I came for lunch and was not impressed. Had cheese garlic bread and a pizza. The marinara was okay but everything else was bland and the crust forgettable. I also don’t understand why someone would order«Italian Fries.» It is just a pizza without marinara, but then they give you the marinara on the side. There are no shakers of garlic like I’m used to. I find it strange that this place can coexist with a Papa John’s, Domino’s and Punch Pizza on the same block radius. Punch Pizza is the only decent choice. Don’t go for boba or «bubble tea» next door. It was equally disappointing.

Great game day bar. Outside of game day, it’s generally a pretty chill place. As for dishes, I recommend basically any pizza. They’re worth coming back for. And if you are okay with catfish, the catfish po’ boy is one of my favorite dishes that I’ve had in the Twin Cities. Prices are a little high for a bar setting. Most meals will run you around $ 12 or so. Further, the best deal that they have for drinks is $ 3 drinks and shots of the week. Otherwise, prices aren’t anything too high or cheap. Worth hitting up on Thursday and Sunday nights for karaōke as well.

Let me start by saying that I used to love this place. Today was a disappointment though. The waitress gave us the wrong prices for the beer. Then the fries that I ordered looked and tasted stale. Not happy!

Good pie, beer, and prices. Nothing outstanding, if you want that head over to the nearby punch pizza. For what it is I actually was impressed by the pizza. The atmosphere is a bit boring for me, kind of old small town pizza joint style– not new location popular college area pizza place. I would hesitantly go back, but my pizza standards are extremely high. No major complaints, staff was very nice.

Best thin crust pizza on the Minnesota campus or nearby. Great atmosphere for the college sports fan.

Pizza. Good pizza. Beer.(Is there bad beer?). Maroon and Gold. Lots of Maroon and Gold. If you’re headed to Campus Pizza on a game day, you had better get there early. That’s not much of a review. Let me try again … If you’re looking for good pizza, cold beer(or soft drinks, I suppose) at a reasonable price and to be immersed in the U of M atmosphere, Campus Pizza is a great choice.

Honestly love the crap out of Campus Pizza! Their pizza is so good; with its hearty sauce and loads of cheese. And I don’t know why, but pizza cut in squares just tastes better. It’s kind of a comfort food. Their cheese fries are also to die for. Cheese fries should be mandatory on all pizza parlor menus. Who doesn’t love pizza dough covered in olive oil, cheese, and marinara sauce on the side? Staff here are pretty friendly. I love the occasional guy that has an offbeat sense of humor. Definitely more inviting than some other pizza joints around campus.

Okay, so, my bad for ordering the calzone thinking that since you called it a calzone it might actually resemble a calzone in some way. If i had read the menu, I may have been prepared for the leaky monstrosity of chewy mozzarella, sickly sweet red sauce(inside a calzone? for shame.), raw onions, and absolutely no ricotta. luckily the dough was stretched thinly enough that the contents were fully exposed, warning away any curious diners who might think they wanted a taste. Truly one of the most disappointing food items I’ve ever paid for. But it’s my fault, I should have read the menu. The pizza, on the other hand, has no excuse. It could be compared to the sort of pizza that was served in public schools in the early 90s, but not favorably. We ordered the Paulson Special: Limp, overly chewy crust with a sweet, possibly ketchup-based tomato sauce, and a fair sprinkling of a decent cheese topped with an extremely conservative helping of flavorless pepperoni and dried-out sausage bits. I don’t know who Paulson is, but if that were me, I’d ask to have my name taken off the menu. The real tragedy here is that I LOVE pizza. I even like bad pizza. I really didn’t think you could screw it up. Now I know better.

Sometimes bigger does’nt always mean better. I liked the old campus pizza better, it had more soul. The new campus pizza is new and shiny and smells like fresh vinyl. The old campus pizza was old and dingy and smelled like a million pizzas had been cooked there. Checkered table clothes on the new tables doesnt make a good pizzeria. It had been a while since I had a Campus pie and I was looking forward to it. After I ordered it took a good forty-five to fifty minutes to get my pizza. Which was odd because the place was almost empty. The pie seemed smaller then before and had more sauce and less cheese and toppings. I realize that the cook has a lot to do with the pizza but nevertheless I was dissapointed.

Campus Pizza is within walking distance from the University. I wouldn’t recommend parking because street parking is hard to come by. I ordered the thin crust pizza 4×4 which comes with canadian bacon, pepperoni, hamburger, and sausage. Delicious meat heaven! The thin crust is crunchy and has a soft doughy center.

My son lives just off campus and suggested we try Campus Pizza, so we did. Washington Ave is closed to traffic with the construction of the transit system on Washington. Parking can be an issue during daytime hours. Meters are bagged. The place was mostly empty on a Saturday night at 6pm, but it was Labor Day weekend so that may have been the reason why, or students were still settling in for the new year. We had a Unilocal coupon for Italian Fries so we tried that as an appetizer. Italian Fries is a small pizza crust with just cheese on it, cut up into thin long pieces, like a FF. You get a side of pizza sauce to dunk the fry into. I hate to rag on food that I get for free as it is not the proper thing to do. It was OK, but I would not order it if I had to pay for it. I hope Campus Pizza keeps doing the Unilocal coupons for other items if they don’t already. It’s a wonderful way to get folks to try other items. We ordered up a couple of pizza’s with thin crust. Toppings were plentiful for your money, cheese was stringy and gooey… mmmmmm. My son and I shared a 4×4 which is a meat lovers. I think they forgot one of the meat types as I could find only three. I would say I have had better thin crust pizza’s, but I also have had worse. If the place was packed, I would not wait around for pizza and I would adventure out to try other pizza joints. This place probably is a great place for students to hang out in and get a pizza that they can afford. We’ll stop back again and give it another try next time we are in town.

Some places just hold a place in your heart because they bring back memories of a fun and more care free time. Campus pizza was our go to joint freshman year when we were too young for the bars but wanted to get the hell outta the dorms. I can’t even go there without having a certain group of people with me and every time we do, stories and memories of being stupid 18⁄19 year olds still always come up. The place is usually pretty empty, well, until game day rolls around. Located on Washington near most the major Gopher sports venues, all the alumni coming back for the games know what’s up and head here for a pre-game feast. The place literally gets packed from wall to wall with a line out the door sometimes. So just a heads up, if your lookin to get your thin crust pizza munch on, have you schedule handy and find a time to go when there won;t be a mob of hungry sports fans enjoying dinner with you. Another tip, go on Sunday’s, large pizza’s start at only 8.99 + 1.50/extra topping. Also, look for them in your Daily Card if you’re lucky enough to possess one of those bad boys. They have two different deals in there annually also.

I’d been meaning to give this place a try for awhile now, and this past weekend, I finally got the chance. I stopped in for a carry out. For 7 oclock on a Saturday they place was pretty empty, I grabbed a seat at the bar, and ordered a Paulson(pepperoni and sauasage). It only took about 10 minutes and I was on my way. The pizza was very good, with a thin crispy crust and a full flavored sauce. The sausage had a nice kick to it as well. A medium was more than enough for one, so I had leftovers. Its good cold as well, which in my opinion adds a lot to the quality of a pizza. I will certainly be back.

With a different pizza place literally every 10 feet on the U of M Campus, Campus Pizza is my favorite pizza place on campus. Their pizza is great and surprisingly so are their wings. The pizza is seasoned well and the service is always great. Their wings are perfectly juicy and tender; I prefer their wings over Buffalo Wild Wings any day. The wings are kind of mild, so I usually ask for them to be hotter. This is the one pizza place on campus that is good for large groups because there is actually enough space to sit down and enjoy a game. Campus Pizza is one of two places on campus that I suggest to people who are looking for some great pizza.

Reminds me of pizza my dad and I used to get from Chips Pizza in Ramsey on Sundays between church and bowling. Campus Pizza has really good thin crust pizza, the kind cut into the little squares. Plenty of tangy sauce and a thick helping of cheese, and the crust doesn’t wilt when you hold it. My favorite is their pepperoni, but I also like their hawaiian. We have been ordering this at work for several years and we are always pleased with their customer service. Also, delivery is always on time or even a few minutes early. If you like thin crust pizza, Campus Pizza is a solid choice.

So, with a name like«Campus Pizza», I expected some crappy pizza intended for drunk college kids on their way home from the bars, too drunk to know the difference. I was so wrong. This pizza is GOOD. The crust is crunchy and chewy at the same time; a delicious sauce combined with Wisconsin mozzarella cheese makes for a great pie. I had a 9 inch personal sized pizza and it was perfect for lunch. I’ve been here for more than three years and have walked by this place more times than can ever be considered acceptable. Don’t be me. Stop by and have some delicious pizza if you are on campus. You won’t regret your choice.
