Excellent area. My first time here. Am from Washington state doing my bucket list trip! Staff who took my order was friendly and the drink is delicious(I’m still drinking it as I’m writing this! lol) Place recommended!

Great location, but interior is tired. Needs an upgrade. Paint is peeling off walls, carpet and furniture is dirty and ripped. Location is right by river and very nice though. Not much left in the snack case at 4pm. Coffee is good.

It’s an OK Dunn Bros. The fireplace area is pretty nice and it’s very convenient for those on the trail or those who strayed and want to relax for a while. Baristas are friendly and the wi-fi is solid. There are also some food options in the same building. It’s a pretty good spot and I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here, but with warmer days increasing in numbers in the coming weeks I’ll probably be stopping by a bit more.

I just stopped in here for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised! There is a small parking lot that allots spaced for retail right near the entrance so if there isn’t street parking, this is an option. I ordered my americano and splurged on an old fashioned donut which was perfect: sweet and dense enough for dipping. :) My drink came out very quickly and both the baristas were very pleasant. What is most notable about this location is the ample amount of seating available! This place is HUGE but it doesn’t feel like a cafeteria because it’s laid out in a way that still feels cozy and intimate, like a good coffee shop should. There is also a lovely patio outside that overlooks the Marshall Avenue bridge but it’s not immediately on the sidewalk or the road so it’s nice and peaceful. I was not able to stay long but this Dunn Brothers is now firmly on my radar as the perfect place to relax, get some reading or writing done, or meet with friends.

It may sound like a trivia. But did you know that Dunn Bros on E. Lake, unlike many other coffee shops, has three entrance doors? It’s an important fact, because the door you choose both demonstrates who you are and shapes your opinion about the coffee shop. If you are a first-timer, enter the door on Lake St. by Corazon gift shop and what you’ll see is a comfy coffee shop with a fire place, a book shelf, armchairs, and side tables. If you’re a biker/runner enter the door on W. River Parkway by Longfellow Grill and you’ll see a different place with chairs and tables and an almost hidden«den,» a place of silence which is ideal for studying(of course if it’s not occupied by local groups that reserve the space for their meetings.) If you’re a driver, park at one of the West River Commons retail parking spots and enter through the hallway door and you’ll see an ordinary Dunn Bros coffee. The beverages and food are more or less like those of other Dunn Bros stores. You’ll also have free wi-fi. All you need is the password that is changed everyday. The staff are OK. But don’t let the retail parking fools you. Sometimes(Friday nights, especially) when the Longfellow Grill gets many customers, finding a parking may be a hassle.

Referring to my last review, the last 2 weeks have tested my ability to keep standing. Too much work, not enough time. Hence, I headed to this spot to get much needed editing done, as I knew I wouldn’t allow myself to fall asleep in public… lol Within secs I had a great seat secured, was logged into the wifi, and I was able to dive into my work. Got approx. 2.5 hours in w/o even a worry. The latte was perfect(made extra strong), and the service was great!

Nice location but just OK atmosphere. Outdoor seating but indoor area has weird design — not really inviting. ALSO, someone needs to tell them to get new furniture because it’s really getting ratting. I’ve got nicer stuff in my garage attic…

Just as the stars said: a-ok. I’ve yet to convert to drinking their coffee, I always have bad experiences. Went for the cocoa this time and was not unimpressed but also was not thrilled to the gills.

Great place to get coffee before a walk on the river.
