What an awesome tasting room with awesome ciders. I couldn’t have learned more about cider if I wanted to! Worth a stop and get some cider, they are great!

Not exactly sure why people would hate on this place. The tasting room is very nice, very modern, very clean. The tastings are free and you get to try it all of their different ciders they make. Prices are reasonable. There is lots of places to sit if you want to, or you can converse with the employees and listen to explanations of the ciders. You do have to stand while you do your tastings but this is actually very common for anyone who is actually done wine tasting before! This is probably one of the nicest places in Milton-Freewater also so that is a plus. I recommend the cherry cider!

I’m using to doing my tasting a breweries, so this was an odd change of pace for me. The place is set up like a wine tasting venue. They have two separate bars(for some reason I didn’t entirely grasp), one for cider and one for wine. They make all of their stuff in a separate building across the parking lot. This might just be me, but the one thing I found weird is that we weren’t charged any money for the tasting. It was nice, but I’m used to being charged for samplers, so I felt like I had to buy something. It was awkward for me. The young woman helping us really did seem to know her cider. We tried six different ciders(three apple, three flavored), and she was able to articulate the subtle differences between them, and comment on how they were made. Not being a cider aficionado, I had a few questions, and she was able to answer them quite well. Definitely worth a stop if you’re into ciders.

Blue Mountain Cidery and Watermill Winery is a wonderful place! The cider is out of this world, people are obviously amazing because it is the largest family owned orchard in all of Oregon — so they have to get along with each other! Milton-Freewater is a beautiful town with rich history and not to mention surrounded by beautiful orchards of apples and cherries. Highly recommended! Always a great and delicious time.

Good service weird layout for a tasting room. No chairs? The cider was good. If the weather is good buy a bottle of cider and sit out side on there patio.
