Koss has some of the best headphones made. Bar none. I’ve used Pro3AAs for the past few years. These sound great for about $ 70, and sound better than many headphones costing quite a bit more. My Dad has used them as in studio headphones in radio since the 70s. Their lifetime warranty and customer service are awesome. My Pro3AAs broke at the hinge, and they replaced them, no problem.

These are the guys who invented stereophones; they have always made the best products in their field, and their Lifetime, No Questions Asked guarantee is the best guarantee you’re going to find, anywhere; there are precious few companies who take care of you the way the Koss Corporation does. I have used their earphones from the beginning… late ‘50s. I also invest in their stock, which for some reason hasn’t been doing very well, lately, but that’s OK; I believe in supporting the businesses that take good care of me. It’s the least I can do for a company that really, really stands behind their products. In the world of earphones, I’ve never been able to understand why anybody would buy any other brand. Yes, they are that good. And yes, they are that well guaranteed. They are a great American company.

Koss has great product and moreover a great little store and warranty center. The store isn’t as big as it used to be, but they have very good prices. Their headphones have a generous lifetime warranty, which is especially convenient if you’re here in town. You can call in your warranty claim to(414) 964‑5000 a business day ahead of when you want to pick up, usually you can come the next business day after 1pm to trade out your broken headphones for a new or refurbished replacement, otherwise if you don’t call ahead you have to drop them off one day and come back the next. The only times I’ve had to buy new headphones was for upgrading to their KTCs which have a built in mic and because I lost my pair.

I love my Koss Portapros. It takes some cajones for a company to sell the exact same headphones for 25 years, but Koss realized that they had perfection and they haven’t messed with it. the look good, the fold up nice and small, and most importantly, they sound great. But I have plenty of electronics that I am perfectly happy with, so why is it that I find it necessary to review Koss? Their No Questions Asked Guarantee. I feel like everything I buy today is junk. Meant to be thrown out after a year of use and upgraded. My home is filled with obsolete or nonfunctional phones, cameras and mp3 players. From now on anyway, it is no longer going to be filled with obsolete headphones. My $ 30 lasted for a year of heavy use, probably about right for a pair of headphones, before a wire snagged and was pulled from the earphone. Rather than throwing them away, I am sending them to Koss for free repair. Who does that anymore? Koss does, that is why they have a new customer for life now.
