We just had my daughters wedding there and the space was amazing but the incredible lack of service was so upsetting that I am ready to sue them! They took so long to serve dinner we had guests clearly upset they gave guests wrong food when we had table cards at each setting. They also picked up chargers we rented for wedding after salad course??? We had approx 80 people for dinner and only 3 servers it was really a serious disappointment. They served our champagne toast before dinner when it was suppose to be with dinner. The only thing that saved the wedding was the space was beautiful we arranged for uplighting and had amazing flowers. We were going to hire a wedding planner to help with day of details but Valerie the manager said oh no she could handle everything with dinner well she was so unprofessional and so clearly not interested it was very hurtful. I could not recommend the women’s club unless they cleaned up their act and hire a true professional staff. What a shame!

You can’t just walk in and have dinner here, but if you join a Club member, you can eat in the dining room and enjoy the old wood and ornate décor, not to mention the elegant presentions. We went for a Friday night fish fry. The choices and quality were decent, but hardly outstanding. for the $ 14.95 charge. However, it’s nice to enjoy a cocktail in the lovely lounge and appreciate the heritage of the place going back to the mid 19th century.

I rarely write a negative review but I was just recently reminded of this situation and wanted to forewarn other brides: DONOTHAVEYOURWEDDINGHERE. My fiancé and I chose the Women’s Club for our wedding venue. Just before completing the contract(and days before our invites went out), my husband sent them back the agreement with a red-line for indemnification. Their contract was written so broadly that it suggested if a waiter slip and fall while serving our party, we would be liable. After receiving the contract, we expected they would call to discuss the agreement. Instead, the planner called to tell us we would no longer be allowed to have the wedding there. That was it, case closed. Just for questioning their agreement, we were kicked out. These ladies are not willing to work with us. Everything was an inconvenience. Fortunately for us, a weekend opened up at a better venue and we truly had the wedding of our dreams. The lack of professionalism was stunning.
