So, before I begin, I have to say that we didn’t get a chance to experience the quality of flowers from Just Because, and wouldn’t because of the horrible service we received when we called them on the phone. We purchased flowers online for our wedding and they arrived early the week of our wedding. In an attempt to keep our flowers looking as fresh as possible, we called Just Because to attempt to find some cut flower food for purchase. We called Just Because due to the fact that they were the closest florist to us. My fiancé asked if there was any way we could purchase the flower food, and the person who picked up the phone stated they«were in the business of selling flowers, not flower food» and asked why we didn’t have any. When my fiancé replied that we ordered our flowers online, the person responded that the flowers we ordered — which look fantastic IMO — were«junk» and that we got«ripped off», at which point my fiancé simply said goodbye and hung up the phone. He then called the local Pick N Save who just *gave* us ~15 packets at no charge! Curious, we then called Just Because approximately half an hour later just to find out how much we got«ripped off». When we asked for a per stem quote on our flowers(mini callas), the person on the phone(the same person who talked to my fiancé) stated it would be between *$ 15-$ 18* PERSTEM for these flowers, and when we stated we had a quote for $ 2.50/stem, he tried to tell us these were«junk flowers» until we stated the quote was from a local florist, at which point he changed his tune and told us to take the offer. Even when comparing their cost to other local florists, they are at BEST300% more expensive than other florists, and 700% more expensive than where we bought ours. And while their flowers could potentially look better than the ones we bought, I’m sure that the difference in quality is not equal to the massive difference in price. So, while we can’t speak to the quality of the flowers or their arrangements, I can not in any way suggest anybody get their flowers from Just Because unless they like receiving poor customer service and paying phenomenally more than necessary.

This is a great, family-owned business that I have used for YEARS. This florist is actually in my old neighborhood — I don’t live in Milwaukee anymore, so I phone it in from Chicago. Their flowers — my family reports, and I know this to be true — are always fresh, fine and on time. And who doesn’t want to be that? Mother’s Day is coming up, and I’ll be calling them like I do for every occasion that goes better with flowers.
