Delicious Mexican food! The only con is the small size of the restaurant so sometimes the wait is too long.. I recommend reservations.

The best Mexican I have ever had hands down. Service is on point, food is authentic, home made and delicious. We are regulars here for a reason.

This place is amazing! Go here order the guac and tacos of your chhoosing, be happy. Seriously try one of everything at least once. Not all at once, you’ll be back.

Excellent Mexican Food! Had the Horchata(cinnamon milky drink) and my wife had the Cucumber Juice and they were both amazing — highly recommend them. We also had the fajitas and they were delicious. Extremely kind and attentive staff. We’ll be back!

The food was amazing from the appetizers all the way to thr desert. My friend and I came in and didn’t have a reservation but they sat us almost immediately on a Sunday night. We ordered the guacamole and it was served tableside, you could customise the guacamole however you would like. The two different salsas were delicious and we asked for more of the chips and salsa verde. Service was a little slow but they were very nice and professional. Definitely going to come back and bring more people next time!

Great authentic Mexican cuisine with good service at decent prices. Minor point deduction for the space(which is fine, just nothing too fancy), but almost certainly the most authentic Mexican restuarant in the area!

Visited twice in one week after my first visit. This is the best I’ve had since actually visiting Mexico on my honeymoon. The gauc was great, chips are so authentic and Mexican coffee is to die for. My first entrée was fish tacos– great taste but not enough fish for me. My second visit I got the seafood fajitas and they were absolutely amazing. My husband said the burrito was great as well. Reservations are a must(a Monday was as busy as a Friday with people waiting for a table throughout most of our meal) and I really hope they expand as they continue to get more and more popular because this place is very small. Overall great local food options which is just what we need around here. PS– byob and they’ll make margs if you bring the tequila!

Amazing Mexican food! The sopas and carnitas are ridiculous! And make sure to get their guacamole… It’s the stuff dreams are made of!

Five stars for the food, three stars for the mediocre service during the busy lunch hour(they need more staff), and one star for the pricing. Food is delicious! Quite a variety of items you don’t usually see on other Mexican restaurant menus. Ordered a Coke for $ 3.00 and it came out in a glass bottle, already opened. If I had known it was a bottle of Coke(no refills), I would not have ordered it. The menu needs to read«bottle of soda pop» or something similar to indicate this. I wanted to try their namesake Guacamole so I ordered a side for $ 2.50. It was a little metal condiment cup of Guac, I’d be surprised if it totaled more than two ounces. I ordered the three steak tacos for $ 8.00 and they did not come with any sides, so I ordered a side of rice for $ 3.00. The rice was flavorful, but small. Oh, I also had to pay $ 0.99 for cheese and sour cream. Bottom line, while the food is delicious, the a-la-carte pricing on accoutrements(sides) really detracts from the overall enjoyment of this place. I suggest adding a scoop of Guac and some sour cream and cheese on the side with each order of steak tacos and include rice or beans. These shouldn’t be extra. Just adjust the prices accordingly. And do something about disclosing that it’s $ 3.00 for a small glass bottle of Coke, so the customer knows what they are ordering.

Guacamole was a nice experience we went on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty busy and I think that it took away from our service. I think our waiter did a good job the guacamole was top notch and they make it right in front of you. We ordered another appetizer with smothered nachos and quesadillas. And we split the Entrée of Steak, shrimp and chicken Fajitas. Everything tasted good but something was missing.

It is small & quaint but delivers exceptionally on FOOD choices & quality. The food is authentic Mexican & well presented and flavored. You walk in off the main street which is currently trying to get revitalized(doing a good job but city is definitely dragging its feet) and enter this small restaurant with about 50 seats, maybe less. The tables are tight but placed well as can be and offer a decent amount of privacy. It is very colorful décor and extremely friendly & accommodating at all times. It is obvious that it is family run & owned and the service reflects the fact that they care about their guest. We have tried several items and they are all flavored and spiced well. The prices are middle range and it is BYOB. A Great spot to go in & get some really good mexican/spanish food surrounded by a nice friendly atmosphere.

I almost didn’t even want to post this because this place is so good and the service is so amazing that I don’t want everyone to find out about it! It was so good we came in for dinner on Saturday and then again for lunch on Monday. The guacamole is amazing and they make it right at the table. Chips and salsa were also boss, and I am quite the connoisseur! Everyone in our party loved their meals and even though we were all stuffed, we ordered dessert because we couldn’t stop eating! You can even byo tequila for margaritas! Our waiter, Antonio, even gave us a little cultural lesson on Dia de los muertos and we were given complimentary rice pudding for the occasion. This is my new favorite restaurant!

We have eaten here a ton and the experience is always great. Food quality is top notch authentic. Service is attentive and friendly. Prices are reasonable and it is byob. Mole sauce is great. This place is a winner.

The food was fresh, which is why it took a bit longer than usual to get our food. It was worth the wait. The chef came out to speak with us and let us sample their customer favorite Mole. The food was delicious and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. The waiter was very handsome and courteous. Would love to come every week but since I live far, I will try to come as soon as possible. I highly recommend this place.

We’re still undecided about this place. It should be our kind of place. We like Mexican, we like new places, we like stuff in our town. However, the two times we have had food from here we were left unimpressed. The nachos were lacking we thought. My wife’s taco salad was disappointing. It was a taco shell(expected) with a garden salad inside. That’s not typically what a taco salad is. I had quesadillas. They were nothing to look at. They tasted okay, but it wasn’t something I would return to have. I am sure we will try this place again, but we need it to deliver a good meal for us this time.

Average Amerexican food for NJ. The restaurant has endured a sea change of different places coming and going in downtown Millville but remains a stalwart. Starting with the appetizer: The chips themselves were just fine, though I doubt they are made here(didn’t taste fresh). The salsa portions were tiny. The red salsa has no heat but a delicate, deep flavor that is really quite good. But you’ll run out after about 7 chips, and it’s too watery to hold much. The green salsa has quite a bit of heat and a simpler flavor. My table liked it, but again it was too watery and the portion was far too small. You can keep asking for more, but they really should bring a somewhat larger bowl in the first place. And then there’s a secret habañero sauce that you have to ask for. It’s their spiciest, and certainly kicks right back at you, but it just tastes like concentrated pepper. You get a very tiny amount of this one. Seriously, are the salsas this expensive that you have to ration them out like salt pork during the War of 1812? The meal: My coworkers both ordered burritos, while I went for a more traditional main course of four flautas. They were small, not particularly packed with food. Decent flavor. They came with a bunch of stuff on top(cheese, avocados, lettuce) and a side of rice on the plate, with beans in a bowl. The most inspired part of this meal was the rice, which had very nice flavor undertones to it. Delicately spiced, vaguely salty-sweet, a robust orange color. Wish there was more of this with the dish, but just an average-sized lump. The beans were also pretty good, and what made them outstanding was adding some of the habañero salsa to jazz them up. Strongly recommended to go with that combo if you can stand a little heat. The burritos were not particularly large. Decent downtown Millville food, but nothing I’d come back for. I also lack perspective on what the other places are like down here. You can definitely do a lot worse.

I love Mexican food and this is a place to visit if you want close Mexican food! It’s not fast food like Chipotles, you can get good food at chipotles but this place is better. Want something quick? Chipotles is a good choice. However, even though I rate it with 5 stars, it’s just an another nice, quality and authentic Mexican restaurant. I’ve had better but its still 5 star worthy. All types of authentic restaurants were great and definately better than any Mexican franchise.

Stumbled upon El Guacamole while in the area for the 24 Hours of LeMons races, and the Millville Air Show. What an amazing surprise! The guacamole is fresh made at your table, the homemade salsas for chips are astounding, and the Horchata is SO delicious! I chose the pulled pork tacos for my entrée, and my friend selected the enchiladas with green sauce. Words cannot describe how delicious!!! For dessert, Paulina(the owner) told us the offerings and gave us a moment to consider. Her very pleasant son Marlon circled back to see if we had decided. We asked him for a recommendation — he suggested the plantains. All I can say is «Wow!!!» Hands down the best I ever had — due to the special touch El Guacamole lends to plantains!!! So this quaint little BYOB was SO good, we went back to El Guacamole the next day! We’re not from the area(over 2 hours away), and we just had to have more since we don’t know when we’ll be back again. If ever back in the area, we will definitely be back to El Guacamole to see Paulina and her lovely family — and to enjoy their amazing menu again!
