Every time I go to the Beaverton farmers market I have to stop by this coffee cart first. I would say they are one of the best coffees you’ll get in Portland. The owner definitely knows his beans, shots and best flavor combos. He offers a variety of flavors and alternative milks. There was even cashew milk one time I ordered. Mochas are my favorites here, perfect balance of coffee and chocolate and not like a loaded sugar bomb like majority of commercial coffee establishments. My favorite is the pony espresso revelry. Double shot coffee and tasty bittersweet chocolate. The owner himself is very friendly always service with a smile on his face and is open to custom orders.

Really enjoyed the Espresso Revival I had at the Beaverton Farmers Market. Excellent shot pull with my favorite part the crema. Owner definitely understands his espresso, milk and flavor combos and wants to make sure his drinks are delivered with his construction. This will be a must stop from now on at the Market.

I finally found this elusive, unicorn Pony truck! The parking lot of Safeway in Milwaukie! YESSS! I stalked him for the name of his business, I stayed for a coffee. ‘Twas good. Pony. Pony. Pony.

Great coffee, nice owner(Bruce), what’s not to love. I am lucky that my office is on his daily route so I get to enjoy his coffee more than just Saturdays at the farmers market.

Nothing beats a sunny Saturday morning at the Beaverton Farmers Market. And nothing beats the simply scrumptious brews that leave this vendor’s window. Pony Espresso is technically a «cart vendor,» I think — it’s a truck with a window on one side. Every Saturday I see it parked in it’s usual spot by the waffle stand, a line of people waiting for Bruce(the coffee man) to yell out, «What can I make you today?» There is only room for one person in this cart, and it’s a very good thing that Bruce is that person. Bruce is has many«regulars» and he is just the right amount of jovial. While he’s expertly concocting your drink, he will chat you up and never miss a beat. He uses Stumptown coffee(my personal fave) and really wicked whipped cream. There are amusing stickers and pictures on the refrigerator behind him.(There’s a pic of him shaking John Kerry’s hand and an anti-Starbucks sign). No matter how large your order, he can add all the pricees in his head. I suspect he cuts several people a good deal with this antic so I make sure to tip him. Until I had Bruce’s soy chai, I didn’t know anyone could make it so good. Oh man, was it good. I drank all 16 oz. which I NEVER do. And I will do it again! This Saturday.
