Really great menu, delicious food. Love! Cute atmosphere, patio, garage door windows in summer. Friendly service. Cold beer. Great place! I recommend the wings — spicy garlic. Try the Moscow mule drink.

Best cheese curds of all time. Plentiful beers. Shuttle to brewers game. The burger I had was also very good but I could hardly focus on it cuz of how incredible the curds were. All around awesome. Keep it up, we’ll definitely be back.

Rudest place I have ever been to — a bartender and 3 servers just stared at us when we entered and walked around because there was no host or hostess at the stand. We waited and waited — but the old ratty vinyl chairs, empty tables and run down atmosphere too unappealing to warrant staying for lunch with such unfriendly people. No thanks!

The atmosphere is a casual bustle of fun. It is like hanging in an wood floored enclosed garage full of tasty food. All the glass walls open up for an open air experience

Cheese curds were good, nachos were okay, mozzarella sticks were okay. The walnut fruit salad was a nice option on the lighter side — a sweet vinaigrette with candied walnuts and feta cheese. The atmosphere after the Marquette game was pretty lively, and the waitress was attentive enough for our group. They didn’t have their extra entrée options due to the busy nature of the night, and the poppers were already sold out. But overall it’s got nice pub food in a developing part of town just west of the Bradley Center and east of MU’s campus.

I’ve been staying in Milwaukee for almost 2 months and I’ve eaten here every week. The food is cooked with love and seasoned to perfection. The soup of the day options are always good and the chicken sandwiches are to die for.

I like you, Jackson’s. I’d give you a Blue Ribbon(har har) if I had one. Here’s why I like you — you’re like that guy that doesn’t care if you like him or not. And because he’s so nonchalant, you’re like heeeeeey, whatchu doin’? And then steal his sweatshirt. You have beers. Quite a few, actually. There’s a few sour beers, and craft beers, maybe a porter, and some IPA’s, and blah blah. But mostly, you have BEER. Good start, friend. You have cheese curds, and they’re remarkably good. I had other food, but I remember none of it in the shadow of the deep fried cheese. There’s a patio. There’s a very limited amount of parking(but it counts!) in the lot. There’s TVs. There’s friendly staff. All good things. **I really want to take this analogy to the next level, but I fear you’d learn far to much about me. Just go to Jackson’s, kay?

We were here in the back room for a party. It was fun. They had beer, and that’s an important starting point for a bar or club of any type. There was a table with food, some of which may have been made by the people at the party, or it may have all been provided by the Blue Ribbon?!? I dunno. It was very catered party-ish, woo hoo… I remember none of it. This was the 1st(and possibly last) place I’ve tried bowling, since my back surgery. Bad results. So, if I’ve left my bowling juju there, I hope no one steps in it.

Heading through Milwaukee and tried this neighborhood bar n grill out. We believe the rating would have been worthy of a 4 for a bar n grill atmosphere. Had great looking sandwiches and appetizers. Good beer selection. We had the battered green beans with jalapeño ranch«excellent«and the Yamis Burger which was quite good. Definitely would frequent this place if lived in area.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was plenty of parking and seating, despite football being on all afternoon. They had great beer specials: $ 2 Miller and PBR drafts. I ordered the cheese curds as an app, these were very good. I ordered the wings for lunch, half«hot» and half«garlic Parmesan». I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t order all drums(I was willing to pay extra,) and when I received my order It contained only four drums and 6 wings :(that aside, he wings were cooked to perfection! The meat was tender and juicy and the outside was hot and crispy! The hot sauce was decently spicy too(I don’t think I’d be brave enough to try the tough guy flavor)! I would definitely come back here for a cold beer and hot wings next time I’m in town!

After my last two experiences here I really doubt I would ever go back. Decided to split a few orders of appetizers with a friend. We ordered stuffed mushrooms and chicken tenders. The mushrooms were overstuffed with cheese to the point that they weren’t enjoyable. The chicken tenders were so over fried the server even commented on how dark they were. But still she served them. They were so over cooked it was like eating chicken jerky. Yesterday, I gave them one last try. We ordered the fried cheese curds. Most of the curds had exploded through the coating and they were a mess to eat. They were more like cheese baseballs than curds. I ordered my burger medium and my friend ordered hers medium well. Both burgers were well done. Our server disappeared most of the meal so complaining wouldn’t have mattered. I guess if you go here to just drink you will be ok.

Descriptive phrase: fun hangout sports pub. Jackson’s Blue Ribbon Pub is nice place to meet a friend for a beer and watch a game. The beer prices are as reasonable as they should be, and the food is just as greasy and fried as it should be. We had a back-room space for a private party and they were on-point with our requests.

After my visit to Jacksons last night, I am downgrading my review to two stars. I go to Jacksons often, since it’s in my neighborhood and I like to support the local businesses. Every time I come here the food and service is very hit or miss. Last night was a big«miss.» My friend and I went on a Friday night, and it was busy(the patio was hopping). We chose to eat inside, so we could talk and hear each other. Apparently we also chose to sit in an area just to be ignored. I have never had such poor service here. The girl was obviously new and had no idea what beers were on tap. Adding to that, after ordering a beer, an older, experienced waitress pulled her aside(right by our table, within earshot) and reminded her the beer I just ordered hasn’t been available for a while. No biggie, it’s not a huge deal to me, but when there is that big of a price difference, she should have at least mentioned it. Then… The food. First of all, we placed our orders and it took FOREVER. There were other people who came in after us — much later, in fact — who received their food before we did. I feel the new waitress forgot to put our order in. Nothing was said to us, no apology, nothing. This is absolutely unacceptable. I ordered the turkey bacon wrap and was immediately overpowered with rosemary. I joked to my friend they must have put a whole sprig in my wrap, and lo and behold — I bit into a rosemary sprig. WTF, Jacksons? It was so overwhelming I couldn’t finish it. Unfortunately we were never given the chance to tell the waitress — she dropped off the bill and scurried away before I could tell her how much our food sucked! I have never had such bad food or service here before. My friend and I left extremely disappointed. I don’t know if I will be back. Just judging on the actions of the owners alone, I may not. I see the big blue Dodge Ram(with«Jacksons» emblazoned on the tailgate) FLYING down our street in a daily basis at some pretty high speeds. Just a reminder: it’s summer and there are a lot of kids playing outside. One of the reviews mentioned the owners refusal to work with the neighborhood people and we are starting to see that now. It’s unfortunate, and I will not go out of my way to come here anymore unless it’s for the convenience factor. I gave them plenty of chances to redeem themselves. Unfortunately they have not.

I stopped in on a beautiful Saturday at lunchtime. I immediately related to the PBR décor… As it was always around my parents when they were having good times. I got a great table on the large garage door size window next to the front patio on Bluemound Rd. The place was way crowded with young and not-so young good looking people. I expected the service to be a little slower because of the crowd and I was right, however, I had an amazing time. I was hungover and just paid a $ 1,700 bill so I was not in a great mood. I ordered a Mimosa which they didn’t have(not many sports bars do) I settled for a Tequila Sunrise. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was. I was also beyond excited when I got the food menu. It was full of choices that I could relate to. The server arrived at my table literally 5 minutes after I got the menu from the bar. I asked her for her advice and she was really excited about the food. I went with a Ruben Sandwich which is my normal go-to. She suggested the hand-cut fries I went with the Onion Straws. Cottage Cheese was also an option. Food was at my table at a really good turn-around time. The Ruben was a little better than average(discovered some fresh herbs) and the Onion Straws were much better than average. I wish every Saturday lunch was at Jackson’s PBR.

I just came from jacksons and I’m super disappointed. Not like 1 star disappointed but like 2 to 2.5 stars disappointed. We had a hankering for wings and came here. I asked if I could get two flavors for the 10 wings, the waitress was not sure but thought it was fine. So I and a friend ordered two flavors. She ordered hers extra crispy, I did not. When the food came out, both my husband’s and my wings were extra charred and hers were barely cooked. Seriously? Not to mention that they would only sauce one flavor per order, totally fine with me but no one gave me the courtesy of telling me until my wings came out. I ordered two flavors, how would you know what flavor I wanted out of the two? Or maybe I’d get crazy and order a different one? Let’s get back to the char. Usually I like a bit of crispy. I’ll even accept char, but mine tasted like carcinogens with a side of chicken. Yum. This place is usually good for wings, but they need to get some consistency in their food and train their staff.

We do Jackson’s for the work lunch and I’m starting to notice problems. First off we go to the on line menu to pick our items and collect the money from everyone and like clock work when we pick up the order the money is always short because we were charged more. We have items missing when we get back to work and disappoint people. Jacksons can no longer be in the work lunch rotation because they drive us nuts. I ordered the beef nachos and they came with no sour crème or salsa which was strange because everywhere else does, even Taco Bell. Well I opened the box to see my lunch and it looked strange, see the pictures. First off I didn’t see the beef and I saw what looked pulled pork, pulled pork is not an option and you can only can choose from beef or chicken. I’m not a big fan of pulled pork and to find big chunks of it in the nachos is turning me off. I never would have ordered them if I knew it was pulled pork. I decided to eat them anyway. I liked the toppings jalapeños, green onion, tomato, lettuce and black olives. The chips were red and yellow and tasted good. I noticed most of the chips had no cheese on them after a few bites and some tasted burnt, see the pictures. Look close and you will see the cheese was little splats here and there and parts were burnt. WTF did they do here to these nachos. This was the most uncheesey nachos I have had. Bottom line here is that these nachos were the worst and I would gladly have had movie theater nachos over these. How you f*%k up nachos this bad is beyond me. Don’t the restaurants know that smart phones have cameras and and we can share there food with the whole world in a minute.

Much like their downtown location, Jackson’s is great for what it is — solid sports bar eats. It’s a great place to watch the game, have some cold beers and eat some greasy stuff with your friends in a casual atmosphere. You can expect: *Good happy hour prices *Arguably the best cheese curds in town. They’re gooey, greasy balls of deep fried heart attack goodness. *Friendly service *Reasonable prices and very large portions(my sandwich was HUGE!) *Fewer chatches than Mo’s(aka the Irish themed Applebee’s) Don’t look for: *Much in the way of craft beer — New Glarus is about as fancy as it gets. It’s Jackson’s BLUERIBBON pub after all. *Many healthy options. There are a few salads, I guess Sometimes you just want a good burger or a solid sandwich. You want a place where pretty much everything is automatically served with ranch dressing. When that time comes, Jackson’s will satisfy.

I’ve heard people talk of this place, and i’ve had the wings at the Wingfest event’s in Milwaukee over the last couple of years but i finally made my way to the restaurant, well one of them. While entering this location it is a bit oddly laid out, must have been a house at one point in time as it’s really disconnected and awkward. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table as it was 6:30pm on a Friday night,(My Mistake). Once seated i saw the cheese curds on the menu and thought those should most likely be consumed by me tonight. So i ordered those for an appetizer. For the main course i got the BYOB(Build your own burger) With bacon, Fried egg and Pepper Jack Cheese. My fiancé ordered a chicken wrap of some sort. Both the Burger and wrap came with fries. Few moments later our cheese curds came out, and they are easily the best cheese curds i’ve had in the Milwaukee area. And quite high on my list of best cheese curds i’ve ever had. Some time after our food showed up and my burger looked GREAT. I had a couple fries first and they were good, they reminded me alot of the fries at Lucky Sandwich Shop in Chicago. I took a bite of the burger and it hit me as soon as i took the first bite, this burger reminded me a lot of the burgers at The Nook in Minneapolis. The cheese curds are very close to how the Nook does them too. Overall i was very satisfied as it felt like a place i’ve been cause the food was familiar, I’m sure i will be back as it’s much easier than driving 6 hours to Minneapolis for a cheeseburger. or Chicago for fries.

After my fantastic time last night I felt the need to update my review. WOW! I went in for the wings after a coworker told me how much she enjoyed them. Showed up about a quarter after 6:00 on Wednesday(which is .50 cent wings, so naturally it’s more busy), and we were able to snag a table on the patio. Our server was pretty busy as she looked to be buzzing between many of the outdoor tables. There were 5 of us and we all ordered different beers. She was on the ball remembering who got what and was prompt with the refills. We started with an order of the cheese curds and they were inhaled. I will reiterate that these are without a doubt the BEST cheese curds I’ve found in Wisconsin — including the state fair. Freshly battered to order — come out piping hot and gooey. We ended up ordering another batch. Between all 5 of us there was an entire table of differently sauced wings. Somehow everyone got what they ordered, and the wait was about 15 – 20 minutes. Man oh man… I tell you these were some of the best wings I’ve had. They were on the smaller side, but perfectly sauced(they did that fry, sauce, grill method so they weren’t too slimey). The char on the outside was awesome and the sauces were super flavorful. Runners were grabbing our emptys frequently so the table wasn’t bogged down, and when we were finished our server graciously split the bill evenly. She was a great upseller without being pushy. Overall our service was great, the food was great and I can’t wait to come back next Wednesday!

This place was amazing. We went to lunch here on «date day» and were really impressed by how simple, yet delicious, their food was. When we walked in, three tables in the back room and two in the bar area were filled. There were a couple people at the bar playing bar dice. It seemed like they were regulars, so that’s great, because we will eat there again as well. It’s a bar and it has bar food, but their cheese curds are amazing! They take different flavored cheese curds, batter them up, and fry them in just a few minutes. They serve them with sauce on the side. There were so many cheese curds in the basket that they would serve 3 – 4 people. My boyfriend ordered a burger, which was MASSIVE. He had onion rings, which were really tasty. The burger was also perfectly done — he was very pleased about this because sometimes when we try new places they don’t get the doneness quite right. I ordered a portabello sandwich with a boat load of fries. I only ate half the bread because it was a big bun, but it also came with a shmear of pesto. YUM. All together, the food was a great bargain. The portion sizes are huge(I saw the plate of nachos that would have fed 6 people) and the food was really reasonably priced. Our server was also very friendly and she was quick. On our way out the server and the bartender said«Thanks!» which is a nice gesture. The bartender didn’t serve us and didn’t «benefit» from us eating there, but still waved goodbye.
