After polishing off a pizza from Frank’s before a Kvelertak concert at Mr. Small’s, I noticed a building with a red canopy surrounding it. It was where I’d have a date with… Desire. I walked up to this stand after a long, pleasant stroll that began on 39th and Butler Streets in Lawrenceville. Named Crazy Cones, this seasonal(I assume) snack kiosk sells all manner of frozen treats in addition to hot dogs and such. I saw something on the menu called something along the lines of Chocolate Brownie Desire and became uninterested in everything else for the following 10 minutes. Chocolate soft-serve ice cream became inundated with tiny bricks of brownie, all of it laced with lascivious hot fudge and garnished with whipped cream, becoming that which(witch?) enchants summer nights. While children played and laughed in the warm evening breeze scented by a nearby stream, I ravished… Her, Desire. I played a game of gastro-erotic chess with her, savoring the sugary, the milky, the darkness, the indulgent, all behind a wall to shield innocent eyes. My throat chilled by the speed of dairy-borne lust, I coughed, I burped, I let slip a contented sigh, I headed towards a refurbished church to participate in an electric mass, hoping in vain to wash my soul of this indiscretion…

This place is great to grab a cone, ice cream sandwiches or an ice cream cake! We go there at least once a week– they do offer sugar free and non fat also– The unique thing about this place is that they swirl chopped up candy into their vanilla ice cream(cant with chocolate unfortunately. but CAN do it with their shakes!) My personal favorites are vanilla with Andes Candes or Reese’s pieces– you can also get more than one candy per cone– My fave– milkshake– chocolate with Oreo! Today I opted for their Memorial Day Special– Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae– YUM
