Bloom Sugar Bloom

I work around here and I had walked past this place several times. One day after work, I decided to surprise my boyfriend with some flowers so I headed on over.
My first impression of this place is that it’s tiny. Very tiny. The first thing you see is the display filled with flowers for arrangements as well as couple of pre-​arranged flowers. There is also a card rack, vase options, balloons, and a lot of candy options to make candy bouquets. I was tempted with the candy, but my boyfriend has no sweet tooth to speak of, so I focused my attention on the flowers.
Walking to the flower display I was hoping to just grab a prearranged vase of flowers and be on my way, but was little disheartened when there was only two to pick from (one being very basic rose arrangement while the other had a very colorful, springiness to it). Neither of them really suited my fancy, thus began the very awkward, long standing session while the floweriest watched over me silently. Thankfully, she realized I was just completely helpless and started asking me questions to get an idea what I was looking for («what’s the occasion? who are they for? what type of arrangement were you hoping to get?) She asked if I wanted something more of a Fall vibe to it, which was perfect because I had been eyeing these beautiful yellow and red roses that would be perfect for such a theme.
The florists then went to work and picked up some of those gorgeous roses and then picked matching flowers that all complemented each other very well. I also picked out a cheap vase to put them in and waited for her to put it all together.
It turned out beautiful, like, amazingly beautiful. As I realized this, I became nervous of how much this was going to cost me. To my surprise, it was only $ 32 (including a $ 6 vase). The florists also gave me a box to carry it all in which was great since I was driving home and had no idea how it wasn’t going to tip over.
My boyfriend loved them and was really impressed. Even more impressive was how long they lasted! It’s been over two weeks and while they are visibly wilted some, they are still presentable and no petals have fallen. I highly recommend this place if you want something more personal and special to give someone! Great Service, great flowers, and great prices!
