Erberts and Gerbert’s

Love their speedy service and their Fiery Southwest Chili, but every single sandwich I’ve tried has been flavorless. Tried one with a chipotle based sauce. Tasted no chipotle. Tried one with a sweet chili sauce. Tasted absolutely no sweet chili. Tried their tuna — tasted nothing but fish. Not sure if it’s a location issue or if they are flavorless across the board, but «flavornation» is not the word I would use to describe their sandwiches.

This used to be my go-​to spot but then the soups starting tasting like a salt lick. I decided to go today because soup-​to-​go looks shut down and I wanted something warm. I got the turkey pesto half sandwich and chicken wild rice soup. First off, my sandwich has no pesto on it whatsoever but this ranch sauce. Ew. I also asked for no cucumbers since I can’t eat them and they still put them on.
The soup is okay but still way to salty for my taste buds. Of course I still ate because I’m not made of money bags like Mr Monopoly. I definitely think that with all the other quality sandwich places in the skyway E&G could be doing better.
In total I spent around $ 7.50 which isn’t bad for a downtown lunch but the quality isn’t great either. Looks like I won’t be going back for some time.

My HUSBAND and DOG and I just got BLACKOUT drunk and we wanted to sober up some before driving home to BURNSVILLE so we stopped at ol’ DERBY n’ HERBY’S™ for a Cold Cut Combo™ for myself and a Crispy Bacon Cheddar Ranch Salmon CLASSIC™ for the old ball-​and-​chain and a cup of Campbell’s™ CHUNKY™ Minestrone™ for poochie!
Don;t remember getting home but I do remember the soup coulda been a bit saltier…

I have always loved Erberts and Gerbert’s since my college days up at SCSU (perfect at 2:00 a.m. after drinking at the Red Carpet)!
Just a quick tip, they now have gluten free subs! I just had one recently and it was pretty good. Just another downtown option for my fellow celiacs.

I finished my workout at the skyway YMCA and we headed over to the Erbert’s and Gerbert’s and my buddy said the new Titan was fantastic.
The Titan is a wonderful pesto turkey with lots of sweet pesto mayo and a lot of turkey and it seemed like provolone cheese.
Anyways, the sub was awesome, one of the best besides Clancey’s.
They are pretty quick too which is nice when you need to get back to work.
