Agree with current. The portion size was perfect. And the food was good and hot. Its cafeteria style but its a small line and they bring out the food in small batches. All the servers where on top of things without being invasive. If I had one issue its people who come in with multiple to go orders. I think they could fix it by having the people fill out all their orders on a piece of paper and let the servers just get it done. Nice to see Josh again.

Classic meat and three type cafeteria. Service is really good the people behind the counter serving the food are very nice and very prompt. I’ve only been once, & I got my meal takeout. Made the mistake of ordering fried chicken, and it had been freshly cooked. So, by the time I arrived home the crust on the chicken was soggy. By no means was the fault of the restaurant. Otherwise, the food is tasty! The portion size of the meat especially the chicken could be a tad bit larger. Macaroni and cheese is awesome and banana pudding is very good.

Service was great and the country fried steak is to die for. Green beans were a little spicy for me but if you like that sort of thing, they would be good. Will visit again soon

This new(ish) place rates 5 stars, but I’ll reserve that until after my next visit. It’s a cafeteria-style, blue plate special sort of eatery. You get a meat choice, either two or three sides, cornbread or a roll, a dessert, and choice of drink for exactly $ 8 for lunch. Might’ve been $ 9. I tipped, so I can’t exactly remember. I had the roast in gravy(more like beef tips, but that’s a semantical difference) on mashed potatoes with double sides of mac-n-cheese. The beef was good, the potatoes were probably from a box, but the mac-n-cheese was amazing. When you go, whatever you get as a main… get some mac-n-cheese. The people that work here are over-the-top friendly and helpful. That’s unusual. I ate alone, but still received great service. I’ve been to many places where a lone diner is ignored or shunned. Pepsi products, which suck. When the Oval Office was in this space, they also only had Peepsee, so I don’t know if that’s a condition of the lease of what. What I do know is that Pepsi sucks. Stick with the tea or water… Milton has excellent, quality water. Plus, they’ll fix you up a to-go cup to take with you for no extra charge. I may go back tomorrow, because I want more of that mac-n-cheese. Good stuff! Unusual for the regressive Baptist régime in Milton and central Santa Rosa county, Doris’ is open on Sunday. Slide by and check it out.
