I got a pound of shrimp and it was not what I expected… I was so disappointed. Honestly, the broth just tastes like salt and spicy water. It was super salty and watery and although I got mild, it was still spicy. I also got their Cajun fries and it was also really spicy!!! Lol!!! Don’t really recommend this place):

I went here a couple weeks ago, my second time, and my boyfriend and I enjoyed it as much as the first time. They provide excellent service, their food is rich in flavor. I really love their atmosphere; sort of reminds me of a huge, comfortable living room. What’s a bonus is, you get to take your drink to go since they provide to go cups with your dine in order ! sweet ! Will be back next time I’m around.

I’m not a fan of Cajun/Creole food, or de-shelling my own shrimp. But I love fun looking drinks and delicious oysters. I was a little put off by how little people were there when we came on a Sunday afternoon. However, the hostess/waitress was super sweet! And the Bloody Bayou I got was beautiful and definitely the most flavorful, spicy bloody mary I have ever had. And the oysters were also pleasantly surprising. Fresh, tasty, and no hint of sand or ice inside them at all. The presentation was also as equally fantastic as the bloody mary. My boyfriend also loved his huge bag of cajun seafood. I like it here a lot, and there are a ton of TVs which are good for watching games there!

The servers here are friendly and cute here! they are very attentive Food tastes just like the one on story rd. ALWAYS fresh crawfish! even when its out of season. you can really tell the difference between frozen and fresh crawfish thats why i love coming to crawdaddy. its a good thing that they opened one on the other side of town so itll be closer to me when im done shopping at gmall. Décor is really nice too.

My first time here was when they first opened a few years back. I did not like it at all. The shrimp was bland, wings were crazy salty, and service was slow. I decided to give them another chance since it was 4 stars on Unilocal and I didn’t understand why. Maybe my previous experience was just a bad night for them. I went back with a friend yesterday and my experience was a tad bit better. I walked in and waited over 5 minutes before I was greeted and seated. It seemed they only had 2 servers for maybe 10 tables and counting. It was overall empty since there was an entire back room that wasn’t used. We ordered pretty quickly after being seated since we knew what we wanted. We ordered a pound of shrimp, 2 corn, 2 sausages, garlic noodles, cajun fries, and 2 beers. The total came out to ~$ 40. The shrimp was in a garlic butter sauce and we chose mild. Mild was an understatement, it was more like normal. There wasn’t much flavor, however, the shrimp was firm and juicy. That made up for the lack of taste. The corn and sausages were normal, not much to say about them. The garlic noodles were too peppery for me and a little too bland. It definitely can’t compare to Kickin’ Crab’s garlic noodles. The cajun fries were thicker than Kickin’ Crab and Boiling Crab’s fries and 10x more spicier. They were alright but I still think Boiling Crab’s fries are way better in texture, flavor, and size. Overall, I think I will come back if I have a craving for cajun seafood and when I don’t feel like waiting in line at Kickin’ Crab, Boiling Crab, or Clawshack. I like how its empty and not packed. But I do think they need more help though!

Pretty good place to get crawfish, there wasn’t a wait or anything when we went! We were seated right away. However they were short staffed so it took ages for our food to come out. They made up for it by giving us a free side of fried shrimp for free(which was super tasty). The fries weren’t hot and it didn’t taste as good as Kickin crab sadly! We came here because we wanted to try a different place and it was a nice experience. Overall the seasoning is really good and it was super spicy also which we love! The sausages tasted super weird though(in a bad way) but we managed. The gumbo wasn’t that great, we didn’t like the taste of it so we ended up dumping out the soup and putting the sauce of the shrimp and crawfish in! It tasted way better after! Overall I would recommend this place if Kickin crab or Boiling point is packed because the wait here is way better!

On the downside, they only have one seasoning: Cajun garlic butter. Upside: mere mild spiciness satisfied my crawfish craving for only red Cajun sauce! It’s less oily than Boiling Crab and I didn’t feel dizzy from the butter. My friend and I arrived at 6pm on Friday night. No wait, around 4 other tables were occupied in the spacious dining area. Multiple TV screens toward the middle. Cool how some tables are high topped with stools. I prefer lower old fashioned ones though. I tend to drop food haha. The waiting area looks more sophisticated than expected for a seafood boil establishment. Service was great! Attentive and genuinely concerned staff: our waiter came around at least three times to ask how we were doing and if we needed anything else. We ordered garlic noodles, 1 lb of mild Cajun garlic butter shrimp with 2 corns, and 1 lb mild crawfish. I didn’t understand the garlic noodle hype until now! This arrived first within 7 min. I loved the drier noodles loaded with minced garlic, lots of black pepper, and maybe even Parmesan? So good I ended up eating over 3⁄5 of the plate I shared with my friend, ok maybe it was 2⁄3! The boiled seafood arrived soon after. Shrimp had perfect texture– not too soft nor firm, just right after de shelling. Gotta dunk it back in the sauce at the bottom of the bag! Crawfish was a bit softer than expected but I was amazed at how easy it was to devein them when pulling off the little end tail piece. Even the shrimp was easy to devein, I didn’t have to use the crawfish claws. I ended up ordering take out at the front counter after we paid the bill. 2 lbs of shrimp with 2 corns and 2 lbs of crawfish. Feast! You bet I’ll be back and it’s so close to Great Mall.

5 stars for not being packed! We walked right in and were seated. I Was so happy not to be told I had to wait for hours like over at Boiling crab. Although the no wait and food was good here, I still favor boiling crabs shabang sauce. But hey give it a try you Wong be disappointed.

Came here on a Thursday night. Our server, Michael, was one of the best servers I have ever had. He made me and my friends’ dining experience one of the best I have ever had. Would definitely come here again and request him. The food was good. Comparable to boiling crab. However it was much less crowded and the environment was much better. I’ll definitely come back here.

We went yesterday at around 9:00 pm. It was empty, which is great because we were not going to wait if there was a line. I love Hang Ten Boiler in Alameda, so of course since it is the same type of style I compared the two. We decided just to try things so we only ordered a pound of crawdads and garlic noodles. It did not hit the spot. The noodles tasted a bit artificial and to help add to the flavor I asked for Sriracha, but they do not carry it. The crawdads did not really have much flavor. The two stars is for the service! Which was very attentive and quick.

The biggest clams, shrimps, and crawfishes. I like how the sauce is less oily but still full of flavor. The spice level is higher so mild is good enough for me. Medium spicy will give me the runs. I like the Bloody Mary drink here too. Nice and spacious.

We came to this place since Boiling Crab was too long of a wait for a Friday night. We get here and the wait was around 20 – 25 minutes long, which seems about average. There were several open tables that they could’ve seated us, but I guess since it was closer to closing time and they didn’t want to open those areas. But the place in general wasn’t too busy at all. Once we were seated, it took them a really long time to come back and take our order, there was no specific waiter/waitress to go to. After we ordered, it took them really long to bring our food, which was only shrimp and cajun fries. It took 30 minutes for them to bring out the cajun fries and another 10 – 15 minutes to bring out the shrimp. Let’s be honest here… we all know the shrimp is pre-cooked and the fries are frozen, which should take no longer then 10 minutes to fry. And I’m pretty sure the sauces are in a large pot simmering on the heat. Like I mentioned before, they were not busy… so I don’t know why it took so long for them to serve the food. The look of the food alone was disappointing. We all can agree Boiling Crab has the best cajun fries. And that statement remains true. The cajun fries here suck! They’re thick cut fries with sprinkles of cajun… They were plain and had no flavor at all. Not even salted. Not worth the $ 5/basket. The lady also seemed very stingy with the ketchup. Normally a bottle of ketchup is left at the table so we wouldn’t have to keep bothering them for more. They give you ketchup in the small containers per person. We asked for more and she says rudely«How many do you need???» She seemed hesitant to give us more like ketchup was a delicacy or something. Once we got our shrimp it looked good, I’ll give it that. But don’t forget, looks can be deceiving. The sauce was pretty much watered down and had no flavor either, and the shrimp was over-cooked. It was extremely hard to peel off, the skin was stuck to the meat. During our meal, they NEVER came back to check on how we were or re-filled our waters like they did with the tables around us. It felt like we were foreigners and were treated with no respect. When we finished, it again took them a long time to bring the bill to us. You can clearly tell when a table is done eating… especially at a place like this. I tried to make eye contact with someone, but no one cared to look at our table when they walked by. I’m not going to raise my hand like I’m in school… I guess they didn’t want to be paid for the meal? It’s not like they were busy. After waiting for too long I stood up and walked to the lady and asked for my bill and pointed at the table I was sitting at. I honestly don’t know how this place got 4 stars… I’m really shocked. We’re never coming back to this place, nor will I ever recommend this place to a friend. They didn’t even deserve any tip. My actual tip for them would be to learn how to provide better service to your customers.

We figured Boiling Crab would have a long wait, so went for Kickin Crab instead. Turns out they had a long wait too, so we ended up here. Upon first impression, this isn’t the most inviting place. It looks upscale yet also unfinished, somehow. The bathrooms, especially the extremely strange soap, could use some work. Beyond that, the service was great and the food was fresh and mostly delicious. We had shrimp(1lb), clams(1lb), one crab(2−3lb), garlic noodles(2 orders), corn(4 little cobs), sausage(4 little segments — I would skip this in the future), chicken tenders and fries. Very filling for 4 people — we barely made it through. Expect higher prices than Kickin Crab but probably similar to Boiling Crab. The sauce here is less oily than Boiling Crab, but still packs good flavor. I had previously bookmarked this place for the Bloody Bayou. It wasn’t horrible, just nothing special.

Tried this place out for the first time with my bf on a Sunday night. We were so glad to find out there was no wait like most places. We were seated right away in their quiet, spacious atmosphere, which I really enjoyed. We ordered their butter garlic shrimp with no spice, and it being my first time, I honestly thought the shrimp would have no flavor because of how it looked. I was wrong! Compared to kickin crab and boiling crab, this place is definitely more on the lighter side. It’s not too salty or oily. It’s just the right amount of flavor of butter and garlic for me. The way the shrimp is cooked is just right. We also ordered cajun fries and they were way too spicy for us! So we asked if we could make a switch to regular fries with cajun seasoning on the side, and our server gladly did that for us. We really appreciated that! With that being said, we enjoyed their service– Seated right away, got our order down, and got our food in less than 10 minutes. Our server was attentive and nice, checked up on us a good amount of times and made sure our food was just how we liked it. Will definitely be coming back here! :)

–Came on a short staffed night– The crawfish is always fresh and the shrimp is never a let down. Did ask for 2 orders of white rice, which never came. We did ask for it to be canceled but still made it onto our bill. The waiter was very apologetic with the craziness. This location is way bigger than the Story one and I felt like we were eating in the dark the lights were too dim. The bathroom had only one functioning sink with no more paper towels. I do recommend but maybe when they’re adequately staffed.

I came here on a Saturday night because boiling crab had a wait, and there was no wait here. I’ve been here a few times and I like how the tables are nicely spaced apart and there are many TVs here to watch the game. We got the cajun garlic butter shrimp, cajun garlic butter clams, fries, and garlic noodles. Their seasoning for the shrimp and clams are different from boiling crabs– more watery. It seemed like there wouldn’t be much taste to it, but I was wrong. It was still very tasteful and mild was enough spicyness for me. I actually enjoyed the quality of their seafood more. Their shrimp and clams seem bigger and tastes like it’s better quality. I wish there was a strong cajun taste, though. The garlic noodles are actually very good, I think I actually like it better than kickin crab’s garlic noodles because it’s less oily here. However, they do give a smaller per order here. The fries are okay, definitely needs more seasoning. I enjoy the quiet atmosphere of this restaurant. Not having to wait for a table and the quality of their seafood will keep me coming back!

This is officially my favorite Crawdaddy location. I was very amazed by how big the place was, it was super spacious and clean with plenty of TV’s playing different games/channels. Originally, I wanted to go to Claw Shack, but I was really hungry and didn’t want to wait 45 minutes to be seated, so I opted to go here instead, and i’m glad that I did! I ordered the oysters, shrimp, & hand battered catfish & fries. The oysters were so yummy, it was nice and cold, and the oysters tasted super fresh! Ugh, I am drooling right now just thinking about it. I had the medium spicy garlic butter shrimp, and the bag came out with the shrimp still boiling hot. Their sauces are a bit more spicy compared to most cajun seafood places, so definitely beware that«medium» really means«hot». Now, do not even get me started with their hand battered catfish and fries. their battered catfish were huge and it was so tasty! Crunchy batter on the outside, soft catfish on the inside, mMmm. Overall, I had a really great experience here and the service was great! DEFINITELY try their battered catfish & fries, it’s huge and so delicious!

I’ve been frequenting Crawdaddy for crawfish lately(despite my more recent visits to other places) because of the location. This review might completely give away my new favorite place because it’s literally a hidden gem. Hidden in the corner of a plaza that’s barely lit up by a street lamp and store lights(yes, if the 3 parking lights went out it’d be pitch dark) is the Milpitas location of Crawdaddy. Most people I know only go to the San Jose location … and they like it because it doesn’t get crowded like BC. On good days/nights, they will have a full house and this is exactly why I’d rather go the distance to Milpitas. It’s maybe 3x bigger than the SJ location! With booths, benches, and tables… most of the SJ menu(no garlic noodles last I checked) and the same amount of servers as SJ. BUTHERE’S THEKICKER, if you go before rush hour, you get all of their attention because most people don’t realize this place exists. in that plaza. The spiciness levels have been somewhat inconsistent the last few visits. give or take half a level of spices. Medium can taste sort of mild, medium, or sort of spicy but it’s not so crazy that you would go crazy from the difference. What I love about this place is they don’t make the crawfish taste like it’s only butter & spices like a lot of other places do. Maybe it’s because they already mastered their recipe from the other location but it’s still appreciated.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and since our usual crawfish places only had frozen crawfish we decided to come here. The interior was clean, trendy, and very spacious. The staff was super friendly, especially our waitress. Food was decent, but the sauce of the crawfish was a bit light. I still prefer the sauces from Kickin Crab and Clawshack. Crawfish — cooked perfectly, but sauce was ok Chicken wings — crunchy and juicy inside, but no gastrique. Came with ranch. Fried oysters — very good. Perfect crisp and not over cooked. Came with a cocktail sauce. Fried fish with Cajun fries — my daughter loved the fish. Large portion. Came with 4 large pieces of fish and tons of fries. Worth every penny. We will definitely come back for the fried oysters and fried fish dish, but probably not for the crawfish since the sauce was not to our liking. It would be great if they had more sauce choices.

I love this new location! It’s huge, clean, and has big TVs everywhere! Great place to watch sports games with delicious spicy food and a full bar. Their bathroom was clean as hell, too. My double vodka tonic only cost $ 10. Extra spicy on my shrimp and clams were no joke. I approve! I will definitely be back. It’s going to be my go-to place to watch Warriors games!
