Dretzka Park

Disc Golf course review. The is a great course that is well maintained. Consists of two courses, an18 and 9 hole, that can be can be played together seamlessly. The extra 9 holes are accessible just after the 14^th basket, although you start seeing the additional tees/​baskets starting back on the 11^th hole.

Dretzka is a giant park way out in the far Northwest corner of the county. So far out that the rough neighborhood quickly gives way to farms and highways.
There is a lot to offer at this remote park site. The parkways are wide open and underused, so you often have a swath of turf all to yourself. The courses are well-​maintained and the staff is onsite to keep the place pristine.
What brought me out here was the disc golf. The original 18 holes are locally legendary for frisbee golf lovers. With not much else going on here, the place is dominated by the fans of the sport. Coolers are ubiquitous, so go ahead and bring yours but remember to stick to cans — no glass bottles on the course!
They added an extra nine holes to the disc golf awhile ago, so I was pleased to be able to detour midway through the game and sneak in some extra throws! If you want to get a break from it all and escape the city, Dretzka is a short trip for a lot of space all to yourself.
