Bridal Sweet

I called for an appointment and talked to an older woman who was very rude. When I tried to make an appointment for Bridesmaids dresses (I would be purchasing 4) she said they were only making appointments for people who were «really serious about ordering» because they had events to attend — though I was ready to buy, I decided to skip it based on her attitude.
A few days later, I saw the dress I wanted displayed at their Wonderful World of Weddings expo booth. (I didnt realize it was the same place until I spoke to the rude sales lady and remembered her less than charming phone persona) When I asked about it, saying that I had girls out of state (did not mention that I had already spoken to someone) she said they should all order their dresses near them. I explained that we wanted one order so they all came in at the same time, she said that didn’t make any sense. RUDE. As I tried to walk away, she insisted that I just order from their shop then if I wanted them together and THEN bad mouthed some of the other dress shops.
When I relayed this experience to one of my local bridesmaids, she said «Oh, yeah, I went there for another wedding. That sounds about right.» so I don’t these were isolated incidents. Terribly rude, bossy and unprofessional. I’ll get my dresses elsewhere. No idea how they are still in business with that kind of «service».

I have been here twice, once with a friend who was trying on wedding dresses, and again to have alterations done on my own wedding dress (actually a bridesmaid’s dress in white, so not too complex).
The first time I can’t remember much of, and it wasn’t «my» appointment. The second time, I was seen on time, and they were attentive. They proposed a much simpler alteration than I had expected, which was inexpensive. I’m going back today for pick-​up to make sure the alterations worked and everything is as it should be.
Their location is very convenient, but I feel like they have moved the entrance around, or have separate entrances for separate stuff. It’s a little confusing. For alterations and the «front» of the shop, go in the door that is on Greenfield Avenue.
I have one complaint, and that is that the shop smells like cigarette smoke, which would not make me want to buy a dress from them, and makes me a little nervous about what my dress is going to smell like when I pick it up.
They prefer cash or check, so come prepared for that.
