I’ve been shopping here since I needed Halloween costumes and dress up clothes for high school powderpuff games; however, the quality of the items I find has quickly deteriorated over time. Although this particular location has moved and expanded, the items they carry are not items people seem to want. They have racks and racks of clothing that a handful of people sift through, but no one buys although they all have empty carts at the ready. Usually I leave empty handed now, so I don’t really find this place worthwhile, no matter how many chances I give it!

Okay, I know it’s all used stuff in here. Back when it was around the corner, I donated some stuff to them. I’ve been in here a couple times trying to get some inspiration for Halloween costumes. I struck out each time. There are lots of clothes, but I guess I am too picky for them. Their other things are not priced for my wallet, so no deals for me. It’s a thrift shop, not retail. Oh well. .. I don’t doubt one can find something here, it’s just as of yet, it hasn’t been me.

I used to love Goodwill, but over the years Goodwill has gotten kinda… full of itself. Like, when they get something that’s so ugly that it’s cool, they’re saavy enough to know it and charge for it now. They’ve taken all the fun out of thrifting. And they’re snobby enough to throw away THOUSANDS of pounds of damaged and stained clothing(I’ve watched them do it). Umm… hello??? But some of that stuff is salvageable with elbow grease or creative sewing. A lot of items they used to take they won’t even accept anymore. I’ve given up donating to them because it bums me out thinking how much good stuff they trash. I also get pissed that they charge as much for their USED clothes that I could go buy NEW stuff on sale at the local discount stores. What’s with that? Still a good place to shop, but don’t look for a deal.
