What a waste of my time. Seriously. Whoever posted up the pictures of the menu and the food needs to remove them, because this was seriously false advertising. Whatever happened in the last few months sure has changed the menu. They do not have any of the highway or special bentos anymore, nor the katsu, yensue, ext… all they have is basically regular beef, chicken… All they have now are these half-ass excuses of rice plate misery. I’m thinking the old owner may have sold off the business to a couple trashy Asian owners. Oh, the«new» place DOESNOT accept card either. The place is now run by two creepy middle aged men who sit in their empty restaurant behind their cash registers and gossip. So If you’re coming to a place where you want to be disappointed, come here.

I ordered the Pork Katsu bento box with California roll. It was fried to perfection, and having Pepperjack cheese on it rather than Tonkatsu sauce was a unique fusion experience. However, I can’t say the same for the california rolls. They were incredibly bland and disappointing. Overall I think they have some potential, but they need to expand their menu(there were only ~5 meat dishes to choose from).

I’m giving them a 4 out of 5 for potential. The ephemeral mom and pop store that could is what I wish this could be. This is the closest bento place to my work and I would frequent it more if for a few things. *A signature dish. *Something different than what neighbors offer. They are eager to please and want people to taste what they have to offer. The sushi is fresh and tasty but somewhat limited(keep in mind not advertised for sushi). One piece of advice to offer to them. Custom salad dressing. The packet was way too large for the salad portion.
