Munzesheimer Manor

Pretty much a «ditto» for Heather H.‘s review. This B&B is an easy drive from the Canton trade days, and it’s a beautiful place to stay. I understand that they will be raising their rates, but in doing so, the manor is adding a host of amenities and new constructions. I am very excited for all the Bret and Ashlee will accomplish in 2015 with the place, and I am very pleased they are continuing to work with local community businesses to create a properous community in Mineola. If you take the Amtrak train to Mineola, you can even walk to the manor from the train, although I’m sure the Ungers could arrange transportation.
Bret and Ashlee go far out of their way to make guests feel at home and relaxed at the manor, and they love to talk about the manor’s history and about the Grand Saline/​Mineola area. Make sure you attend breakfast every day. The food is wonderful (I’m glad they’re changing back to the beignet coffee!) and the hospitality will make your vacation excellent.

Loved this little B&B in Mineola. Great little weekend trip, decided to stay here for the first Mondays in Canton. Best decision ever, will be back.

I have visited this bed and breakfast twice. They have rooms in the house and little cottages outside the house and both are very well decorated. The owners are nice and sociable, and the breakfast is quite delicious and definitely enough to fill you up. The stay was comfortable and romantic, and I feel relaxed after visiting. There is something special about staying at a bed and breakfast. The house is charmingly old, which also means that the stairs and floorboards creak when you walk on them. They also have 2 friendly cats which will visit with you inside or outside and 2 well behaved Scottie dogs that love people. This is the only B&B I have been to so I can’t compare, but I will surely return again when I need some time to relax and get away from the city.
