I purchased a refrigerator there & had to pay for delivery that took a few days to get. Once it was delivered they plugged it in, we tried to set up the water line for the ice maker & the inlet valve was shot-then 5 hours later the fridge still didn’t even get slightly cold inside. I called to complain. They had a repair man come by and he said the refrigerator compresser was totally shot & the fridge was no good! So I went back to the store and they didn’t have much to choose from in the colors I wanted. I asked if they would take $ 100 off of a more expensive fridge for all the troubles after I already took the day off work to have a broken fridge delivered to me(& I would be spending $ 200 more to purchase this other one that had large dings & scratches on the side of it) the owner declined to give me a the discount I requested. I told them I want my money back, so now I have to wait for 3 days to get my money until they come get this broken refrigerator out of my house! I am disappointed that I was treated that way by the owner. I went & purchased a brand new refrigerator for $ 800(only $ 200 more that the dented scratched up one she refused a discount on) with a 5 year warranty & free delivery. That I can’t get delivered until the get this broken piece of junk out of my house. I can’t believe that they didn’t even know the appliance didn’t even work before selling it! Buyer Beware!!!

DONTBUYFROMHERE! This place is horrible! The owner is RUDE and extremely tacky. I purchased a stove and refrigerator from them. Within 2 weeks the refrigerator was not working. I had to call several times for them to send out a repair person. Once they determined they were not able to repair my refrigerator, they decided to replace it. Only problem, is they sent a fridge much smaller than the one I purchased, and it was a completely different color. The owner Maureen is extremely rude, and does not know how to use the hold button when she decides to bash her customers. You would be better off saving up to buy new, or go to NEWTOYOUAPPLIANCE. At least they are Christians, and know how to treat their customers.

Never ever ever ever buy anything from thus place! They are a bunch of scam artists & will take your money and run! The City of West Allis needs to step in and shut this place down! Prior to buying from this place I was checking out some places to buy a brand new washer/dryer but me being a single mom, I decided I would try to save a little bit of money on a washer and dryer instead of buying it brand new. Yes when you buy used items, there’s always that chance that something might go wrong but listen to my story before you decide if it was a business technicality or if they are scammers. In February of 2013 I bought a Maytag washer and a Whirlpool dryer. They both looked fairly new and I was hoping it would do the job. Within 90 days of the warranty both the washer and the dryer broke. The washer would not empty water in the dryer would not spin. They sent out a technician and he was there for about 5 hours fixing both machines. Finally they were doing the job that I spent almost $ 500 on. In October of that year the washer and dryer broke again! I was very upset and sensed they knew that these washer and dryers were not sellable items. I called them up and spoke to somebody over the phone who said that there washers and dryers should last about 5 years before any breakage. I explained to her that I haven’t even had the washer or the dryer more than a year and this is the second time BOTH have broke. She referred me to a guy named Ricky and told me to give him a call so you can come and check it out to see if they were salvageable. If they weren’t salvageable, she would work with me on getting a discount on a new set by turning in the ones i had in. Months go by of trying to contact Ricky and I get no response. I decided to stop in about 3 weeks ago to see if there was any way they could get me in touch with Ricky or what are the steps that I needed to take to solve this problem. The lady at the front desk who I think is the owner of the company was extremely rude stating that no employee of hers would have said anything about a five year plan for any appliance or she would«cut their tounge off». I pleaded for her to look me up in the system because the lady had noted that she would put what we talked about in the system for future reference. Sure enough in black & white it had exactly what I had told her. SHESTILLDIDNOTHONORWHATHER«MANAGER» PUTINTOTHESYSTEM! she stated that there was nothing she could do to help me and that I took my chances by buying used appliances. This business is a shame to our community & I hope this review detours people from spending money here.

I finally decided to buy myself a washer and dryer. After deciding against buying one off Craigslist I began researching used appliance stores in Milwaukee. After calling a couple places and asking about prices, I decided that As New Appliances was the first store I wanted to go check out in person. As New has a plethora of used appliances. They are a used appliance store. They are located in east West Allis. Don’t expect anything fancy. When I walked in I made a beeline to their large selection of used name-brand washer and dryers. Prices ranged from about $ 170 to $ 220 per unit. Staff was somewhat informal, casual and disorganized but they were friendly in helping me pick out what I wanted. In less than a half hour I had picked out the washer and dryer I was going to purchase. When I checked out the employee gave me a discount of $ 20 for buying a pair, which was nice. As New delivers and sets up your appliance for $ 25 in Milwaukee County. I had a $ 10 off coupon from their website, so my delivery fee was $ 15. They also offer a 90 day warranty on their appliances. I made my purchase on a Monday and they were able to deliver as soon as Wednesday. However, delivery hours during weekdays are during my work hours so I waited until Saturday for a delivery. Delivery went smoothly. Two men arrived in a big truck. They brought my appliances in and hooked them up(except for the dryer vent, which they make you do on your own). However, during installation one of the men discovered that the spin cycle on my washer did not work. I was peeved that they had delivered me a broken washer and was starting to doubt their name of «As New Appliances.» The delivery man told me someone could come out on Monday to fix it. I verified this by calling the shop myself when he left. The woman I spoke to seemed remorseful that my washer didn’t work. However, she only offered me between 9am and 4pm on Monday for someone to come fix the dryer. I explained to her that I work during those hours and since they delivered me a non-functioning appliance would need someone to come out earlier or later than that. It took a lot of hemming and hawing on her part and a few phone calls on Monday, but someone did come out later in the evening on Monday. He was friendly, seemed experienced, and quickly fixed my washer. I did 3 successful loads that night. As long as both the washer and dryer continue to work, I will be a happy camper. Am glad they have a 90 day warranty as well. Overall this review is mainly a positive one, although my experience with As New included a few bumps along the road. If my appliances continue to work long-term, I may bump them up to 4 stars. If you are looking for a used appliance, I would recommend you as least check out As New Appliances.
