Atomic Tattoos

Really great experience with Karen when she pierced my other nostril. She was friendly, fun to talk to, and took the time to make sure the new piercing was level with my original one. Also, very clean shop and reasonably priced. No frills. Overall, I’ll be back for piercings and certainly interested in exploring for tattoos as well.

My partner and I went to Atomic Tattoos for a walk-​in on Saturday. She got a septum piercing and I got a small tattoo. Customer service is not usually a tattoo shop’s strong suit so we were not expecting much in terms of friendly staff. However, we had a great experience at Atomic!
Josh was a very friendly tattoo artist who made me feel at ease with my first tattoo.
Karen did my partner’s piercing with precision and ease. We could tell she was a skilled piercer.
Keep up the great work, Atomic!
(The only downside to our experience was that when we walked in the staff just kind of looked at us for a while without acknowledging us. That was a bummer.)

My friend and I stopped in to look at their artwork and possibly get a tat. We loved their work and just happen to have 2 artists available to do our tats for us. My artist was Ryan and he was amazing in every way. This was my 1^st tattoo, so I was a little nervous. I told Ryan that and he was a gem, walking me through every step of the way. Very calm energy, which made me feel at ease. I opted to listen to music through my ear buds to kinda ‘zone out’ from the pain, which he was more than fine with, but still offered to talk to me if I wish. The tattoo came out better than expected! Bold, great lines, and the pain wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be. Thank you Ryan, for making my 1^st tat experience a positive one. You were so kind, gentle, and so polite. Thanks again.
(The only reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars was because of another artist that wasn’t the friendliest that got us started with getting our sketches printed out. He seemed irritated a lot and frustrated with me/​my friend, though we only talked to him for like 5 mins. I’ve seen in other reviews he’s been the same with others as well. I don’t remember his name though.)

This is my favorite place to get pierced or get tattoos. Sam is amazing. He has been free handing most of my work and it is amazing. Check the pictures I uploaded. As far as customer service, I have always experienced excellent customer service. I have never had a problem with rude staff or anything like that. The best thing to do, is make an appointment if you want a tattoo or a piercing. You can’t expect to walk in and get what you want when the shop is closing in five minutes. I have referred several people to the shop. They have come out with amazing tattoos. I highly recommend atomic.

Great atmosphere, friendly artists, clean shop. Kate helped my mom find the right script for her tattoo when my mom wasn’t sure. Armando did a small section of my tattoo to show me how it will feel which put me at ease that he acknowledged this was my first tattoo. Three of us went, two of us first timers and we’re all satisfied!

Thanks so much to the piercer Art. He was absolutely amazing. He calmed my nerves and i had an easy, nearly painless experience. He was also absolutely hilarious and had my boyfriend and I laughing the whole time. Very professional and an over all awesome out come. I couldnt have asked for anything better. I will definitely be coming back for more! Will be visiting and telling my friends when Art is back in town! Thanks again!

No no no… this place sucks. I don’t know anything about how well they do with tattoos but if we’re talking piercing and customer service, they’ve got some pretty big problems. I have been to both of their locations in Milwaukee and had a bad experience at both of the locations.
The first time I went in was at their Eastside location and I went in to see if I could buy a new nose ring. The guys who were working acted as though they knew literally nothing about piercings… like they couldn’t just sell me a new ring because their piercer was at the other location. (I never even got to telling them that I needed something in particular). They acted completely disinterested and like the had better things to do even though I was the only customer in the store. So I left and I ended up going to their other location (should have known it wouldn’t have been any better.)
At their Northside location I told the piercer that I needed a titanium ring because I’m allergic to surgical steel and was having a bad reaction to my current nose ring. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any of those in stock… so the piercer said that he would order one for me and that it would be in by the end of the week. Gave him my phone number, and he said he’d call once it came in. One week goes by… then two, and it’s been a month now… never got a call from them.
Overall, the problem I saw here was that the employees are rude and totally disinterested and don’t care what-​so-​ever about their customers. Will not be going back.

Piercer put my daughter as ease, which is important. I could tell he was very aware of keeping things sterile in his immediate work space and changed his gloves any time he touched something that could contaminate the materials. He did a good job making sure he placed the piercings where she would like them.
Environment was predictable for a tattoo joint.
As I stated in my check in comment — what really chapped my hide was the lack of consideration to the CUSTOMERS in regards to all the staff standing on either side of the entrance smoking. I hate the smell of smoke it makes me feel sick and headaches follow. I get the F the status quo thing and all, been there, but if you want people to pay you money for your talents, you need to have a bit more consideration especially with the number of choices customers have. Go smoke out back or just 10 feet from the door so we don’t have to walk through the cloud to get into the store.

This was my third tattoo (the first two done elsewhere), and I’m incredibly thrilled with the result. Cisco gave me an outline of my home state on my inner wrist. He was extremely quick, friendly and informative. Most importantly, his lines were on point — easily the most defined out of all three. I’m from out of town, but I will seriously consider a return trip for my fourth tattoo. Thanks!

Don’t bother going! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I came here 4 days ago after trying 2 other piercing shops that had nose rings. I had accidentally knocked my nose ring out the day prior and just needed to find a new one and have it put in my already pierced nose.
Place smelled like marijuana and the piercer was obviously stoned. I was desperate to get a nose ring back in because it had already been a day and the hole was starting to close.
It took forever for him to process my questions which made finding a new nose ring take way longer than necessary. When putting the new nose ring in, he used gloves but didn’t clean the area before putting new stud in. He did use vaseline to lubricate.
TURNS OUT HE PUT MY STUD IN TOO TIGHT and my nose has been bleeding and oozing puss underneath so it might be infected, too.
I just went back today and piercer hasn’t showed up for work! He’s supposed to be here and they don’t know when he’s showing up! I got there an hour after it opened. There are no other piercers on the staff.
Now, I have to try to contain this problem until I’m out of state and can find a clean, reputable place that can put my nose ring in correctly.
I have no idea how they are still business.

I’m new to the MKE/​Tosa area and had been looking for a place to get my new tattoo. I happened to be lucky enough to have this fantastic place right in my neighborhood. I was able to walk in on a Sunday afternoon, show the staff a picture the compass rose I wanted on my forearm and the were able to come up with an awesome design on the spot.
Not only was the work great, but the artists are friendly and incredibly engaging. I got some new art and some great conversation.

I love this place.
It’s been almost two months since I’ve had an infection of my ear lobe piercings. I went to the doctor, but the nurse and doctor said, «You look fine.» The doctor gave me five days of antibiotic because I asked for it, but didn’t have much advice beyond stop using alcohol, peroxide, and antibacterial cream on your ears. The antibiotic didn’t have an effect so I finally looked up a piercing place which I should have done from the start.
Sara is so nice, careful, and sanitary! She cleaned my studs, put them in, and gave me saline solution for free!!! She also gave me a brochure for APP and
I would definitely come here again for any piercings or tattoos.
Highly Recommend.

Recently got my septum piercing from Sara and she is very professional, clean, and precise. I have not always had the best of luck at other piercing establishments. My piercing looks great and is healing perfectly fine.

Best tattoo place in town

Wonderful experience for a newbie to the tattoo scene. I’ve admired Japanese body art since learning of their trade while studying for my BFA. I knew that if I were ever to brandish a work of art on my skin, it would be for life. I’d want my canvas to be used with utmost care and diligence.
I was fortunate to have a sitting with Horiryu, on tour in the USA and then working with the artists at Atomic Tattoo. The atmosphere was busy, but not chaotic. The artist held his countenance and worked quickly at the same time. I had work applied from my left deltoid, around the front bicep to the tricep — all within 3 hours! Pure magic.
I noticed the staff was very helpful with questions. Another customer was unsure of tattooing due to his possible hemophilia. The owner was professional and advised the client to see his doctor first. Not a fly-​by-​night operation. Highly recommend. See for yourself in my profile photo!
Drawback? Excellent art does not come cheap. Total work done was billed at $ 650. For a lifetime investment on your body, it is worth it.
