When I go in there to ask a question the amount of info and the care (not to mention the enthusiasm!) with which they impart it is such that I feel compelled to buy something just to make things right.
In one of several conversations I’ve had there (this time with the owner’s son, I believe), I mentioned in passing that I was interested in a certain wading shoe — I mentioned this as we discussed all sorts of other things. He didn’t write anything down as far as I could see. Nonetheless, 30 hours later he called me and told me that what I was looking for didn’t come in the size I mentioned. I was impressed that he remembered, that he researched, and took time to call me about something that meant no financial gain for this business.
I definitely support this place with my business.

If you are new to fly fishing this is definitely a great store to begin leaning about a endeavor that, at least to this novice, felt intimidating. When I told the owner that I didn’t know anything he proceeded to answer any and all questions and spend time walking me through what all the gear is used for and some basic concepts. Other than spending time with a newbie like me it was obvious the store is the go to place for accomplished fly fisherman in the area since a long line of them kept entering and the owner seemed to know them all by first name. Great store, fantastic owner, must check it out if you are new to fly fishing.

What makes this fly fishing shop so unique is these guys are «fisherman. «By this I mean they just love to fish and are not fly fishing elitists or purists. Don’t get me wrong, they do have the knowledge and skill of fly fishing at its most pure level, but they also see the value in using a wide arrange of fishing techniques. This means that no matter your skill level or how you fish you can walk in hear and talk to these guys about fishing and get yourself setup to fly fish without feeling judged.

The Fly Fishers has your fly fishing needs covered. They stock a good amount of rods, reels, waders, and other goods. They also carry a reasonable amount of tying materials as well. Better yet, the people that work there: Pat, Jarod, and Pete, are very friendly and helpful especially to those who are just getting into the habit.
