Original beef soup and tomato egg with beef noodle — GETIT. Dumplings were eh, too much water and ginger. They even serve very good tea, we got fragrant jasmine. Customer service was excellent! Noodles came out fast, dumplings took a little longer.

Came here for an early dinner on a Thursday night around 5:30 pm. I’ve actually had food from here twice(family leftovers) but first time actually dining here. There were only two other tables so we got seated right away! Bf was super hungry and wanted leftovers for work the next day so we ordered a nice variety. We ordered: Beef noodle soup(a little bland here but the noodles were good. Wish it had more of a spicy kick). Also the option to have tendon and beef or just beef. Fried fish filet(so yummy! Sweet and spicy at the same time) Greens cooked in garlic(my favorite dish of the night!) Salt and pepper shrimp(tasty but natter was a little too thick for my taste) Pineapple fried rice(yum!!) They also have a deal on beer which is buy 5(variety) at $ 3 a pop and get 1 free. Basically was $ 15 for about a pitchers worth of beer. I’ve also tried the tomato noodles, pork chop noodles and the curry chicken quesadilla(highly recommend!). Definitely coming back to try the salt and pepper chicken wings and the pork chop rice plate! Service: took a little time to wave a worker down to order but they were super friendly and not in a rush to kick us out even when it got busier later on.

3 star. Tried the tomato egg noodles. Seemed like most tables ordered this. Its like a sweet tomato gravy with some shrimp, meat no veggies. Taste like the can soup chef boyardee alphabet ones. Noodles very good though. I like the texture of it. Gravy wise not so much because it was too sweet for my noodle prefrence. We also ordered, the bejing fish n that was freaking bomb. Order that ppl. It has a nice crunchy texture but not too crunchy where it’s like over fried. Batter in sauce was good. Sauce coating is similar to Peking spare ribs. Its a Tad sweet n savory. Fish interior meaty fish n tasted fresh. I love that dish. Also had the quesadilla, the pork on cheese one, first one on the quessadilla section. Its good but no flavor at all. We ended dipping it with hot sauce on soy sauce. Had the porridge which again had no seasoning not even salt in it. It had some sweet potato but still unflavor. Not recommend. Also side dish seaweed in spicy pigs ear. Pig ear had that numbing peppercorns taste. I do I didn’t like either seaweed or ear dish. Both we’re cold dish. If I ever come back it will only be for that Bejing fry fish filet. Its so darn tasty. Not bad but one out of many dish I like is not a calling note for me to come back.

Authentic Xi’an cuisine. The beef tendon soup we ordered was deemed best in the area by someone who ought to know, who also loved their handcrafted noodles. I wasn’t as wowed by the bread soup but it was just like how I remembered it in Xi’an. The service was super friendly and the portions were huge(a bowl of noodle soup and a dish would be more than enough to feed three). The restaurant just opened last year but they have a lot to offer. I may try their house-made dumplings next time.

All time favorite go-to restaurant if I can’t think of anything to eat. The servers there are always so nice, friendly and foods always come out very quickly with good consistent tastiness & food quality. Every time I go there, I always order the same dishes(I can eat their foods for days without getting tired of it at all). By default, we order Beijing Style Fried Fish Fillet, Beijing Style Fried Chicken Wings, Chinese Green Onion Pancakes Quesadilla(with any flavors of meats inside), Beef Noodle Soup & Eggs Tomatoes Noodles(their noodles are like the BEST since it’s like handmade noodles). Their foods are so delicious, so yummy and so tasty! I will highly recommend any of my friends to go there to eat and I will tag along with them as well, just because I love eating there so much(lolz).

Just discovered this great spot in Milpitas — thanks to my baby brother for the rec. Five stars for their perfect version of Da Lu Mien(on the menu as Noodle with Gravy $ 9) served piping hot, the cold cucumber in sesame sauce($ 5) and their shrimp, pork, and chive dumplings($ 8 for 12). Also tried the scallion pancake(mine lacked salt, but other Unilocalers rave, so it might just have been an off night) and the beef noodle soup(the beef was tender and noodles were great, but the anise and clove in the broth were especially prominent and overpowered the broth — maybe because I ordered it towards the end of the night? Not sure). Loved the dumplings so much I have purchased several bags to go so that I can make them in potsticker form at home. They have about five frozen varieties available. Will definitely be back to try their other dishes. Service has been consistently great.

Thousand Tasty serves food that is a fusion between Taiwanese and Chinese cuisines(yes, they are different!). Wanting to get some noodle soup on a cold winter day, we came to Thousand Tasty to check out their handmade noodles. Personally, I think handmade noodles make a huge difference. Shanghai Noodle House in Fremont is one example — their handmade noodles, wontons, and other dishes all taste great! — Pork belly burger: just A-OK! — Tomato and egg dried noodles: This was one of the most popular dishes on Unilocal,so of course we had to try it. Although tasty, it was a little too tomato-y for me. It was definitely cool to try, but I’m not sure I’d order it again. — Korean style noodle with black bean paste: decent, but not mind blowing — Beef tendon noodle soup: Awesome dish! Unlike other Taiwanese restaurants, you can’t get half beef and half tendon. It’s either or, so that was kind of a bummer! — Oyster omelet: they use a tad too much egg in this dish. Total came out to be around $ 47 with tip and tax, which isn’t too shabby! It’s definitely not one of the top restaurants I’d recommend to my friend, but for the huge portions and price point, it’s definitely a good place to check out.

Yesterday, we stopped for lunch by accident because the restaurant next door was closed. Thousand Tasty was busy with people waiting outside so we decided to give them a try. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. The place was packed and we had a chance to see what others were ordering. Beef Noddle Soup 4 stars did not look appetizing very dark soup and black pieces of beef, but the beef was very tender and the soup was flavorful heavy on the five spice. Spicy Seafood Noddle Soup 3.5 stars soup was OK but lots of toppings Spicy Beef Tendon and Tripe. 4 stars not too spicy Cumin Beef Burger 4 stars heavy on the cumin tender beef bread was soft. To go we ordered Sauerkraut Lamb Casserole 5 stars excellent. Service was good, Plenty of parking in the shopping center. The restaurant is busy, loud and hectic. Food comes out fast. House made noodles.

So yummy! Tried this place for the first time tonight and ordered takeout. I love that the restaurant double lines their to-go food. Foil + takeout box and then also cuts a hole for ventilation. How considerate! The quality of the food was great! You can tell they put a lot of effort into making the food. It’s not sloppy, but very neat. Ordered the dry pork noodles. Portion was so big I couldn’t finish. The beef pancake roll was delicious. And the black bean sauce fish filet was tasty! Definitely going back to try out other menu items.

One of the few places that agrees with my parents and I on the spectrum of food and price and distance from home which is hard to satisfy, Green onion pancake was very good, not too salty and this is coming from a person who makes green onion pancake.

Thousand Tasty took the place of what used to be a Top Café. This place is like a fusion and marriage of multiple Chinese cuisines — Taiwanese, Beijing, etc. What’s definitely notable here are the enormous portion sizes! The bf and I have tried several dishes here, and while they do look tasty on the photos, the sesame cake here is alright, the curry chicken quesadilla is alright, and the other dishes are pretty much standard. However! The one dish that does stand out is the tomato, egg, and beef noodle! The portion is ridiculously huge and you can share one bowl of noodles here between two people. The prices are really fair for the amount of food they give you. I believe they also have lunch specials for $ 7.95 that is really budget friendly with a large portion size as well. Tips: 1. Order the tomato, egg, and beef noodle soup and share it! Its huge!

Menu: the food selection here is good. Not too small or too large to give you problem to decide want to eat. Price: it is affordable and the portions are big enough to share with another person. Service: every time I come, I get seated immediately. The restaurant is not very big but not too small. Maybe I came here at the right time when I don’t have to wait. The servers are really nice. There is this lady, she is always so welcoming and smiling. They all provide good service and act promptly. I have tried the pork dumplings, beef noodle soup, tomato noodle soup and also the black bean Korean noodle. They are all very good. Even the tea is better than the ones I have tried in other places. One time I encountered a problem here with one of our food. They were kind and more than happy to help and I still give them a a 5 star since I tested them and saw how they handled the issue. They took the right procedures and went beyond to help you to enjoy your meal. I highly recommend this place. Give it a try and I’m sure you will be coming back. Even writing this review makes me a little bit hungry thinking about their food!

It’s part of an Asian plaza, so I could see parking being difficult. I didn’t have any trouble for a late lunch, though. It looks amazingly Taiwanese. Mismatched drinkware and terrible service. So of course, my expectations for the food were high. I had E2, beef noodle soup(forgot if it was the spicy one or not). It had about 6 or 7 good chunks of meat, 4 pieces of bokchoy, and a massive mountain of noodles. The soup was delicious. We also got the preserved egg appetizer, but didn’t really do it justice because the noodle bowls were too big. Reasonably priced at ~$ 25 after tax for 3 dishes. I’d be back to try their other things, since good beef noodle soup is usually a positive omen at a Taiwanese place.

I LOVE this place! The Tomato & egg with handmade noodle is one of my go-to dishes. The ingredients are simple, but the taste is just perfection. Really the handmade noodle here is a real winner… chewy and fresh. You cannot go wrong with a shredded onion pancake stir fry either. Green onion pancake by itself is already so good, and then they shred it and make it into an entrée MMMMMM! The portions are big too! I used to come for lunch with my best friend frequently and we would order two dishes and have to take like a third of it all home. Then we would talk about how excited we are to eat the leftovers later :) :)

Consistence earned it another star in my book. Time after time after time the beef tendon noodle never fails. It’s freakin’ the same awesomeness as the first time. The noodles bouncy and chewy. The soup is light-ish rich with great beef flavor. The abundance of beef tendon that are all super soft hits the spot on. Can you tell? Beef tendon is my favorite dish here after coming here 10+ times. $ 1 off beef tendon noodle on Mondays. I tried the squid noodle and it wasn’t to my like although still very good. Some of their soup is more like a sauce after being thickened.

This place … I have mixed feelings. Honestly I am sure Albert W. will come back again, I’m not sure that I would! We tried to order lamb kabobs on a Sunday night, but apparently they only sell them individually($ 1.50) after 10PM and on Sundays they close at 9:30PM so … they wanted us to buy a whole plate of 5 for $ 7.50 … despite the fact that it is … the exact. same. thing. Like they had plates of 5 ready but could not sell us just two of them. ??? The noodles are handmade, and I suppose the dumplings too. But a lot of things here are very fusion-y flavored. The beef noodle soup was what I came for. I wasn’t too thrilled because I actually really liked Izzo’s beef noodle soup better. The broth was more flavorful and therefore the noodles were more flavorful. Izzo’s noodles are thinner despite also being freshly made but I think that allows the noodles to be more flavorful instead of Thousand Tasty’s where the noodles kind of just taste like dough without much salt to it. The broth was good, but again the saltiness was lacking. We also ordered their Sichuan noodles, but it was not clear at all that the sichuan noodles were seafood(and I suspect they actually got this wrong … but they just told us that the sichuan noodles were seafood … even though they already had a seafood noodle ???) Overall, meh.

Thousand Tasty has a bit of an odd combination of Taiwanese and Sichuan styles, but they really pull off the Taiwanese side well. Our hero tried both the traditional beef noodle soup and the spicy Sichuan noodles here and would wholeheartedly recommend the Taiwanese style beef noodle soup in a heartbeat. Their«niu rou mien» here is a solid FIVE: tender meat, chewy hand pulled noodles, and a deep well-balanced broth. It’s quite comparable to traditional style noodles in Taipei and the price point is great as well. The Sichuan style noodles are bit deceptive though and is more like a goopy, thick, spicy seafood stew which is either hit-or-miss depending on your tastes. PROS: — Superb beef noodle soup. — Friendly service. — Good value, with most entrees under $ 10. CONS: — They accept credit cards, but cash is «highly encouraged», if you know what I mean.

I didn’t realize that Top Café closed until someone else mentioned that Thousand Tasty had taken over the spot. It looks the same inside. Last night we had the beef noodle soup and the tomato and egg noodle dish. I don’t know why they list the tomato egg noodle dish as «dry» as it’s quite saucy. Maybe they mean that it’s not a soup? I had seen pics of it before ordering so I wasn’t surprised when it came out. M really liked his beef noodle soup and I did, too. You can really taste the beefy broth and it’s obvious it’s homemade. It had a lot of developed flavor. The beef was soooo tender. Would definitely order this again. My tomato egg dish was good but I was surprised at how sweet the sauce was. Even after adding a ton of hot sauce I could only take a few bites before getting tired of the same taste. It’s a huge portion. I wasn’t in the mood for such a sweet dinner so I took it to go. Having it as leftovers was a better experience. I wouldn’t say it’s as amazing as everyone else says it is. M said it reminded him of the chef boyardee sauce, in the nicest way. Service was super friendly, but we had to flag someone down to get our order taken and again for the check. The floor beneath our table had a used plastic spoon along with some really old onion slices. I guess the old habits of Top Café didn’t die when the new owners took over lol.

This place was one of the better Taiwanese restaurants in the area. Considering there’s also a pretty good taiwanese cuisine right next door, this place did not disappoint. I came here on a weekday night and it was pretty empty, which was good since we didn’t have to wait to be seated. Even though this was an Asian restaurant(& thus I wasn’t excepting exceptional service), the waiter was still really nice and didn’t rush us when we took forever to finalize our order. We ended up getting the Pork and Cheese Multi-layered pancake(?) [not quite sure I got the name down, but it was like a quesadilla], the tomato egg noodles, and the braised pork rice dish. In short everything was up to par and satisfying. Flavorful, yet not too heavy. The pork and cheese pancake/quesadilla was unique; it was two scallion pancake with pork belly and melted cheese in between. It was good, although the stuffing could be a little less dry. The braised pork rice dish was good too. Besides the braised pork belly chunks, it comes with an egg, tofu, and seaweed. Even though it wasn’t the best braised pork dish I’ve had, I was satisfied. The only complain I had was that it was not as hot as I wanted it to be. Perhaps the best thing we ordered was the tomato egg noodle. It’s not a ramen/broth like noodle, it comes with a thick tomato paste like sauce with bits of egg, shrimp, and meat with it. The noodle texture was really good and the sauce was also flavorful(sweet and tangy, but not too overwhelming). Another plus was that the portion size was pretty big. I wouldn’t say that this was the BEST Taiwanese restaurant in the Bay Area, but I would most likely come here again to try their other dishes!

Decent place, has potential! Egg & Tomato noodles: portions are humongous, so definitely share with one more person. Home made noodles(similar to fettuccini pasta) tasted fresh and chewy, tomatoes gave the dish a wet saucy texture, and the eggs complemented everything really well. I wish there were slices of meat or another side included because it does have that repetitive taste where it gets boring and needs that extra«kick» texture. Overall, I would get the egg and tomato noodles again, but would most likely share it with someone. It’s flavorful, juicy and tasted fresh for a semi wet noodle dish.
