4 stars… This place is literally a hole in the wall, but I wanted to come solely because I heard so much about the bloodys. The one I got, the«Bourbonador» was good, but definitely not one of the ones that’s a meal in itself. The bacon wrapped bourbon sauced chicken skewer was really good. Celery stick was a bit sad. I got the«Loser» burger. I guess they call it that because it’s the Sobelman’s burger sans jalapeños. Fries were decent(I’m picky about fries) same with the burger. Nothing mind blowing about the meal overall. Would definitely come back to try the other Blood Marys! Especially that huge $ 50 one with the whole chicken, haha.

While in Milwaukee, we were looking for a place to grab some quick food while we waited for my overnight-working-doctor-sister to adjust back to daytime. My bro-in-law suggested Sobelman’s since it wasn’t too far away and they had alcohol and cheese curds. It was a football Saturday but we were able to get a parking spot on their strange hill parking lot right next to their building. They thankfully had a table for the 3 of us to squeeze into and we were promplty greeted. My brother-in-law and husband went immediately to the Bloody Mary menu. I am not a fan but I enjoyed reading about them anyways. As many other reviews have said, these are some fairly crazy creations and they both enjoyed theirs with their side beer. I thought it was impressive that the food toppings that should be hot actually came out hot and fresh! I may have stolen a bacon cheese crack from my husband’s as soon as it showed up, I was really hungry… We got the beer & pretzel cheese bites and the bacon cheese cracks to share. The beer & pretzel bites were cooked great with a good crunch and flavor, however, sadly it was overshadowed by the amazing cracks. Seriously, if it even sounds remotely good to you, just try them. They are little wedges of bad-for-you goodness. I could have eaten the whole plate! One thing I do want to highlight about Sobelman’s was the exceptional service, we were greeted so fast, got our drinks and food as fast as I am sure it could be done and she even proactively brought us all water without asking. My bro-in-law says she is always there and I watched her and she was working so many tables — she was a rock star! Fantastic service. Sadly, since we weren’t eating a meal there, I did not try their burgers — but I am sure I will next time!

Where else can you get a drink(a Bloody Mary) that has more food as garnish then many dinner orders? Here, of course! Seriously, everyone had to come here at least once for the bloody Mary’s. Ira an experience! The food is so-so. But you don’t come here for the food.

The best bloody Mary ever! Yes the photo shows a slider cheeseburger garnish and yes you can eat it! This place is the quintessential burger/pub joint. And most of Milwaukee knows this, as evidenced by the big crowds. Don’t be discouraged, lean in and enjoy the vibe. The 5 stars reflects 70% experience and 30% food quality. The place is family run; we saw 3 of Sobelmans on site! The ambiance is campy and vibrant, boisterous even. The food is fun, they basically do two things: bloody Mary’s and burgers. They’re all good. One tip is to pay attention to the specials for both burgers and bloodies. The other tip is to consider the Bloody Beast; it’s larger than a quart of Bloody Mary and has a whole fried chicken as a garnish!

Milwaukees go to Bloody Mary spot. Whether it’s burgers or fried chickens they do it right. Dave and Melanie, the owners, also have great hospitality.

The Kitchen Sink! That’s what they put on their signature Masterpiece Bloody Mary. 1. Pickle 2. Olive 3. Cube of Cheese 4. Celery 5. Lemon 6. Beefstick 7. Jumbo Shrimp 8. Peperoncini 9. Pickled Asparagus 10. Pickled Brussels Sprout 11. Scallion 12. Freshly Cooked Cheeseburger Slider It’s $ 10. It’s a meal. It will get you buzzed. I’m a Bloody Mary connoisseur, and the garnishes on these babies are absolutely out of control. In a good way. The mix isn’t house-made so that’s a bit of a bummer. They take so much pride in their signature bloodies, you’d think that they’d make their own mix. Not so. This is a roadhouse in the middle of nowheresville in Milwaukee. Because it’s Milwaukee, however, you get your choice of 4 ounce beer on the side as a chaser. Their selection is good, including some from favorite local brewer Lakefront. It’s kinda loud in here, woody and not too fancy. The server, however, remembered me from a couple of weeks ago. That’s a plus. They offer a Baconado Bloody as well with a skewer of bacon wrapped sausages instead of a burger, for when you’re not sure your cholesterol is high enough. They tout themselves as having Milwaukee’s best burger. I wouldn’t give them a bad grade on their burgers, but they remind me of a little bit better than Five Guys with a great bun. You can get all kinds of fixin’s on them, from fried bacon, to fried onions, to fried ham, to cheese and cheese curds. These are once a year kinda burgers. They’re pretty good, but certainly not close to being the best I’ve ever had. Those seasoned fries are tasty– tasty enough to take you to a potato coma. The first time I came here, my friend liked the fries so much he ordered another helping. Yummm. They used to have a Bloody Mary with a full fried chicken on it, but I don’t see it on the menu anymore. It came in a bucket sized glass for two. Shrek sized.

We found this place on Unilocal.Took the Über over for an afternoon lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. First impression is this place is an old school neighborhood bar and monument to Schlitz beer. Way cool. Wifey and I decided to try out the Bloody Mary called the Beast. The girl warned us up front, takes at least 35 – 40 minutes for this, no problem since it was pouring rain. After a couple of drinks, it arrived. OMFG. This thing is 40oz of very tasty bloody, 2 sliders, giant skewers of bacon wrapped cheese curds, all sorts of shrimp, pickles, olives and… an entire fried Whole Chicken. On a stick. Really. Any who, we ate some, and enjoyed what we could. Chicken and the sliders were actually very good. Will go back for the food and the fun atmosphere. Would recommend.

Omg! Tasty food, nice service, just be aware of heart attack alert! Millions of calories! Came here after reading about food wars and had to try their amazing burgers. This cali girl is very health conscious, but when in Rome, we all have to indulge just a little… ok, maybe more like ALOT! So we got the featured«double Sobelman», not 1 but 2 thick paddies on a big bun, no vegetables in sight! I had hoped for some salads to balance out the carbs and protein only to find that this place does not serve vegetables of any kind! Since there’s no veggies on the menu, we decided to take our meal one step further and get the bacon wrapped cheese balls(aka calorie bombs). They were amazing! And of course you can’t leave out all the choices of crazy bloody mary’s they have, fully garnished with sliders, bacon, cheeseballs, and my favorite: fried chicken! yep! We had consumed 10,000 calories before the entrée even got here. The double sobelman was nothing short of amazing! It was everything I was hoping for, full of grilled greasy goodness. Served with a huge side of fries. Yum! The service was a bit lacking, bathrooms are clean, parking is easy in the restaurant parking lot.

Absoluter Insider Tipp in Milwaukee. Stylisches Restaurant, das für seine Bloody Mary Kreationen bekannt ist. Preis-Leistung ok. Das Ambiente ist total speziell. Immer wieder gerne.
