I am originally from Los Angeles and I have to say that I think this place is solid. It might not be the best Mexican food in the whole city, but the food is consistently cooked well, hot and fresh, tasty and honestly really good. The place is clean, the salsa bar is maintained and the staff are always friendly whenever I come in. I eat here fairly often for a quick and actually fairly healthy meal, I would recommend it for a quick bite any day.

I give this place 4⁄5 stars yet I don’t know why they are in business. I typically come here with a mobile coupon that’s buy one and a drink and get one. It’s a good deal and kind of necessary because otherwise this place is expensive for what you get. I really enjoy their chicken nachos but the quality is inconsistent. Sometimes the toppings are even, sometimes not so much. Sometimes it’s heated thoroughly, sometimes not. It’s kind of hit or miss but when it’s good, it’s really tasty and I love their chips and salsa bar(thank god they stopped charging for it). Customer service is pretty meh. Often the checkout dude is on his phone. Their bathroom is to be avoided and high chairs are super sticky. There’s nothing special about this place. I really don’t know who eats here, it’s often rather empty. That said, I love those stupid chicken nachos and will return — with mobile coupon in hand, of course.

Salsa and Tacos were good, met expectations for fast food. Rice was undercooked. Had a few Salsas missing from the buffet area. Cashier had difficulty understanding our order, so we cut out order short. They lost about 25% of the check value. Bathrooms were not well kept. Will not be eating here for a while.

Over the weekend my mom and I went to Mother Gardens Pant store, which I reviewed here: and we got hungry… it was lunchtime, after all and was so very happy to find this Baja Sol so very close by! We got the Baja Fish Tacos(which was awesome) and we helped ourselves to the free all you can eat heated warm chips with the numerous salsa! My mom loved the spicy and I opted for the Mango Salsa which was semi-sweet and delicious! So awesome… I wish there was a Baja Sol’s close to where I live!

The great American shrinking meal. I used to eat here on a semi regular basis, but not for the last year or so. What a difference a year or so makes. 2 Tacos with sides of rice AND beans used to come in a little over $ 5 depending on whether they were Baja or American style. This came with free salsa and chip bar. Fast forward to 2014 and those same tacos are $ 7.50. They now come with rice OR beans and the chips & salsa are $ 1 more. I understand there has been some inflation lately, but it certainly isn’t 50−60%. Fortunately for me nearby options have opened lately that offer a greater variety at a competitive price.

The biggest asset to Baja Sol used to be the unlimited free chips and salsa. The burritos are far inferior to Chipotle, aren’t as filling, and the service here is usually sub par. With that said, for the money, you got a decent burrito and lots of chips and salsa. It was a nice change of pace from other fast casual Mexican restaurants every now and then, especially if you were in the mood for chips with your meal. Unfortunately, they’ve decided to start charging for the chips and salsa. It’s not that 99 cents is a high price to pay for this, it’s just that the burrito was only a good deal specifically because it came with chips and salsa for free. If I’m paying as much, and in some cases more, than I would for a burrito at Chipotle for a significantly drop in quality in product and service, and now I’m also being charged for the item that set you apart from the pack, why wouldn’t I just go to Chipotle? It feels like they don’t really understand their place in the market and why people go to a Baja Sol in a metro area abound with ethnic food choices ranging from fast to casual to authentic. I know it may sound petty, but I’m unlikely to be back with this new change in policy. It’s just not worth what you pay comparatively.

The nachos were almost inedible as that meat stuff was yucky. My beef tacos and tiny container of beans for $ 7.50 was a waste of money. The only thing interesting was their fancy name for this restaurant.

I came here during weekday lunch hour — my first Baja Sol experience(I always pass this place!). I got the Carnitas American tacos with rice. I was pleased with the chip bar — the mango salsa was a favorite and I loved having fresh lime and cilantro to dump on pretty much every part of my meal. It was maybe up to a 10min wait for my food. The numbers got called all out of order, so I’m not sure how they prioritize and prep. When my number was called, my tacos were with beans instead of rice. It took a min to get the attention of someone to fix it, but they eventually did. The carnitas and rice were basically flavorless. I added lime juice, cilantro, and salsa to aid in the flavor. The tacos, rice, and chips/salsa did not fill me up, and I’m a small girl. I wasn’t impressed, but it was a value lunch, and the cashier was super kind and friendly. Tip: I went to use the bathroom, located down a narrow hall. First you have to go through one door, at which point you have to look around and figure out where the bathrooms are, because you thought it WAS the bathroom door. But you’re actually in a utility room first — then you take a turn to find the bathrooms.

A goto lunch place for me. They tend to be better than Taco Bell but a slim margin. The salsa bar is a nice feature. Every now and again they will be out of cardboard boats for you to put your chips in, or things get a bit messy after the lunch crowd has hit it pretty hard. I usually get the fish tacos. If they grilled their fish, I’d go with 4 or 5 stars. They deep fry the fish, so I don’t frequent here as much as I would otherwise. Service has always been good, which I appreciate. Price wise this is a bit steep compared to a Taco Bell. I think Chipotle tastes a bit better and moves quicker. I like to combine a Target run with my lunch when I eat here to pick up sundries.

I am addicted to Baja Sol. I love them all! But I especially love this location because it’s right by my office. I end up here at least 2 times a week(but usually more). I have a problem. But Baja’s a good problem to have. The quality is honestly a little mixed here, it depends on when you go and who is working. But they make up for it with their friendliness. And they know my order! Gotta love being a regular.

With a Baja Sol close by, you’re never tempted to slum it at Taco Bell. As long as you’ve got a coupon, you can’t go wrong with this place. Otherwise, the price is a bit steep compared with the Bell, that is until you consider that Baja Sol offers a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes and sides with much higher quality and flavor to match. Free chips and a salsa bar with at least a dozen different kinds are the icing on the cake.

Don’t bother floor dirty, saw guy wipe the counter with a rag he just used on the floor. Food was slow and eating area was dirty as well. Trash was over flowing too. Pass on this one.

Not very impressed. Food was ok at best, the salsa is a joke(though there are several options). I ordered 3 tacos, a small drink and paid $ 9.79 — over priced. You get the option of beans, rice, or coleslaw… Coleslaw? I got rice, so bland. Bleh…
