Julie — the owner has been cutting hair for 18 years now and is polite and is good at her job. I liked my haircut. My father got hair cut from her subordinate — Lunn, who speaks only Vietnamese. He really loved her attention to detail and the amount of time she spent on him. Will definitely come back again.

Came here because I was kind of desperate for a haircut… sad to day this wasnt the best cut I got. She was very nice, but didnt take any time to do anything. I had to go elsewhere to fix my hair. Every time I go to a cheap place I have to end up spending more… too bad my regular hair dresser was not working that day.

My girlfriend is very Very finicky about her hair, loves to just drop in, and always wants to find the most convenient local stylist. Well, we can walk to Krystal Design from home, so it doesn’t get any better than this. Oh Wait, it does: Julie will cut & style your hair just the way you want it. She listens to all of your details, and she figures it all out in between the lines. My girlfriend frets and frets every time, and every time, Julie comes to the rescue. If you live or work in Milpitas, or driving thru, and need the very best haircut at the very best price, see Julie today!

The only reason why I have been here more than once is because they are right by my house, and you can walk-in without an appointment. This place has some major cons: — Untidy, unclean, filthy environment — Poor customer service(Once she skipped the massage during my pedicure saying it was too late for her. If that is the case, tell me BEFORE I sign up for the pedicure!) — Poor quality of service(The girls that work here don’t seem to like the caretaker/owner of the salon and I wonder how can one expect good service when the employees don’t enjoy their job, and/or dislike their boss)

Love this salon. The owner here is so sweet. Always calling everyone«Dear». I’m a natural black and I decided to go blonde. I came here to get it done. Julie helped me out. Decided the better color to go and gave her honest opinion, even when it was bad. She is a sweetheart and her co worker she is so sweet too. She does eyebrows pretty good. Looking for a cheap place and for a quick cut, Krystal’s is the place to go. I’ve gotten my nails done here twice, nothing special, but they did a good job. Plus it was $ 20. Can’t beat it.

There was a BAD lady called JULIE(supposed to be manager), she screwed up my 8 year old hair cut and when told to correct it, she asked us to leave the shop or she would call the police, she was so horrible . I have filed a complain in BBB and working on it. Never go here, though it sounds $ 8.00 hair cut, they don’t know how to talk or treat the customers. The place isn’t very well kept and very dirty. They screwed up my daughter’s bangs. I wouldn’t recommend. My wife had to redo the the haircut at home. ITIS A VERYUNSANITARYPLACE.

I needed an emergency manicure and decided to give this place a shot since my regular manicurist wasn’t available. The place isn’t well kept. There was dust and hair everywhere. that I kept sneezing. I did the shellac gel nails and it turned out really good for a french tip considering my nails were so short( ). While I was getting my nails done. Julie convinced me to get my hair cut. I succumbed to it since my bangs did grow out and I needed them trimmed. I needed my hair shampooed and was so grossed out to place my neck and head in their sink tub. But I gave in. She also criticized my previous hair stylist saying that she cut my hair crooked. Anyhow, I put up with all of that and went thru my day. That night, as I was combing my hair out, I noticed she cut my bangs crookedly. Well done! Especially after she had criticized how my previous hair stylist did a lousy job… which in my opinion she didn’t. To add to that disappointment, my shellac nail polish chipped off on one nail. after ONE day. when they advertise that it will last for 2 – 3 weeks. I went back the next day and they fixed it but I think I’d rather go to my regular manicurist and hair stylist.

Haircut Review: Facilities: small, cluttered, and UNSANITARY. She told me to sit in a chair where she had just finished cutting someone else’s hair before she cleaned up. Only when I refused did she then clean it. There was nothing separating soiled tools from unsoiled tools. I saw that this was also done for someone who was getting a manicure the same time. disgusting. Staff: Unprofessional and does not listen Price: Supposed discount if paid with cash. I would have said reasonable if they had stuck to what was quoted. My friend called in to ask how much a specific cut was and was quoted $ 15. When I saw their pricing in store it said $ 12. and when I paid, they said $ 20. Quality of cut: I would have said decent HOWEVER because she refused to listen to what I had to say about my hair type specifically, it turned out terrible. Now I’m waiting for it to grow out. Overall: I could have gotten a better cut for half the cost from an amateur. Which I would rather do than to return here again. I’m not sure how this place got four stars but I would receive none from me if possible.

I’ve been getting my haircuts here for a year, finally getting around to writing this review. Julie does a great job and for $ 9 only, it’s a steal. Most other places I’ve been to charged $ 15 – 25 and the quality isn’t comparable. I’ve also recommended a co-worker here and he’s now a regular too.

Got my haircut here during the lunch hour. For the price, the haircut was quick and clean. Only took less than 30 minutes total. Although the lady cut my hair a bit shorter than I wanted, the haircut was still good and I was satisfied. I’ll probably come back in the future.

I always come here whenever i need to take stress away and get my hair touched up. Julie the stylist has to be one of the most easy to talk to hair stylists i have ever met. Its pretty clean inside and tidy not compared to other places that happen to have 3 hour old hair on the floor… I remember going somewhere else to get my hair straightened and they fried my hair! so i went here to see what julie could do to help me out through these difficult times and she gave me a hair treatment for like around 20 $ my hair felt a lot silkier and it was for a great price! other places they would charge a good 30 and up for a hair treatment but since i’ve been coming here for like 3 or 4 years now i wouldn’t want to go anywhere else to get my hair done. the nails part is a little iffy but if you really want your hair done right i really recommend you come here!!!

May be good for haircuts but absolutely horrible for nails! I went last night to have fills done because they are right across the street from home and she messed them up horribly! She was too rushed to begin with, squeezing me between two hair appointments, and because of her rush picked up the wrong bottle of UV coat and applied it. It DIDNOT dry! I was there for 2 hours trying to get them fixed. She was very apologetic, but when all was said and done, they looked awful. I ended up going to another nail salon near work today to have it fixed

Parking: Ample Service: Actual cut is quick, but didn’t honor my appointment Price: Inexpensive I went here because it got high Unilocal reviews and is close to work. Plus my usual hairstylist’s Unilocal reviews were on the decline. I asked for a 5:15PM appointment and left work on time to get there at 5:15. Julie was working on a customer, saw me come in, asked me to wait. After she was done with that customer she served another customer that was already sitting there when I came in. I just felt that she should’ve honored her appointment time — if that guy came in expecting to be next in line she should’ve told him that she had an appointment at 5:15 so he would be after me. Anyway, I waited for about 30 minutes. Granted, once she started cutting my hair it took literally 30 minutes to complete, but I was already slightly annoyed that I had to wait. She does a good job, nevertheless. Extremely friendly and listens to what you want and checks with you throughout the haircut to see if you like it. In the end, I think she took too much off my bangs, but it’s always difficult to gauge when your hair is wet. I think in 2 – 3 weeks when the bangs grow out it should be perfect! I came out paying $ 15 for the female cut, $ 5 for the shampoo.

My bro told me to check out this place couple years back, and I am stuck with it ever since. The haircut is great, inexpensive, and the lady who cut hair(Julie) is a very nice. It’s close to work, perfect for sneaking out of work in the afternoon and nap on the chair while getting a haircut :) Among all the inexpensive asian hair salon, Krystal does the best job.

I had a good experience at this hair salon. I was done within 20 minutes! Quite fast! :) The hair salon area was also clean! Didn’t see any hairs on the ground when I entered the place. Prices for haircuts are: Men– $ 9 Women– $ 12 Women w/layers– $ 15-$ 20 Helen was the woman who cut my hair, and she was really nice. She made some chit-chat and did a good job. I asked for shoulder length cut with layers. Helen was opposed to the idea since it doesn’t look right, but I assured her that I’ve had the haircut before. Instead of using scissors, she used a comb that cuts hair. It was a neat tool! It was awesome to see how the layers came about wit this tool, and it gave the haircut a different look. Don’t worry– scissors are used for feathering the hair. You can also get your nails and eyebrows done. This place had quite a few clients enter when I was done. As for paying, bring cash. You need at least $ 20 to charge on the credit card. Otherwise, a $ 1 fee is a processing fee for under $ 20. I paid $ 15 for the haircut and $ 3 tip for a total of $ 18. Not bad for the price. Anyway, I’m pleased with the results. Parking is plentiful. This place is located in the 7 – 11 strip mall off of Dixon Landing Road.

Never got my nails done, but I’ve gotten my hair cut here a few times. The woman that cuts hair is really nice, always calls you ‘my dear.’ I get a fade, so it’s not a complicated haircut. she does it pretty well. The only deceiving part is that there is a big sign on the outside, $ 8 for haircuts, but that price is for kids cuts, adults are $ 9. Not a big deal, but it is a tiny ding and something to be careful about. Also, they only accept credit if the charge is 15 bucks, so sometimes i ended up buying crew gel there when i didn’t have cash.
