Honestly, it wasn’t the best coffee I’ve ever had but I was a bigger fan of the building that this coffee shop is located in and they had cozy seating. Probably wouldn’t be the first coffee shop I’d be rushing to return to, but enjoyed it all the same.

I really enjoyed this Dunn Bros. I am personally a HUGE fan of their Ice Cremas, because they are simply SO CREAMY. I have never been disappointed when I ordered one.
I enjoyed that this one had both an upstairs and a downstairs, however I did notice that there was no elevator, and VERY limited seating downstairs. So if there was someone who could not handle walking up the stair case, they might not have very many options of seating.
I liked that they had 2 lines– 1 for buying coffee beans, and 1 for purchasing drinks.

Overall I think it is a good place to work, a lot of seating upstairs: both tables, and comfy chairs. Also, I noticed that there are a good amount of places to plug things in, which for a student is VERY important to me when I am choosing a study location.

WORST SMOOTHIE EVER! It was an artificial cup of corn syrup, didn’t even finish it.
Otherwise I really liked the ambiance and wifi was good!

Coffee gets 5 stars! No doubt about that. All their coffees are stellar and strong. A medium is a 4 shot espresso jolt, which rivals all other coffee companies. Their pastries are just as luscious and filling.
Now why 3 stars? Service. Service at this particular location receives a 1.
I had been to this location 3 different times during this holiday week, hoping their coffee excellence would seep into their service.
First time: not friendly but efficient.
Second time: The cashier seemed bothered by my Mother’s indecisiveness. And was not helpful with decision making. When I asked for butter it was tossed at me without a smile.
Third time: I spoke the «forbidden» language of Starbucks — asking for a «grande» latte. The cashier looked at me and said, «what size do you want?» And pointed to the board above, noting I said «grande» and not «medium». Once I corrected myself, she responded with, «yeah…ok…» And an award winning eye roll.
Each time I paid and left with a smile and «happy holidays». Not one smile back …
Now I’ve been on the other side of the coin, working holidays in customer service, as long as you smile, you can make someone’s day brighter, but 3 grim attitudes from 3 grim people? Maybe they need a jolt of their own coffee and a cinnamon bun!

Walked over here with some coworkers for a coffee break. As someone traveling on business, I love checking out local coffee shops. Dunn Brothers usually has some good coffee. I ordered the Mayan Mocha– it had a nice cinnamon kick to it.

Friendly staff, good munchies. A nice, quiet, cozy place to go when you want to get out of the cold!

Without my cup of joe in the morning, I am pretty much a large door stop. So it is critical for me to have that fuel in the am. Dunn Bros. is my high test and I always come here to stock up on pounds of coffee for the way home.
On top of the delicious roasted whole bean coffee, the people here are friendly, the pastries and food stuffs are tasty and they are also pretty quick.
Always look forward to my visits here and will be sure to return!

Cool place in MSP. I visited the location right next to the Renaissance Hotel. This Detroiter was pleasantly surprised with the chill vibe, great coffee selection and nice conversation from the barista. Definitely recommend a visit!

A coffee house in a very strategic location and a very nice one to hang out. Especially, with its upper deck where you can lounge with your friends, this coffee shop boasts a different architecture than the rest but serves pretty good blends.

Killer cold brew and the pistachio muffin. That is all.
Oh, and ample seating and tables upstairs. A real pleasure to post up there for a productive afternoon.

Great coffee and tea. Excellent soundtrack that is eclectic enough to inspire an interesting atmosphere and subtle enough to remain below an irritating level of distraction.

Only a couple spots for parking, but bike Parking makes it a convenient place to get coffee pastries in the morning. Friendly people

Well, another chain which serves bad coffee. This place became a meeting point for my colleagues and we get there for coffee in the morning. Atmosphere definitely makes a great impression but not espresso which I would think should be opposite. Exposed brick, paintings of local artists and beans that they roast right there looks cool but that’s all. :(In Minneapolis fortunately there are many other great coffee shops which make excellent drink so don’t fall for an atmosphere or free wifi.

Today was my first time at this place. Everything seemed pretty alright, just your run of the mill coffee shop. But then I caught sight of this mad cute barista on duty (I think her name’s Marisa). And, aw man, the way she pulls those espresso shots, so arousing. No one does it quite like her. This place is a bit out of the way for me but I’m going to start making an effort to come by more often.

Well, golly gee. Isn’t this the fanciest coffee shop I’ve ever been to?!
Their sign outside refers to them in the proper sense (Dunn Brothers as opposed to Dunn Bros.) and nothing about this place is not fancy.
I think I’ve decided that Dunn Bros (ahem, Brothers) is my most favorite local coffee shop chain. This version is super dapper, and would be my favorite fancy location of their parking situation weren’t so awful. Small lot in back, street parking around here is always a nightmare.
Their loft area upstairs is so comfy, so cozy and as I’m typing this from one of their plush chairs, someone is playing the piano next to me and let me tell you it’s delightful.

Of all the coffee chains, I love Dunn Bros the most (Dogwood is the best coffee in the world if we’re talking independents) and this location is no exception. The staff is super friendly, it’s a convenient location and they have a good beer, wine and food selection as well.
I stop in almost every morning on my way to work and I’ve had nothing but an excellent positive experience with the staff and the food they prepare.

I come here nearly every saturday for the spanish speaking group. I really like this location. The upstairs is perfect for studying or socializing. Gets a little hot sometimes though. The staff is really friendly. Can’t speak much to the coffee since I usually stick with tea but I like the selection. I only wish they had more parking.

Wanting to try a local coffee spot on my way to the office & chose Dunn Bros
Was happy to hear they use 2 shots for Small; 3 for Medium; 4 for Large
I’m initially thinking score on the 3-​shot medium as I usually have to add that extra shot to give it any flavor!
My choice was a Sea Salt Caramel Latte
Unfortunately the coffee was completely weak & tasted watered-​down. The milk was just milk — it added no creamy flavor-​layer for the drink
On top of that, they didn’t even use real caramel but the caramel-​flavored syrup & I loathe flavored syrups
Gives the coffee a weird flavor & always leaves me w/​a nasty aftertaste
Final insult was the cost. $ 4.75 for a Medium Caramel Latte? Craziness!

Why 4 stars? Because it’s good coffee and awesome tea.

I tried Dunn out when visiting my parents in Houston, and actually thought it was a Mom-​n-​Pop shop at the time. I looked it up, and learned that this was actually a Minneapolis-​based chain, so I thought I should try it out on our way to a Twins game. I always like drinking something fruity (like Apple Juice) after a coffee. I love coffee, but it sure can leave a stale aftertaste. Dunn is great because you can enjoy some kind of nice mango tea as a coffee chaser. I’m far from a lover of tea, but I’m a huge fan of Dunn’s.

Opens early, closes late and is a great place to stop in for catching up with a friend or looking to get work done without the distractions of home.
I liked that it wasn’t super crowded, despite having a good amount of people there. They have a good amount of seating upstairs and even a space for large groups.
After 7 years of living nearby, wish I started coming sooner.
