Love this place! In love with the complimentary fresh bread they serve. Their shrimp scampi is out of the world and so is the tiramisu. We Keep going back to this place every bi-weekly. The staff is very friendly. Decent place, feels like a good family place or even a good place for a casual date night.

Great service! Food was worth the price! Place had a busy atmosphere but not where I couldn’t hear my group talking. Jay is an excellent waitress because she gave us suggestions on what was tasty. The soup is not free.

Ooof. All I have to say is Mushroom Ravioli. It was SO good! We also ordered the appetizer with mushrooms I think they were the portobello mushroom fries and they were to die for(can you tell we love mushrooms?) Also, the bread, oh the bread is so good! I feel embarrassed writing this but we definitely had our fair share of 3 servings lol and the waitress didn’t seem to judge one bit haha! Our waitress also was phenomenal. I wish I had her name saved. She was so attentive and recommended all the right things. I’m the type of person that if you recommend one thing and it’s amazing then we all of a sudden become best friends and I order anything you tell me to lol! She mentioned the blackberry tea and I was sold. Great experience!

Disgusting. No stars is most appropriate. The bread was cold and stale. The waiter didn’t pour our olive oil or bring us bread and appetizer plates. We reordered fresh bread and it was also stale. We proceeds to an appetizer-had one bite and opted to leave. Seriously horrible. Stay away.

Went there with my team from work, and I was very pleased. We had 25 people there, and the staff took great care of us. I had the chicken marsala and it was fantastic. Will definitely go again.

The place reminds me of olive garden. Came here for lunch with my team from work and had a good lunch. Waiters kept forgetting stuff. They even forgot to take our drink order from my boss, they totally skipped over him… and when we asked if we can get a soda, he sounded as if we made a mistake. Horrible service. Food, eh. It was salty. The carmen’s chicken was wayyy to salty, and literally their onions was drenched in it. The chicken was good though! Would I come back? Maybe, they do have GREAT choclate cake. Only thing I can say positively.

For a chain I was pretty darn impressed for my first time coming. I had low expectations for service and food overall. Debi, our server was amazing. She gave us the best service. She was pleasant and constantly making sure we were well taken care of. The food was pretty good considering I had little to no expectations. One of our plates did have a hair but Debi and the shift manager(I think) Jenny took care of the plate and comped the dish. Overall I had a good experience. Their house wine was nice tasting,(mind you I don’t drink wine) and the food came out in a good fashion. Service was beyond my expectations since I did read previous reviews.

This is a go-to place in the Milpitas area. Never disappoint and always enjoyable. The tradition is for the waiting staff to write on the paper table covering and they have all practiced that very well. The pasta is very buttery. Prepare to have a coffee to chase them down at the end.

Over the past few years, Macaroni Grill has somehow managed to decrease their prices and significantly increase the quality of their food. Nowadays, they have a rather concise menu and they seem to constantly experiment with new dishes ranging from flatbreads and pizzas to new styles of chicken parmigianas. Highlights: The(complimentary) focaccia bread with olive oil(+balsamic vinegar, if you ask for it) Portabello fries Blackened chicken parmigiana Penne Rustica The lemon passion cake

If you can eat anywhere but here, I would strongly suggest it. The service is horrible. The wait staff literally run around like chickens with there heads cut off but what they are doing, I have no idea cause they’re not serving food. I literally had to wave my hand in the air like I was in elementary school trying to get the attention of my teacher. Finally after 15 minutes of waiting my waitress shows up. I had to tell her that I just cut my gum on some piece of hard plastic that was in my food. She had know idea what to do. I mentioned, for starters getting me the manager. Duh!!! The food is just okay. It’s not high end for a restaurant but it isn’t McDonald’s either. The pasta is always undercooked and I’m constantly sending back. I have given this restaurant 3 solid try’s to get it right and they have not proved themselves. Adiós!!!

If there was an option to give negative stars, I would. First off our waiter was VERY rude, she didn’t offer us bread, give us refills unless asked, didn’t offer us any condiments for our pasta such as pepper or cheese. I was annoyed. She brought our bill and didn’t even offer dessert. Then she went to another table and asked if they wanted dessert… I was like really? Do I have to ask for everything myself? And the WORSE part was a piece of hair was on my ice cream just to top it off. Now I’m pissed off and upset because no one cared to fix this and apologize. She also offered«potato» soup and brought me tomato, I guess she doesn’t know her vegetables lol. Incompetent. That’s all.

Sorry but I find it hard to believe that there can’t be a better Italian place than this one in milpitas. We ended up here because we were on our way to great Americas Halloween haunt and weren’t familiar with the area. Needless to say this place was terrible. The only person actually working hard was the manager. I felt bad for him because he was obviously working his tail off and hella stressed. To start the experience our server took about 15 minutes to greet us. Then we made our drink order and it took another 15 minutes. Then we had to ask the manger for the check, then our server never came to get the check, so again, had to get the manager so we could pay. To top it all off my buddy had to get up and serve himself water from the host stand because no one would come to our table. Something is up. Management, get better staff or do a better job of training.

I believe they changed how things are operated because I only have compliments to say in this place! Welcoming and friendly. 3 people from staff came to ask us how it is going and give us some news on their menu. Pros: — kids friendly and casual. All kinds of people there: couples, families, business men women. — food is good, tasty. Generous portions. Great choices. — good service — calories indicated on menu(it is awesome) — and the best: 7 min order express lunch option for $ 7 that you can eat there. Sooooo great when you have impatient hungry toddlers!!! Lunch is free if it took more than 7 min to bring ha-ha). They have same express option for dinner. — they have brunch on WE. And their menu looked good as well.

Came here cuz my man had some random cravings for the rosemary herb bread and baLsamic. I came for the free meaL and the doodLing on the tabLes. Been here a few times and I’ve never Left this joint satisfied or in awe. The compLimentary rosemary bread is aLways the highLight on my visits here. Combine that carby goodness with oLive oiL & baLsamic = H E A V E N!!! We ordered: –Warm Spinach and Shrimp SaLad + added ScaLLops for an extra $ 7 –Medium Rare CaLabrese Steak: hand seasoned, griLLed sirLoin with rosemary infused oLive oiL. –Pasta MiLano: farfaLLe pasta with roasted chicken, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms &SUBSTITUTED the garLic cream sauce for marinara. Salad was good but how difficuLt is it to mess up that? The steak was good. Cooked to bLoody perfection! Pasta MiLano was a HUGE Letdown. The pLate came out aLmost Looking watery. I requested for EXTRA sundried tomatoes and I couLdn’t find a singLe piece. WompWompWomp. This pLace isn’t on my List of favorite eateries for a reason. It’s just MEH– nothing more, nothing Less.

I love their sausages! I love having sausage with my pasta, so I ordered the Italian bake which has sausage & meatballs in red sauce. The sauce was a bit too salty for my taste, however it was still very good. My boyfriend had the«create your own pasta», with the Alfredo sauce & I think his sauce was a lot better than mine. The bread was mediocre, I was hoping it would be more chewy than«crumbley». Red house wine is delicious Service was attentive, overall 4 stars

When we arrived at this place around 5:30 p.m., there were not many people. So I expected that the food would be not good. However, it turned out that I was pretty satisfied. I don’t like to wait for food for a long time. In that regard, this place was perfect. They continuously fed us several kinds of bread. Then I had fresh green salad, big shrimp pasta, and lemon cake. Especially the pasta was great. The service was good as well. Because this restaurant is huge, it is good for a big group.

Does the job of an Italian food craving without being authentically Italian. I feel like the quality has gone down since the last time I was here. But 4 stars for their fresh warm bread with olive oil, pepper, and balsamic and the nice service. 3.5 stars for their new«honor system» on the wine by pouring you a big glass(and I mean normal glass, not wine glass), and leaving the bottle on the table. You’re able to tally another on the paper table top if you choose to have more. Good marketing tactic, but also risky. The house red wasn’t anything special though, but if it comes in large quantities(1.5L bottles), makes sense. 2.5−3 stars for the food — the lasagna could have been better. Overall it wasn’t moist and gooey like lasagna should be, it was lukewarm and didn’t seem thoroughly cooked. The spinach ricotta dish my boyfriend had was overly saucey and overpowered the pasta portion. My sister’s healthier option of angel hair pasta and chicken was too bland — didn’t seem like enough spices were added. If the service wasn’t great, I’d be disappointed by the food. But otherwise, it’s still comparable with Olive Garden for that Americanized touch on Italian food.

Oh, how empires crumble to dust with the ages. When I was a teenager, this was the place to eat at. Long wait times, and nary an empty table. How the times have changed. I haven’t been here in nearly half a decade, even though it is relatively close. Not sure why, but the dice just happened to roll in a direction on the other spectrum of Macaroni grill. To be fair, I did try to go to the one in Dublin, only to find out it had closed. Still, a friend hosted his birthday dinner here, so I found myself here. Practically empty on a Friday night is never a good sign. No wait. The hostess was nice, and the servers really were great, so no complaints there. They have however, drastically changed their menu and in my opinion, not for the better. Either my taste buds have enhanced since the last time I was here, or the food has gone downhill, but it just didn’t do it for me. Everything was somewhat bland. Not horrible, but not special either. However, their trademark bread is still good. That is it. I’m pretty thankful for that. Not the best Italian food you’ll have, but not the worst.
