Cousins Subs

Problems here are systemic.
All right, it’s been a few months and it’s time to put a cap on this review. I’ve always had bad service here. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve worked in service and understand the frustrations of being in that situation. That said…
I’ve consistently had bad attitudes from the workers here. Often, the fella working the register will sift through a dozen or so receipts before even acknowledging me – welcoming me as warm as you would a moth that flew through the window… it’s not causing actual problems, just temporary irritation.
Since I live near this location, it’s a natural choice for an easy, affordable and tasty dinner. But every time I visit, I feel like I’m causing trouble for the workers, who’ve got something better to do than to make a sandwich. I shouldn’t feel bad for ordering a Chicken Cheddar Deluxe. This kind of service is a reflection on management, and the people they hire.
A few months ago I came in, made eye contact with the employees, then literally stood at the register for nearly 4 minutes, with absolutely zero acknowledgement. Fed up, I left and sent a complaint email, which received a prompt response from the manager telling me that I would be compensated two free sandwiches. I didn’t respond because the problem with this location was bigger than just a couple of sandwiches.
Foolishly, I decided to give it one more shot last night. I figured turn over must be pretty high, so what are the odds that things could go wrong? I ordered for myself and my girlfriend, and they got the sandwich orders wrong. After a considerable waiting period to order. With 3 people making sandwiches.

I’m a fan of Cousins, I’ve said that many times. This location, however, is REALLY hit and miss… with a lot of things. Service, bread, freshness of ingredients… it’s a different adventure every single time I go there. I’ve had some decent experiences here, one great experiences, but several that make me question if anyone is actually in charge here.

Cousin’s has always been my favorite option for subs, and this Cousin’s is my favorite location. I stop in at least once a week, and it’s conveniently located on a Green Line stop, so it’s a great place to grab a quick bite to eat while you’re waiting for the bus.
My favorites are the Chicken Cheddar Deluxe and the Club. I also really like their tuna, as tuna subs are comfort food for me and Cousin’s does it best.
They treat me like a regular at this location, and I always have good service here.

I like this location of Cousins Subs. Not many people frequent here which I like. The staff is friendly and fast and often very helpful. It’s my go to stop for Cousins as a East Sider.
As for the food, I have loved Cousins since I was little and don’t imagine that changing any time soon.
