China Moon

Stopped in to pick up my order which was not ready when all I ordered was crab Rangoon and two soups on a Tuesday night. Crab Rangoon was good but soups were barely edible. Not very warm, very thick with no flavor… Pretty disgusting. I threw them both away without eating more than a few bites.
Never again

Wow, did this place surprise me! I needed food quick between appointments and I pulled over for literally the first place I saw.
Lunch combo: shrimp chow mein, rice, and egg drop soup for under $ 6! And without any extra charges for the shrimp! And it tastes delicious.
I grabbed their to go menu so I can order delivery from here.

The place look like a dive inside but the food is delicious I always order the combinations it’s a good deal and they deliver which is good and they have a good quality cheesecake and I love their handmade dumplings. I’m not too fond other Pepsi products I like Coke but overall it was a good experience

Anyone else swear they lace their sweet & sour sauce with crack? China Moon is what it is – very large portions of above-​average, average Chinese takeout that’s delivered FAST. They might forget your rice once in a blue China moon, but any time I’m Jonesing for preservative-​laden, Americanized Chinese food in Mpls, this is the first place on my mind! Very pleased with the sweet & sour chicken, general Tso’s chicken, dumplings, and crab rangoon in particular. Giddy-​up.

I also ordered food online at 8:10 pm. Around 9:10 I called them to find out they didn’t get my order. I was upset and complained and all if a sudden they got my order and gave them another chance. I then called Beyond Menu and was told they DID get my order at 8:19. Well guess what, china moon said that they lied to me. No they did not. I was lied to alot by China moon. China Moon had to verify the order for beyond menu to know they got it. At 9:15 or so still no food. At 9:50 called again they said it was on the way. At 10:15 I told them to forget my order. DO NOT TRUST THEM. BAD SERVICE. No supper tonight.

Placed an order through the website at 6 p.m., they said it would be an hour. I called at 7:15 to inquire about the order and was told they received it and were busy, but it would be delivered in 20 minutes. By 8 p.m. I still hadn’t received the food and called back. They said they had no record of the order, even though they previously stated they did and I had a confirmation number. AVOID!

This place is what it is… And it’s awesome!
Dinner specials are $ 7-​$ 8 and come with SO MUCH FOOD! Get the dinner specials for sure!
1) Choose an entrée from their extensive list (right side of the menu) of both meat and vegetarian options.
2) The entrée comes with a pork egg roll and a side of chicken fried rice
3) Allow 10 – 15 minutes on to go orders
4) Walk in or get it delivered and if it’s delicious greasy Asian food you want… You definitely chose the right place!
Family run and very hard working they are always busy every time I come in and they are always consistent with their quoted times and quality.
Thanks for your hard work and I’m glad you are my neighbor! You will be a life saver here during my first Minnesota winter!

This was the third time I’ve ordered from China Moon, each time was a bit of a disappointment, but today was the worst. We ordered the orange chicken and Kon Pao chicken with white rice, two very simple dishes. However, despite the delivery being under the estimate, the food was so bad. I don’t know what they did, if it was the chicken or maybe the oil they used, but one bite and the first thing to come to mind was rotten chicken flavor… I kid you not, It literally tasted like rotten chicken.

China Moon is damn damn DAMN good. The prices are stellar and the food truly delivers (pun intended).
Cream cheese wontons are perfectly crispy. Chicken lo mein I could eat every night for dinner. Their chicken fried rice is nice, it has actual pieces of white meat in it which I don’t feel like you see very often.
They’re open til 10:30 every night and the delivery minimum is only $ 15! Can’t beat it.

Ordered the beef and broccoli combo that came with chicken fried rice and an eggroll, as well as cream cheese ragoons, egg drop soup, and beef lo mein. I got it delivered via GrubHub. Even after the delivery fee (to a third party since I live a bit far) it was moderately priced for Chinese.
The beef and broccoli plate was a good size and everything seemed to be of good quality. The broccoli was fresh and still crisp and everything tasted nice. The egg roll was perfectly ginger-​y and the ragoons were large with a lot of cheese. The only dish I was unhappy with was the egg drop soup. It had the consistency of raw eggs (or mucus) which made it impossible to eat. I’m not sure if it’s because it had cooled during delivery so coagulated or if it was a bad batch, but I’ve never had egg drop that was this thick.
Overall, I’d order from again, but definitely a miss on the soup.

Straight up Minnesota nice Chinese food. Always friendly over the phone and fast delivery times. Hot and sour soup, Chinese doughnuts and steamed dumplings are a wonderful combination. Food isn’t the best I’ve ever had but does the trick for late night cravings.

Food is fine, but delivery service is absolutely AWFUL. We have ordered from them for over a year and every time, there is some sort of issue with finding our apartment. I’ve spelled it out in the delivery instructions, followed up with phone calls and am almost ALWAYS disappointed with at least an hour and a half to two hour delivery time. If we weren’t in a complete delivery food desert, I would definitely NOT order from here again. Instead, we order at least 2 hours before we’re hungry knowing we won’t get fed until then.

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had… The spicy beef had no spice and tasted like it had plum sauce poured over it, the beef was minimal and had no flavor. Even the husbands food was flavorless and he hardly ever complains about food. The only decent thing about our meal was the cream cheese wontons, which came with about 12 ounces of plum sauce. There must’ve been a sale on plum sauce recently. I was hoping this place would be good since its close to home and they deliver.

Pretty average delivery Chinese. The walnut shrimp was served on a bed of lettuce, which I didn’t love because warm lettuce grosses me out. The shrimp was mediocre and I would have liked more sauce. The cream cheese wontons were really fresh and crispy though. The delivery came 20 minutes earlier than expected, and the driver was extremely friendly. The price was decent. It was ok, but I’m still looking for my favorite greasy Chinese place.

I’m surprised by all the low reviews. China Moon is what it is… delicious, Americanized Chinese food. I order online each time and have never had a problem with their delivery or take out. I typically order the amazing chicken or sesame chicken. Yum!

I didn’t realize it was possible to screw up chinese-​american food. But then I came here.
Worst egg rolls I’ve ever had. Crab rangoon was flavorless, and the chicken with curry sauce left a lot to be desired.
I will not be trying this restaurant again.

The service at this place is absolutely awful. Don’t bother placing an order on the phone unless you have at least a half hour. Tried to order something on the menu and they couldn’t find it in their ordering system. I would rather walk 30 more feet down the street to the CVS and down 20 bottles of pain killers than stop at this place.

Of all the Chinese delivery places I’ve tried in the twin cities, this one is far and away my favorite. I always get the hot and sour soup and the amazing chicken, and I have never been disappointed. The sauce on the chicken is bursting with flavor, and the vegetables are never overcooked. And they deliver fast, so the food arrives fresh and hot. No it’s not authentic (I go to grand Szechuan in Bloomington if i want authentic) but it’s reasonably priced, quickly delivered, and really tasty.
