A Personal Thing

These guys are awesome, fast, and cheap. Not many other locksmiths in the area were able to do laser cutting and programming for replacement key for my 2010 Acura TSX. Brought an uncut key purchased from E-​Bay, and these guys did it on the spot for a third of what the dealers wanted. They were also significantly cheaper than a lot of the other mobile auto guys who were able to do laser cutting too. Highly recommend. Make sure to bring ALL of your keys. They said weekdays might be best FYI.

Walked the whole mall to find this place when I got there I asked the guy if he could make a copy of my key he didn’t even look right at the key I have didn’t even looked interested so I just went to another place.

Thank you Jack and Dex for being so patient and taking the time to reprogram the keys for my daughter’s Toyota Yaris. I know it was frustrating, especially for Dex, to program. Who knew Toyota capped the number of keys available at five? But I’m grateful you were able to work at it and get all our keys working!
I highly recommend anyone needing car keys, especially if equipped with immobilizers, to check out their stand at the Great Mall. They’re right down the aisle from Victoria’s Secret, across from the Express store and restrooms.

Found this place in Unilocal as needed a new transponder key cut. Wasn’t sure where in great mall they were but entered in back and headed right.
Sure enough between Burlington Coat factory and Victoria Secrets was the booth. Cut, paid $ 45 and out in 5mins. Works like a champ! I’ll be going back if needed!

If you have a late model car, it probably uses transponder keys, which means that if you need to replace a key, you cannot simply have one re-​cut. You will need to have it PROGRAMMED in addition to re-​cut.
I have been going to this place for the past several years for replacements because they DO THE JOB FOR LESS THAN HALF WHAT DEALERS AND LOCKSMITHS WILL CHARGE.
I also appreciate that THEY TAKE THE TIME TO MAKE SURE KEYS WORK. I was there recently and failed to bring in both of the keys for my daughter’s car (we needed a third b/​c she lives away at school and lost her backup key and we keep a 3^rd at home ‘just in case’). The guy (think it was Paul) warned me that all 3 keys might not work but not to worry b/​c if not I could simply come back and he’d make sure they all worked… which is exactly what happened. Came back next day with the 3 keys and he quickly reprogrammed all 3 NO QUESTIONS ASKED, NO WHINING, NO EXTRA CHARGE, NO BS.
OK, this is a booth, in a busy mall. They get busy some time and you may need to wait 10 or 15 minutes and it’s noisy and there is no waiting room. If you need more pleasant surroundings and ‘royal’ treatment GO THE DEALER, open your wallet and pay hundreds more. I’ll stick with these guys and hope they stick around for many years to come.

I prefer to give my custom to small businesses instead of the big guys, however, am totally appalled by the guy manning the stsll. Arrived 15 minutes after opening time to see someone sitting at the bench eating. I waited in clear vision for 10 minutes during ehich I was ignored. When I asked if he is the owner he told me «I’m eating go walk around» I’m really surprised, howabout ill be there in a few minutes? Clearly they don’t need my money so off to Home Depot.
The one star is for previous experiences

I was looking to have a 2^nd key made, as a spare key, once I found out how much it cost from the dealer, I was shocked! about $ 180.00 for a Honda civic key cut and programmed.
after I did some research, I ended up bought a key from ebay for $ 10.00 and having these guy programmed it for me for $ 50.00
total cost $ 60.00
the key stand owner was super nice, Knowledgeable and professorial, I was in and out in 30 minutes.
after that, I had my Toyota Camry key done as well, cut and programmed.
I would highly recommend these guys to cut and program car keys versus dealership.

This place wasn’t jam packed but very busy with the few customers requiring assistance to get their keys cut.

It’s really convenient to have a key and locksmith nearby. For those people who need spare house keys made or fob keys for their cars, it’s great. If you buy a fob key, cutting and programming is included.
