My husband and I wondered in here just to look our anniversary was coming up. I of course saw something I really liked and the price wasn’t bad so my husband bought it. A week later we make the very long drive back to milpitas from Santa Rosa to pick up my newly sized ring I had it on on the drive back and for the rest of the day took it off before showering and sleeping. The next moring i decided to take dog for a walk I put the leash on my dog and my ring band bends and breaks right in the middle not even 24 hours after we picked it up. The jewelry there is cheap and very bad quality please never shop here. You will probably go in and see the pretty stuff and even get excited to see the price but trust me its just expensive costume jewelry.

In June, 2009, Verily Voss, at Ultra Diamond in Milpitas, CA, either lied to me outright about the diamond she was selling me, or was completely misinformed about the diamond. In either case, the item that she described to me is not the item that she sold to me. My credit card company has provisionally refunded me the cost of the diamond and is pursuing the matter, attempting to get the money back from Ultra Diamond corporate headquarters. On 15 June, Ms. Voss showed me a 3.2 ctw solitaire, round diamond in a white gold setting. She told me that while the diamond was not Canadian, it was certified, with paperwork, and had a laser-inscribed certification number on its girdle. Certification is a very important factor in diamond value. I made my purchase based largely on the assurance of the certification and the laser inscription. When I got the diamond home, I was unable to see the inscribed number. I also realized, on reading the fine print on the«certification,» that it was worthless. I went back the next day to ask about the inscribed number. Ms. Voss assured me that yes, the diamond is laser inscribed – just difficult to see. She suggested that I look more carefully or with better magnification. Later that week I took the diamond to Kay Jeweler’s in Pleasanton, who have a jewelery microscope that customers can use. The jeweler and I both examined the diamond very carefully. It was clear that there was no laser inscription. Another jeweler that I showed the diamond to, explained the story to, and showed the«certificate» to, stated that it sounded as though Ultra Diamond had committed fraud. I went back to Ultra Diamond in Milpitas and asked them to show me the inscribed number. Ms. Voss, and the manger, spent more than 30 minutes looking through magnification to attempt to locate the number on the diamond. At two points, they gave the ring to me, pointing to the spot to look, saying that they had found the number. When I looked at the spot they indicated, I saw that it was a piece of dust or dirt. Finally, after telling them that I had examined the diamond under a microscope and saw that there is no number, they called their buyer. They then told me that they had been mistaken — that the diamond does not have an inscribed number. They refused to take the diamond back. Now, they do state clearly, up front, that they have a no-return policy. However, it was clear that the diamond had been sold to me using deceit. I expected the manager and the salesperson to have some honor and some consideration for a customer who had just trusted them by making a very large purchase. They said it was out of their hands. After some difficulty, which I won’t bore you with, I made contact with Mak Taravany from the Ultra Diamond corporate office — who, to make a long and painful story very short, also refused to take the diamond back. This experience was horrible. Extremely disappointed… and I feel stupid for having been duped by this fraudulent retail chain.

1st the service was excellent. 2nd My fiancé were walking by one day and something kept telling me to walk in here. There was a reason it was my destiny. They had what was called a ultra buy a 1.00 carat princess. The cut and clarity were ok but it was real cheap. The down side was the band was really thin. We had two options change the bad or get a ring enhancer that would be soldered to the ring. I purchased the ring, they sent it to get resized and soldered together. When we picked it up the week later it wasn’t soldered together. My fiancée was furious, we almost returned it. They promised to have it soldered the next day. Since I was proposing and it kinda ruined my surprise. I have to propose anyway and not let it ruin my gameface. Nevertheless I got engaged thanks to Ultra and the great service I will be back in the future to purchase more.
