You’ve probably seen me checking in on Wednesday nights. Uihlein is one thing that stays consistent for me year round. I play indoor with a co-ed team all the sessions offered. I’ve worked it out and it costs about $ 10 per game for me to play on my team. They have beer if you want to stay after to celebrate your victory or commiserate your loss. Things on my Uihlein wish list: –Fix the scoreboard on field 3 so that it works consistently. Everybody already hates field 3. –Change the playoff format to not have to «play up» to the championship. It sucks getting out after 25 minutes. Also, changing the format puts more importance on the regular session games. –Better refs… some of them are quite good, but then you get two bad ones and it gets crazy

My son is on a soccer league and this was our first experience with Uihlein Park, I never even knew it existed. WOW, what a place! As you walk past the building there are soccer fields as far as you can see. The fields up close to the building are VERY nice ones with astro turf, bleachers and covered team areas. I heard that The Wave practices there but I’m not sure. The back fields are your normal grass soccer fields where you bring your own chair and hike it down there to find your spot. We were there for a tournament and I was really impressed by the place. Vendors set up to sell their goods during and they have different food for sale — of course not the cheapest but they have to make their money too. Returned for an indoor game night and it was really neat. There are 3 indoor fields from what I could see(it was packed) and there are no sidelines so the kids kick it off the walls and the ball stays in play — it was wild! Huge plexiglass shields block the parents from getting smacked with a ball during the game but it makes it very hard to cheer your kid on — they can’t hear you. Snacks and beverages are sold. I agree with prior reviewer — the refs are definitely not the best, had quite a few issues the different times we were there. Their training needs to be beefed up and they all need to follow the same rule books. Just sayin’ Very cool soccer park. They host bday parties too. A different idea.

Indoor soccer. Beer on tap. Random fights. What more can you ask for? Well, probably better refs, but you can’t win ‘em all. Three indoor soccer fields with field turf. Probably somewhere in the number of seven to 10 full outdoor fields for tournaments, practices, ultimate frisbee, etc. They started the Milwaukee area club soccer world and they’ve managed to keep it up and running. Bravo to them and thanks for all the championship tshirts!
