I was very dissatisfied with Dr. Stevens. I spent 4 hours in his office on my first visit. I noticed he was very keen to suggest prescription drugs. In particular, he convinced me to take a dangerous immunosuppressant drug for my cold allergy (which is a painful condition that does affect my everyday life). I was very wary of the possible side effects, one of which is cancer. The other guaranteed side effects are suppression of the immune system, making it nearly impossible for the body to fight off any sort of infection, including the common cold. Dr. Steven seemed annoyed and inpatient that I would be asking questions. Then, (thanks to John Oliver), I learned about the Affordable Care Act’s database for doctor pay offs. Dr. Steven received $ 794,110.00 from big pharma in 2014. No wonder he wanted me to take an immunosuppressant that cost $ 16,000 per injection (8x a year). You can see the data here:

I did not return to Dr. Steven’s office after being charged $ 900 for allergy testing he told me was important — if you want to be tested for environmental only allergies, rub a cat in your face. He «doesn’t test for food allergies», which was the reason for my visit. Instead, he talked me into the environmental allergies test. I’m really allergic to mold (and you are too, you are human!).
I suspect he is a drug company sell-​out.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Steven’s for almost 7 years, and I am so glad I found him. Dr. Steven’s care has given me my good health back. He is a great doctor who is «up» on all the latest medications and treatments, thinks creatively and is always willing to listen to and consider a patient’s ideas and thoughts. His staff is friendly and always helpful. For anyone struggling with allergies and asthma who wants a normal life, I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Steven, because he’s simply the best.

I have been a patient of Dr. Steven’s office for almost 2 years and I am continually impressed with their service and attention to my medical needs. Dr. Steven is a remarkable doctor and it is apparent in how he treats his patients. He is attentive and really listens to his patients. The staff is always helpful, friendly and attentive to my needs. And the best part, I feel much better since I started my treatment! By far, Dr. Steven and his staff are the best in treating allergies and asthma, particularly mine!
