Print World

I thought there was a Kinko’s in the area where Print World is located, but I’m quite glad I stopped in here rather than driving around to wherever the Kinko’s is.
I needed to send & receive a fax from the DMV in Ohio. There was a friendly old gent at the counter who helped me take care of my faxing needs without the unnecessary wait or distracted «I wish I was anywhere but here» attitude that you can sometimes get at some Kinko’s stores. There’s a fish tank opposite the main counter that must’ve had a bazillion tiny fish babies swimming around in it; when I commented on it the friendly old guy offered me a couple to take home as pets (I had to politely decline– I don’t have anywhere suitable for them to live out their happy little fishie lives) and told me all about how he initially only had a few in there, but they just kept making babies. Print World must be funneling fish aphrodisiac into that tank, or something.
I really can’t say enough about how hilarious and friendly the folks behind the counter were. I initially stopped in to get the fax stuff done quickly; I ended up hanging out way longer than initially planned, having a lively conversation about wacky situations they’ve had due to their proximity to Marquette University, interesting tidbits of Milwaukee history from the old fella, and the best place to get a fish fry… unrelated to the little guys & gals swimming around in the tank. Their business card & flyer printing service is excellent and reasonably priced. (That reminds me, I need some more business cards.) Even if you’re not looking to carry on a colorful conversation with the staff, you can still get great professional service quickly. It’s a locally owned small business that deserves your patronage.
