pork ribs, and linguica. It seemed that I was always forgetting to flip my card to red and realized it when the gauchos would ask whether I wanted another cut of meat while my plate was already filled with meats waiting for me to devour. I probably could have done without the rice –what a filler.
