This spot is overpriced and they absolutely under deliver. I’m not a fan of knocking family restaurants but the quality in the kitchen is just not there.

Terrible food. I’m usually very fair. Trying hard to remain fair here… Ordered biscuits and gravy. Hands down the worst biscuits and gravy I have ever had. No presence of sausage for starters. Ok, some don’t include sausage, I get that. But the gravy was flavorless, and odd… the biscuits would have been better out of a can like Pillsbury. Breakfast came with potatoes and eggs. Ugh… I had cheese and onion added to the potatoes. That with the salt and pepper I added made them pretty tasty. My eggs, scrambled, we’re also good until the end, then a couple running parts I would not finish. Was a 2 star review but changing to 3 stars because my wife liked the Stuffed French Toast and the waitress was excellent about me letting her know the biscuits and gravy were terrible. She removed them from the bill and offered me anything else. Will try a Cinnamon Roll…

Came here for brunch before a 4th of July parade ’cause everywhere else we Unilocaled that I wanted to try for the first time was closed. Cheese, rice and crackers!!! Not used it coming from Vegas where everything stays open 24/7, unless you work in an office, but I honestly love how most businesses in this city is about giving people time off for the holidays. So I’m really sorry we even came into this establishment instead of heading back to the boyfriend’s friends’ place to cook instead. Anyway… Our waitress was nice and quick to serve. She constantly checked on us, refilling our drinks when we were running low, seeing if we needed anything else. The food came quickly too, and I wasn’t even amazed at how big the portion of the plate was. I will admit that the food had no distinct profile to make it memorable or make me want to go back there for it. I guess I’d just have to classify it as a place to go to last minute. Quick and nice service was all I really enjoyed from my experience here.

Meh. Meh. It’s is subpar diner food for when you’re drunk. I guess the reason I’m rating so low is because the service isn’t good, not the worst, but not good. The kitchen looked disgusting and the smell, it smelled like dirty socks when I passed the massive amounts of dishes in bus bins. I don’t know what else there is to say. Underwhelmed even for a diner.

This place can’t compete with the other Greek restaurants. The Omega is so much better. The waitress was awful and nothing here is worthy of a compliment. For one. It’s the dirtiest place ever. I’m sure that something on the menu is good but we didn’t find it. Not coming back. Headed back to Omega.

Huge menu variety! Every time I visit, I can always find something different to fit my cravings or something new I haven’t tried.

First time ever being here, probably won’t be coming back. They did manage to mess up my order with another table. The food was bland, no flavor to anything. The place did smell clean when I walked in and the tables were clean as well. Over all, I wouldn’t return return due to the bland food.

Decent, cheap food. Did it taste like it came from a box/can, as others have said? Sure. But it was dirt cheap(for being restaurant food), so I have no complaints. My server was GREAT. Clean restaurant. Big portions. My meal came with soup AND dessert. Never heard of that before. I had the seafood alfredo, and while I was a tad irked that the description said«crab» and I instead got«krab»(i.e. FAKE crab), it was decent. Pretty good for late-night fare; had it been normal hours, I admit I would have gone elsewhere.

Look, I’m never going to step foot into a Greek Family restaurant and expect a gourmet meal. Much like fast food, I grade Greek restaurants on a slight curve. Unfortunately this joint didn’t make the grade. In fact, it killed good childhood memories of Sonic the Hedgehog since now I equate the word Genesis to bland food. More on that later. We came here on a whim, and when I say on a whim, I mean it. My wife was told that even though she was short six credits, her college was graduating her I guess for time served. She found out on Tuesday that she would be graduating Friday and between Finals for both of us, her work, our two year-old and the upcoming Holiday, we had little time to plan a proper after graduation dinner. Our planning literally consisted of me rattling off about twenty five restaurants and my wife saying«NO!» I was all out of ideas and I had no time to research on Unilocal so when the Father-In-Law mentioned this place, I jumped. Speaking of my wife, this place is lucky that she doesn’t write reviews because in her words, it was«the worst fish fry I’ve ever had». She also described certain atrocities in the women’s bathroom that shall not be detailed in this review. I thought girl’s bathrooms were supposed to be all super clean with couches? One thing I’ll give them is that they seated a group of thirteen that just walked in. Everything else was downhill from there. Waitresses were quick to take our order, somewhat patient as our group slowly filed in and nice enough to split our bill when everyone was done fighting over the right to pay for dinner that night. I ordered the Ragin’ Cajun Chicken Sandwich with fries and a cup of coffee. Not complicated. As soon as I ordered the sandwich, I was offered a cup of soup. I certainly wasn’t expecting this as this is not a common practice at the diners and restaurants I frequent, but I love some good soup on a cold day. This was a pleasant surprise. I asked for a bowl of Clam Chowder. The waitress came back with a lukewarm bowl of what I can best describe as bland turkey gravy with a few little thinly sliced pieces of clam intermixed. This might be the worst soup I ever had. What was this, a depression era recipe? I’m pretty sure soup kitchens are currently serving better soup to the poor. After a few minutes of washing down that glue they called soup with a cup of coffee, they brought me the sandwich and fries. The fries were cold. My inner child told me they were Ore-Ida. The sandwich was described in the menu as pretty much the hottest things on the menu. The chicken breast was supposed to have cajun spices, I really didn’t taste them but the chicken breast itself tasted okay. The«Pepper Jack» cheese tasted a lot like American cheese. Mmmm, more blandness. It was topped with some barely hot pickled Jalapenos and the whole thing was held together by a squished bland bun. If I had to measure this sandwich on a heat scale with 1 being not hot at all and 10 being the hottest, this would be a negative 3. The waitresses must have knew that this sammie wasn’t that hot, because after one refill post-bland soup, I stared at the bottom of my bottomless cup of coffee with no one coming by until it was time to pay the bill and still with no refill. I even heard that this place has dessert, and knowing me even a terrible dinner couldn’t keep me from dessert. Yet out of two waitresses working our group of 13 on a slow night, not one of them asked if I wanted dessert before punching up my bill. And my invisibility didn’t end there. I’m really a patient person, really. I waited in line while the cashier talked to her friends, cashed out a customer, pushed a few keys, and then talked some more. I make my way to the front of the line(finally) and restrained myself from ruining my wife’s night anymore than it had been. I gave a smile and a kind hello. She punches up the bill and tells me the total(it was pretty cheap at least). I hand her my credit card, only to have her swipe it, hold it up in between her knuckles with the numbers side out only to talk for another two minutes with my credit card in plain sight only moving her hand every twenty seconds to gesticulate as my gaze followed her hand like my cat follows the red dot of a laser pointer. Now I’m waking up every night in a cold sweat and checking my credit statement to make sure no one took a pic of my numbers. No good, man. No good.

Been here a few times, I recently came here late on a saturday night while having a waffle/pancake craving. It’s a little bit of a drive from Menomonee Falls, where i was but the food is pretty good, and usually comes out fast. The restaurant is clean, friendly staff, priced fairly.

Hung out here while they patched my tire next door. And it was pretty decent place to kill some time. The waitress was genuinly nice and very attentive. I ordered the stuffed french toast with strawberry toppings and bavarian cream and a side of bacon. It was really good for $ 8. However it was a lot of sugar which I’m not normally used to and now I have stomach ache. Not the restaurants fault obviously but my own for choosing it. Also appears to be pretty clean in the seating area. I was happy with my experience, it is what it is and I would come here again in the future.

There is no bakery here and nothing is cooked fresh or from scratch. All the food is boxed or canned. Service wasn’t so great and we saw a woman waitress run outside to tell a guest they owed $ 1.00! Very unprofessional. Nothing to brag about, they have a salad bar which is probably their only asset. Typical Greek owned family restaurant.

The least impressive of the Greek traditional restaurants. THEMOST boring foods in uninspired combinations. Is everything from a can? Not surprising, the staff seems bored of the boring food as well. IF the cashier had asked how everything was, I would have said, «Uninspired». I can cook eggs and dump them on hash browns at home. I should have. We have good jam at home.

I wanted breakfast so I went here. I ordered the gyros and eggs. I asked for sunny side up eggs for that liquid yoke to run all over the hash browns and got a hard yoke. WTF is so hard for a breakfast place to make a correct egg. Runny yoke is the heart of breakfast in my opinion. The gyro was ok. The hash browns were slightly crispy. Over all ok and not terrible except for the over cooked eggs. Probably won’t go back much if they can’t cook eggs. I have to say that the capital café is still my place for breakfast even if I have to drive a ways out of my neighborhood to get there and the eggs are always runny.

Standard greek family restaurant. Nothing too special here other than I can’t remember seeing them closed. Soups are good.

Here are the rules: 1) Only come for breakfast(great price, quick service, diner-style). 2) If you come for lunch, get breakfast. 3) If you come for dinner, get breakfast. 4) Bring someone above the age of 60 — you’ll fit right in. You’ll be upset if you don’t do what I told you. This isn’t a dinner-place… I promise you can do better at home… but the breakfast is great.

As far as family restaurants go, I like this one the best. We come to Genesis about 3 – 4 a month and the food is always really good. Friendly servers, Alena is the best. They do a hoppin’ business on Friday nights for the fish fry and it’s great to see the manager out and about help out when needed. Accommodates large groups too. I have a few favorites and many of their soups are really good too. Love their Ranch dressing, they make it from scratch vs. the bottled kind — YUM! Don’t change that! Big menu, specials each night, kids night, appetizer specials, great breakfast, lunch or dinners — why would you not stop in? Definitely do.
