This morning we called D&M due to a problem with our furnace. They VERY promptly sent two young men to the house. They were perfect gentlemen; didn’t make any mess –whatsoever; serviced the furnace and explained everything that was going on with the furnace. They even gave me a short tutorial on how the thing works so I could better understand what was going on. My furnace is an older one and I bought a service contract, which actually saved me money, starting today — on the spot! I am very pleased with the entire experience and we are moving forward with a secure feeling that we are in good hands. I’m actually relieved.

The guy came 2 times and all he did was clean the dust on the AC unit, spent 5 hours and the company gave us a bill for $ 1100 all together with no parts involved. We then called another local company who came in and found out exactly what the problem was and fixed it, we were so glad to hand over the $ 300 check to them. How is this company still in business with this kind of ethics and now they want to collect every last dollar from us after looking at the other companies work and bill on the same dates, we have already paid 80% of what they wrote up. How does a consumer get justice with these kind of companies around?

This was a few years ago but needs to be said. So my first problem was when I called them to give them my address — I live on the south side of Milwaukee, south of downtown just on the north side of bay view. they said that they didn’t service my area — WHAT? You see that big RED marker on the map here on Unilocal that lists their location — that’s pretty much ON my house! So, once I finally convinced them to come and clean my furnace and perhaps inspect a noise — they did half of that. The technician pulled out his paintbrush and vacuum and proceeded to clean my furance. Once it kicked on and I asked what that noise was — he said it could be the motor. I asked if he was going to clean the motor — he said no. He didn’t even look at it. Two days later had a friend of a friend come over and if the tech would have just opened up the area — he could have just mentioned the the motor needed fixing. D & M could have gone from just a cleaning(which I now do myself) to hiring someone to fix it! Too bad for them my business went to someone else to fix the motor. I then tried to place this review on another website — and they said it didn’t happen and the review never got posted. It could have been a rare incident — but definitely would not recommend based on my experience.

We just recently had D&M put in a second furnace, two new air conditioners, and zone our home for better heating/cooling control. We are AMAZED at what a difference zoning makes. Our new air conditioner is hard at work this summer with many 95+ days and we are seeing improvements in overall comfort and cost to operate. The installers were amazing, very friendly, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. We are doing a huge project, and the guys even helped carry some of our stuff out for us! If you are looking for an EXCELLENT company with a great reputation, look no further. These guys are the absolute best in the greater Milwaukee area.
