Today we decided to give the Milton diner a try for lunch. I definitely give this place a 2 thumbs up and a 5 star rating. The restaurant is nothing fancy. But, if you’re looking for great food(and plenty of it) at affordable prices, this is the place to go. I had the fried clam dinner and highly recommend it. My son and mom had burgers and both said they were very good. Dad had the fried haddock dinner and said it was very good.

The Milton Diner is a local no-frills place. It’s been a part of the town of Milton for years, and if you know the town of Milton this should be enough for you. If you’re from out of town, this is a legit classic diner. The menu options haven’t changed in years. You will not find any low carb, gluten free, local, or other fancy menu options. The burger is good. It is a little greasy, but it comes out hot. The size is good. French fries are the hand-cut style, not from a bag of frozen sticks. You can never go wrong with breakfast. Your home fries will always come out fresh and hot, and eggs can be done to your order. I don’t recommend the sausage gravy. Ambience is nothing special. Dining room is clean and you will always overhear some of the local gossip.

I went to this diner for a late breakfast/early lunch with two friends. We were halfway through a camping trip that involved a lot of adult beverages and miles and miles of hiking. Needless to say, I was ravenous and craving some down-home diner comfort food. This place delivered, well. I had the«cheese delight» which was two very thick slices of French toast, with ooey gooey melty fresh VT cheese stuffed in the middle, topped with fresh and local VT maple syrup. This dish was so good I still think about it, and will have it again next time I’m camping in the area. The ingredients were local, fresh and tasty, which is what many places in Vermont do well. I’m from upstate NY and camp in Vermont regularly. Vermont is awesome for their natural beauty, awesome beer, and awesome food. Service was good too. Definitely going back.

Pretty good service all in all. We had a 6 top with only 4 person booths available and the waitstaff was very helpful in seating us accordingly! The food was really well portioned and appropriately priced. This place is a fine place to eat. Bonus: breakfast all day

Burgers overly greasy. Fries under cooked full of grease. Waitress very slow and not interested in doing her job. Will not go there again!

Ventured up to Milton as I usually do once in awhile. Never tried Milton Diner before but had passed by a few times. Stopped in for breakfast and it was BIG. Typical diner type fare and nothing really stood out as being memorable. A huge amount of fried potatoes but I’m pretty fussy about them and these weren’t so good. Other than that, it was ok. If I were hungry for breakfast, I’d probably stop again. A lot of the older crowd seem to really love the place though.

Went in on Saturday morning around 11 am and it was busy. Had to wait for service but we understood. We sat outside and it was nice. Our waitress forgot to bring a drink and some of the food when it finally came out. Omelets didn’t have enough cheese but did have a lot of meat. I liked my roast beef hash blueberry pancakes and breakfast potatoes. No water or juice refill. You can see into the kitchen when you order an ice cream and there are no gloves being used by the cooks on food being served. Due to limited restaurants in the area Id consider going back if I was in Milton.

This is definitely a local place. I was pretty amazed at how good the food was cause I didn’t expect much because of the atmosphere. I had a turkey club sandwich that came was delightful you could tell it was fresh the bread was toasted just right. It was far from fancy but it was truly just a good workingman’s lunch. Most of the people that were in the restaurant when I was there were farmers still dressed in their boots and work clothes. I found them all to be delightful and friendly.

The food was very good, so was the service. Drove around the corner and saw a guy riding a child’s bike. Not that unusual. The swastika tattoo he was sporting on his bare chest was a bit out-of-the-ordinary, however…

Consistently good food and great service from the newer staff. Apart from the poor layout of the one crowded room, they provide stellar diner breakfast. If they ever have the chance to take over the pretty bad Apollo Diner location they would become«the» diner to visit.
