This is «my» Dunns. Friendly staff, there’s usually good music playing, and their cold press is bomb. I love stopping here for a beverage any time of day. I buy my beans here as well.

Longtime Dunn’s customer. Been to this location several times recently on Saturday afternoons. I hope to try the beers on tap and happy hour someday. Anyway, I stop for a quick coffee and end up staying an hour. Needless to say, DB coffee is excellent(a dose after midday really fires you up) what I like most about this location are the huge windows and spacious indoor/outdoor seating area. Servers are friendly too. Sitting outside that last warm and sunny Saturday, conversing, sipping coffee, enjoying North Loop views, hearing a train rumble down the tracks… life was good in that moment.

This place is really really bad. The guy sweeping the place as I was drinking my tea, was whistling super loud and whacked my feet under my table so he could sweep there. The food is also gross. This is disappointing since it’s new and the only coffee shop in the NL. Boooooo

Solid coffee shop with a liquor license! You can get wired in the morning and hammered in the evening! This location was convenient from my hotel for hot breakfast — I got a egg and cheese brioche with turkey bacon with their dark roast. Overall, hot and tasty. Service was friendly and efficient as well. Good sized coffee shop with a small library. Seems to be pet friendly too.

This is a newer Dunn’s in the über-hyped North Loop. The wide expanse and shady outdoor deck gives the Bros a metropolitan feel. I am grateful the Upper Midwest is coming up with designs that are more Euro-Open rather than Up North Fortress which has been evident since say 1879. The view from the spacious windows or deck shows the newest shiniest condos responsible for aiding to push the population of Mpls proper closer to the big times of Pre 1970. This shop seems to hope to pick up on the vibe in the city. The interior is sleek and modern but not pretentious in it’s expression. Of the city Dunn’s this one reeks of Minneapolitan. There is a strength meter showing the different brews like a Television Station’s Green Screen graphic showing rainfall and drought levels across the state. Black and Silver the newest tones shine throughout and the employees attitudes seem by far the better of the other Dunn’s, although the shop on Univ. S.E. has some great employees too. Check my other reviews for some not so favorable Dunn’s. It is kind of strange how even a franchise can vary so much in styles of operation. There is a decent but not large selection of pastries and healthier items in the case. When exploring the North Loop this will be a hot ppl watch locale.

Note: This is the NEW location of this great Dunn Bros. Same staff, same great coffee, better location! I finally got a chance to visit this Dunn Bros. as it is the best coffee shop near my office. The new location is a fantastic space with floor to ceiling windows that let in at least 50% more light than the previous location at Washington &3rd. There is a cool built-in bookshelf with varying reads, and it seems to be better positioned to offer work, hang out and meet-up space. Great vibe, coffee and service are the same great quality as always.

This is hands down my favorite Dunn Bros location. Its big and roomy, so you don’t feel like your neighbor is breathing down your neck and you don’t have to overhear them explaining the details of their latest love triangle. It is great for studying. I’m actually pretty sure I’ve sat at a table here studying far more than is socially acceptable during finals, but the staff didn’t seem to care at all. Speaking of staff, all the baristas I’ve had here are great. Having been a barista for 7 years, I’m fairly particular about my coffee. I usually show up with a ridiculously specific order, and they have always been more than happy to accommodate. Never had a single eye roll, which I cannot say the same for other coffee shops in the area. They also have a super easy app, so you can pay by phone while earning credits you can use on drinks, beans, etc. Parking is available until 11am in the Monte Carlo lot or if you go behind the building, there are a few free 30 minute spots reserved for Dunn Bros customers too. Otherwise, I never have a hard time finding metered parking close by.

It’s like a great combination of Peet’s and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Great strong teas and amazing selection of strong coffees. Plus there is plenty of room. The seating is couches(lounge style), small individual tables, and large conference tables. Haven’t tried the food but great coffee is enough of a draw.

It’s like most dunn bros which means they roast on site. The problem with that though is I don’t know who roasts their beans but they burned them. This means my latte was therefore also burned. I want happy about that at all, but what can you do. I’ll probably add this to the tea only dunn bros that I’ll order. You might like this site if you enjoy Starbucks because they burn their beans too

These guys roast their own coffee, and sell Fair-Trade beans. The location I went to has an on-site roasting machine, really cool. I tried a couple of samples, before buying the brew they had going… overall, good staff… excellent coffee choices… and nice place to just sit and enjoy a cup of joe. Reminded me of Peets, etc.

There are things I like and don’t like about this coffee shop. This is a nice location and atmosphere for meetings — it’s close to downtown without being in downtown and having to deal with majorly expensive parking just for a 20 minute meeting. It also offers limited free parking in the back and plenty of tables. On the board yesterday, there was a note that said you get 25 cents off your drink if you parked at a meter. We did(the lot was full), so that was nice. There’s free Internet and the building is pretty cool too. On the flip side, I just don’t really like their lattes much. They were roasting beans as my friend and I came in yesterday, and he noted that it smelled burned. And then I got a latte, which was pretty bitter. I added sugar to my coffee for the first time in probably a three years. Plus, the first 2 – 3 inches of the cup were made up of a stiff milk froth which I actually scooped out. However, if you are a dessert coffee person, you might enjoy some of the specialty drinks(my friend got one that was OK), but snobs like me will be likely be disappointed.

I’m so torn in writing this review! Go in on the weekend and there are upbeat baristas ready to serve you. Go in on a weekday afternoon(usually 3 – 4) and there is a grumpy young woman who makes awful espresso and ALWAYS overcharges you. Seriously? Is that extra $ 0.25 really worth angering a steady customer? I used to love coming here, now I just feel insulted and cheated. I remember when they were celebrating an anniversary and had some specials. Anybody worth flirting with got told about them. I, on the other hand, was not told a medium coffee would have been cheaper than my small. Way to reward loyalty. So, that would leave me at 3 stars. Now you’ve taken away the free refills and the Dunn Bros reward card(probably not your fault) and I am left with two stars for the pair of charming weekend baristas.

I have to say of all the dunn bros i’ve been to I love this one the most.(I used to like to haunt the depot location but their parking lot can fit 5 subcompact cars and that’s about it) Anyhuuuuu. This location is close to where I live, play and work so it’s an easy pit stop on my way to work to get a double late Carmel cocaine with whip(OK that drink isn’t on the menu :) staff is friendly and not fake friendly, they care about serving you and don’t act like you’re a burden when you order. WIFI is a plus and plenty of parking on the back and Monte Carlo lot before 11.

Out of all the Dunn Bros I’ve been to, I think this location has the best vibes! I’ve gotten so much work done here in the past, and the whole overall décor of this place reminds me of Minneapolis in the 1800s. whatever that means. I enjoy the golden/wooden colored undertones of the place, it gives it a warm feeling, that really allows you to get your stuff done in a reasonable amount of time. I haven’t been here when it has been super busy, but for the most part, the baristas a pretty decent. made me a mean cappuccino! Very nice people, tons of business meetings, and business people surrounding you, and good treats! I love Dunn Bros in general, but man, this location is the best!

Used to live in MPLS. Couldn’t live without my Dunn Bros coffee, but when we up and moved to Seattle, the supposed coffee capital of the US, I believed I wouldn’t miss it. Well, it’s been 8 years and I’ve still to find one coffee merchant who can surpass the quality and freshness of a cup of Dunn Bros. They roast their own beans on site daily, at each location, so it’s as fresh as you can get. Their shot sizes are larger than Starbucks, so you get more for your buck. I LOVEDUNNBROS. Everything is great, from hot to cold drinks. IF you like weak, mediocre coffee, you won’t like it though. It’s rich and dark. They also have a soft serve coffee ice cream that will rock your tongue on a hot summer night. Sure, I’ve had the occasional bum cup o brew where it seemed the machine had some rancid bean residue a lazy employee didn’t steam away with hot water, but it happens MUCH more every where else I go than it does here. Try the cold drinks. They make their iced«fraps» with shots instead of just the coffee powder. Give em a try! You won’t regret. Now only if I could get them to open a franchise out in Seattle. hmmmmm…

Walked the 3 blocks or so over to this Dunn Bros. for some espresso. Got the triple shot Machiatto. Good espresso. Not as cool a place as the other Dunn Bros. I visited from an ambiance standpoint — but good caffeine!
