One of my favorite spots in the city. All is done well. Menu selection and execution, service, prices, warmth of atmosphere, and an extensive and fairly priced bar. Love eating here.

Not really child friendly, super cool old bar but a high chair or a buster chair would have gotten ya a fourth star because the appetizers kicked ass.

I would not go here for a salad. I have not tried their other entrees, but I could make a better salad at Pick N Save from the salad bar. The tenderloin had the consistency and texture of a microwaved piece of meat.

This is our go to place for comfort food and sidewalk dining. It’s cozy inside in the winter and quiet outside in the summer when we bring our dog along. I know they have other food, but I can’t resist the Portabella Philly. I would argue that they have the best panini in town(sorry, Svens). And I’ll never forget the pumpkin peanut curry soup that I had the first time we ate there after driving back to town through a snowstorm. Just the right thing. The bartender can always make a good wine pairing and I think they feature more moderately priced varieties than they used to. I wish they were open for lunches, too.

A great neighborhood place. This has become the spot my husband and daughter eat out together when I’m not home. Kid friendly, nice service. Limited menu with appetizers and panini’ but the special is always good. The bruschetta appetizers are especially yummy.

Went for dinner tonight. Arrived and waited to have someone seat us but there was no hostess so we lingered around until the bartender told us to ask a waiter if she could seat us. Kinda weird but once we were seated, our waitress was prompt and nice throughout the evening. Funny thing– when you sit down the waitress will give you two menus. The one that’s three pages vs. one is the alcohol menu! They have a lots of options for alcohol; great beer selection– wide selection and all reasonably priced. Food options are limited to paninis, bruschetta and some other appetizer type dishes. I don’t remember the Italian names for the dishes but we got the meat and cheese plate, the mozz, tomato and bread melted bread dish, and a crab dish special to start. Would def recommend the meat and cheese plate– it’s served with olives, fontinella, provolone, bread and a variety of meats. It’s an easy plate to share as it’s very large. The bruschetta bread thing was just OK– good at the time but wouldn’t order it again, wasn’t much different from something I could make at home. The crab dip was also alright but not mixed well. Kept getting chunks of cream cheese that weren’t blended with crab. Wish we would have gotten the artichoke dish instead. For mains my bf got a panini(first one on the menu, don’t remember the name) that was very reminiscent of a philly cheese steak– very good! A friend got the roasted red pepper and feta soup special and he said it was underwhelming. I got the chicken caesar salad that had a great dressing but the chicken had little flavor, seemed like it was frozen before hand.

Nessun Dorma is the quintessential neighborhood place for me in Riverwest. None of the glitz, glamour, or grime. Just a corner place with some crazy good artichoke dip and paninis. In fact, the food here is not too expensive, and it impresses with each bite. Also, the beer list is outstanding, and changes somewhat often. There are a few little neighborhood corner restaurants in Milwaukee, and this one is one of the best. Come for a beer at happy hour, they’re pretty cheap! Stay for food. Ignore the giant city of Milwaukee-dug hole out front and relax in a warm place on a nice cold evening. Ps: summer sidewalk dining!!!

Having lived in Riverwest for 6 months now, I figured it was time I checked out Nessun Dorma, since everyone I talk to seems to rave about it. I stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening with my girlfriend. There is currently construction happening to the road in front on the building, resulting in a massive hole in the ground, and no internet for Nessun Dorma. This also means no credit card machines, so we had to run and get cash quick. Inconvenient, but worth it. We split some sun dried tomato and pesto bruschetta, then I had the Puccini and she had the special, which was pork loin with a delicious apple chutney. All of it was very good and we will certainly be back.

Visited here for dinner with a friend. Skipped the drinks, and both had Formaggio paninis. They were really tasty! For a vegetarian sandwich, I really enjoyed the flavors. I brought home a chicken caesar panini for the BF, and he really liked it. The ambiance is very comfortable, and I noticed that the drinks were really well priced. Will be returning!

We finally stopped in after 2+ years of talking about trying this place. I’m sure a bit more research would have helped, but I was surprised at how limited the menu was. There’s a number of sandwiches and appetizers and some good tap beers. We had 2 different sandwiches and the antipasto. Everything we ordered was fantastic, and you could tell it was made with care and good ingredients. This is a great casual place to get a solid meal for a good price. Nothing fancy but very good food!

I have not been to Nessun in awhile. We took pops to a local after seeing some art. The atmosphere great. The service was attentive. The wine excellent. The sides of the meal delicious: salad fresh with olives and brussel sprouts. The pork tenderloin awful. Super tough. We told the wait staff but all they did was bring out steak knives.LOL. We paid our bill and went home. My partner said never again.

I’ve been here countless times over the years, but thought it would be good to mention that Nessun Dorma has started a daily happy hour. My husband and I stopped in to check it out and from 4 — 6pm they have a selection of $ 2 taps, $ 3 rails, and $ 5 glasses of wine. It’s great that they are open earlier and have some drink deals! As always — the food is affordable, delicious, and well executed. It’s hard for me to pass up the homemade soups & my favorite sammie in Milwaukee, the Italian Deli. Make sure to stop by and check out the new Happy Hour and some yummy eats! Wallet and tummy friendly.

Now this is the Art of Coking Dips!(But in a really good way) Wow…I mean WoW!!! This Artichoke Dip was how do it put it? Cramazingly awesome! It alone will be having me come back for more! I don’t think I could take on a full portion for myself but it is great to split with that someone special. The scenery I totally digged right off the batt. The soirée of collector’s music posters they have lined around the backroom was pretty cool to investigate. The whole vibe of the place was totally chill and low key. For being there only once I think it is safe to say that you won’t be seeing any«Bros» here any time soon. The menu is small but I don’t think anything on there is going to be mediocre. This place is on my «soon to revisit» list!

Always great for a proper cocktail and a great glass of wine. Usually run into at least one neighbor while having drinks. I really love the laid back but classy atmosphere. But the menu could use an overhaul. I always get the salad because I can’t have bread or cheese. So Dorma is never my pick for dinner. Sometimes the specials or soup du jour hits the spot but really just update the menu!

I lived a block down from Nessun Dorma for years and ate here once or twice each year during that time. The paninis aredelicous — I always get the Chicken Caesar Salad as a panini, yum! The side salad served with is it also fresh and tasty. The Spinach Artichoke Dip is spicy and may be one of the best I’ve had! The Cream of Broccoli soup really was the best I’ve ever had. I just wish they would compel me to come back with more variety, seasonal changes, or just an update with some new options.

Best. Date Spot. Ever. And here’s why: Atmosphere: Cozy, quaint, a lil dark and vintage– but not super trendy hipster-vintage(you know what I mean). This place is my Riverwest neighborhood fav. Service: Comfortable, friendly, always conversational, and the food comes out so darn quick! Paninis: Amazing. Like, will leave you thinking about them for days amazing. They are all served with a nice size mix green salad with balsamic. You won’t even miss fries, the salad is so good. And what’s better? The sammys all run you for under $ 11…so if you end up going Dutch or even treating your date, you won’t break the bank. *Try an off menu item, the Delmaggio. It mixes two of their sandwiches(Italian Deli and the Formaggio), and is pure meaty, melty-cheesey, flavorful heaven on earth. Just had one on Saturday, and my mouth is watering writing this review right now. Mmmmm. Beer me: The list of libations is off the chains. There is something for everyone. So many unique cider options, yay! You can spend hours perusing the list and trying unfamiliar beers. Consistently amazing. This lil neighborhood corner restaurant is the tops!

My friends, who are idiots, along with my girlfriend with whom I previously had a bad experience here, dragged me here again. The place was not even half full at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Guess what, the service still blows ass and is halfway nonexistant, so that was not much of an isolated incident. Our server brought out beers and then disappeared before finally coming back after like 20 minutes to take food orders. We were all sitting around like«errmmm… did they forget about us or something?» I still don’t know what is up with all these positive reviews. The menu is nothing but a few paninis and like six appetizers. Wow, paninis. You guys are easily impressed. They weren’t even that great. I think the paninis at Groppi Market are way better, and at least there you don’t get ignored for like a half hour. This place is so overrated I can hardly believe it.

Why 4 stars? Because they had beer AND tea! — — — My friend and I visited Milwaukee. I like to drink beer. She hates it. She likes to drink tea. I hate it. What do you do in this situation, because places that serve GOOD beer and GOOD tea don’t happen… right? Incorrect. They do. Nessun Dorma, y’all. I wish I could speak to the food, but I was still pregnant from dinner and could barely put the beers down. Enjoyable, my experience was.
