This place is a little grim, but it’s close to my house and I can get what I need. The people behind the plexi-​glass have always been nice to me. Bring your cash money.

This place is fine as far as slightly scary liquor stores in Milwaukee go. The handwritten «No Hoods Allowed» is enforced, by one of two standin’-around guys, even in a heavy downpour or frigid winds, as you enter the shop.
You can get your cheap chips, your 40s of various malt liquors, your daily newspaper. A small bottle of Hennessey is reasonable somehow at $ 6.99 when you are really in the mood. It’s weird waiting in a car outside for your friend to run in and get a 6-​pack. If it takes longer than 10 minutes, you might wanna cruise around the corner. You see some LIFE up on this block.

They have a decent selection of crappy beer and a few okay beers, mostly at reasonably okay prices. The customer service is alright too. The main problem I have with this place is that they charge $ 2.25 for you to use a credit or debit card, and your only choice is to use it as debit. That really rubs me the wrong way. If you’re going there for anything, make sure you bring cash.
