One of the many stops on my phở adventures. It’s cheap, delicious, and opens late. I generally love phở, it usually satisfies my empty stomach, so with some rare exceptions, I would usually give four stars to all the phở places I’ve been to(Not much help right?). However the one thing that is different about this place is how late it opens until. Sometimes a girl just have to have phở in the middle of the night, or after a long trip from Yosemite, or watched a movie etc. Bottom line: If you have plenty of phở options and don’t live particularly close to this place, don’t come out of your way to enjoy it. Chances are there is a phở place that is closer to your home. If you are craving phở in the middle of the night, do come. You will definitely have happy dreams :)

Came here by accident. Ordered no.1 the most popular phở in all Vietnamese place and salty plum soda Phở — Phở was good and in good size. Even I ordered small and it was good amount for a girl Salty Plum soda — my personal fave — if you never try you never know simple sour plum, plus salt, plus soda could generate coolest feeling in Summer. I must say this drink is not only availabe in this restaurant but I was so glad they have that.

I ordered the chicken wings as an appetizer and asked for them to be «extra spicy.» The wings were in no way extra spicy, or even flavorful at all. It didn’t look like the wings were even put into any type of sauce at all. We also ordered 2 bowls of noodle soup. My friend had the Phở Tai, Nam and did not enjoy her soup at all. I had the Phở Tai and didn’t think it was the greatest, but it also wasn’t the worst.

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to write a review but I love this place! This is the best place to go to between 1−3am haha. I don’t know why you’d ever go to Phở Mai when this place is across the street! I’m sorry but Phở Mai is shit. I love their phở ap chao beef! The rice noodles are so crispy! Yum :). My bf usually gets the com thit nuong, idk what they marinade the meat with but it’s bomb! Also we usually always get the banh bot chien, it can’t fail! Love that this place closes so late and the owner is super nice!

They renovated and I swear I was super sad cause I thought this place closed down. I came back yesterday to have some phở since it’s my go to when I’m in San Jose. Looking around I saw a poster that said they have phở duoi bo(oxtail)!! And of course I had to get myself that. The broth is different than before they renovated. Not sure if they have a be cool even though it’s the same owner. Only got one 1 piece of oxtail and 3 other pieces of meat. 3 stars because the broth tasted different than it used to and they didn’t really give me oxtail except for one tiny piece.

Phở Saigon Noodle House came to my attention via a breakup of the partnership. New Phở Saigon(1770 Clear Lake) is the other enttty. Phở Saigon was sparsely attended 9ish. décor old. seating functional. not tightly spaced. 2 flatscreens working. typical Vietnames menu without esoteric items except Bun Bo Hue. pricing relatively inexpensive. eats: Phở Tai Gan(7.25 L) –really hot broth, sweet and above average beefy broth –7ish pieces of gan/tai. gan tender, tai chewy, noodles just right. –didn’t come out instantly, some prep time involved(5 – 10 minutes) actually a good sign, phở usually taste better when more prep involved. –slight msg aftertaste, not everlasting, effects gone after 30 minutes… 3.75 stars take outs: –inexpensive compared to new eateries, good value –some msg usuage, per usual, no service after getting food –order taker same as cashier, probably related to ownership. –lots of parking, opens till 2 a.m. weekdaays.

Our favorite Phở spot around the South Bay. Recently changed owners but the food is still great. My wife and I typically get the rare steak and meatball Phở and share the Phở Ap Chao which is a fried phở with stir fried vegetables and chicken. Very good spot for late nights after drinking.

This place is nasty. They cut their mint leaves on NEWSPAPER. They also put all their sauce caps and other stuff on newspaper, which is NOTCLEAN. The phở here made my friend throw up and made me not have a fun time in the bathroom. Do not eat here. It’s disgusting.

5th time here with the cashier sneaking in an extra«accidental» charge of $ 2. Refuses to give a receipt to prove the charges. Raises the price and changes the amount of food given. Complained about the single piece of meat I received and she says it’s enough. Ownership of this place has been split and the partner leaving is opening New Phở Saigon down the street and swears this place will soon be out of business. New place has the original cook so look out for it. Since the original chef left, don’t expect the food to be the same. Check out new phở saigon down the street with the original chef. Prices are much more reasonable and food tastes great.

A group of friends and I came here around 12:15am after a long drive coming back from the Justin Bieber concert!(I was screaming with all the little girls there but no shame) We were absolutely starving since most of my friends and I didn’t eat dinner because we knew about the ridiculous Oakland traffic. They remodeled everything and it looks better from what I remember! A lot cleaner too. 2 of my friends ordered phở while my other friend and I ordered hu tieu. It was decent. So much better than Phở Mai(which too be honest I’m surprised hasn’t gotten shut down yet, it’s disgusting). One of the better places I would go for late night munchies!

Great place to go eat if you have the late night munchies. Their phở is alright but I always order their mi xao gion either beef or seafood. I like how the crispy noodles taste, and that they don’t drown the crispy noodles in sauce. Service is whatever but food is good.

Pretty stoked this place is back. Clean, fresh new look with the same great tasting food. Ordered my usual, a small #3 with a side of eggrolls. Delicious. Thank God this place opened back up. Can’t stand Phở Mai.

Phở Saigon is back! Thank the heavens! They’re in the middle of remodeling, but it already looks cleaner. The menu and prices are the same as they were before they closed.

After a few weeks, this place has reopened after remodeling its dining room! Looks more spacious without the dark colors. Prices and taste has not changed.

After a late night of flying into my hometown, swirls, downtown Campbell, and blowfish… Phở Saigon is the spot that will hit that drunk munchie at 2(they close at 3… finally some Vietnamese people got smart about their hours and decided to open late!) Unfortunately, I wasn’t drunk enough to know that there was a shit ton MSG and that they sting you on the tripe as well… but you know, good for like $ 5 – 6 bucks late night meal before passing out. The broth was pretty good though, SD has nothing on the Bay Area though, so this phở beats most. I bet you in the day time this would taste bomb as well. I wanted more after that drunk munchie but got the numbs from MSG… next time saigon, next time. Come here for late night Phở.
