Zero stars if I could. Called and made an appointment for cut and color. Went over and they had no idea what I was talking about even though I had confirmed 5 minutes prior to my arrival. Showed them what I wanted and they said they couldn’t do it(a very basic highlight job) because their product sucks. Really??? Wow. Weak!!! I don’t recommend that place at all.

Heidi did a great job in my hair cut. After the hair cut, she uses a hair curler to create voluminous waves in my hair. Overall it is a great experience.

I came here about a month ago with my mom. She wanted a cut and color, so I thought I’d try them. Over the last five years I’ve been trying to find a salon that can cut my hair in layers the way I want it. A few years ago, I went to Maggie Max to get my hair cut and one of the stylists there(not Maggie) cut my hair in these amazing layers that everyone at work was giving me compliments. I went back to Maggie’s a couple times to find this lady, but it looked like she no longer worked there, so every since then I’ve been trying to find someone that could get my hair just the way I wanted it! I’ve gone to Friends Salon in San Jose a few times, Regis Salon at Valley Fair Mall, but was never satisfied. At Tina’s, Helen cut my hair. I didn’t bring any pictures, so I just told her that I wanted layers, but I want it all over. She first ironed my hair, then started cutting away. It looked great when she was done. I could see all the different lengths of layers. She only charged me $ 18! I was very surprised, dang, such a good price! I’m not sure why the previous reviewers for this salon put four $$$$. Now, I wanted to wait until the next day after I wash and air dry my hair to see if the layers naturally fell the way I wanted it to. BAM, it did! Thank goodness, I think I found my new go to hair salon! I hope Helen can keep up the good work because I’ll be coming here again. Thanks!

This salon cuts my hair the way I ask them to. «Enough said» As a result I end up giving HIEDY100% tip. My hair is not easy to cut, and it’s so hard to find someone who can. Zero to fade(LOWFADE) sometimes I think other barbers out there don’t understand what LOW means. It’s so upsetting at times. Now that I have found HEIDY I don’t have to worry anymore whether she’s going to a great job or not. The result will always be the same. Thanks HEIDY MERYCHRISTMASAND A HAPPYNEWYEAR!

The lady in training can not know when to stop shaving my hair. She is stupid. Don’t go there, it is a waste of money!

Been going here for over ten years. The ladies speak broken english but are friendly and do their best to give good haircuts. I keep coming back. That says a lot

I was hesitant in looking for a new hair salon. My old salon is located in downtown San Jose, with $ 4 a gallon it is a little far. I was nervous waiting, I had a few others recommend to be cut by Helen. My cut isn’t complicated, 1 on top, zero on the sides w/high fade and a line. But people fail. After I waited for 20min I finally had a chance to sit with Helen. I told her 1 on top, high fade and zero on the side. She finished in less than 10min, cleaned up my side burns and edges and before I get a chance to ask for a line, she did it! Great cut, very pleased! I will be back!

I’ve almost given up on hair salon. No one seem to be able to cut my hair properly like my mom. Until today. I only realized it was a good cut when I got home. I called back and asked for the name of the person who cut my hair. The person on the phone gave me the name Heidi, but how would they know that from my voice on the phone? There was two ladies working there that day. I will come back next time and ask for Heidi… I hope it’s the right person.

This place is pretty decent. If you go here I recommend Christine. She cuts pretty good hair. She takes her time with her customers until they are satisfied and she is very friendly. She did my hair once and it turned out very pretty. Im waiting for my hair to grow longer so I can layer my hair again with her! If you go, ask for Christine.

Don’t you just hate it when you tell your hairstylist to cut a certain length and they cut off DOUBLE(or even triple) of what you initially wanted?! THISISWHATHAPPENEDHERE! My cousin wanted to go here when I went a few stores down to Haircuts for my monthly haircut. I guess it was because of the décor?(Haircuts is more of a barber shop then a salon environment) In the end, it was her fault for being shallow because I ended up loving my haircut and she ended up hating hers. She complained so much she begged me to write a review for her. So here goes. Her hair stylist was named Helen. Helen vaguely asked her what she wanted her hair to look like. My sister told her she just wanted a trim but wanted her bangs shortened so it didn’t look dull with her one length hair. Helen just nodded her head. She soon began to cut. My sister’s hair ended up shoulder length when it was to her elbows. Did Helen fall asleep??? Not only that but her bangs were also so nasty and choppy. It honestly looked like our baby cousin cut her hair with kitchen scissors. My sister said Helen probably got lost while chitchatting with her fellow coworker the whole time. We are not the type of people to start drama so we just left. I hope she learned her lesson. Never again.

9 times out of 10 I usually walk out of a hair salon unsatisfied and asking myself how I can reattach my chopped-off hair with super glue. In my head I’m cursing myself for not having run out of the place earlier and having to hand over money for this fobcut. But alas, I have finally found a place knows how to cut Asian hair without making me look like the poster child for Pocky(not that I dislike Pocky, but that style of haircuts just ain’t for me). So in this little Vietnamese hair salon, cute little stylist, Tracy, tries to attend to her customers in broken English, but still as courteously as possible! I am a little afraid as she works to create the layered effect. My hair is flat, slightly wavy, and looks like I just slept on it. However, two minutes into the cut and I feel like I’m in heaven. Now I don’t even care if she messes up on my cut, because I’m getting a free head massage as she snips away the ends of my locks. But within about 7 minutes, my relaxation session is over and the layering is done. After some straightening and styling, my hair looks, surprisingly, revitalized, and le master de snippers has once again, created another masterpiece! She asks for $ 15 and I hand her the money. But I don’t want to leave my seat just yet… I just want to bask in the massage feeling for a little bit longer! Reality has finally sunk in, and I reluctantly leave the place. But at least this time, I leave with some dignity. I was satisfied. I finally found a place that understood hair for a decent price. Now this place has become my official salon, and I, their devoted customer.

This place only knows how to cut the average guy’s hair, which is flat and short. Unfortunately, my hair is poofy and wavy. As such, cutting it really short and high doesn’t look very good on me. Even though I explain this to them, they still do it. As a result, I end up looking really weird and even they notice it. So if your hair is flat and has no style, this place is acceptable. But I need a more skilled hair stylist. My search continues!!!
