Not impressed by the food or service. Not worth my time to go in to the details. I really wanted to like this place but it didn’t even come close to happening.

I have been to this restaurant about five occassions now and have been very impressed with the quality of food and service each time. The meals have always been very well prepared.

What a gem in such a small town. Right to business: I had the pan seared scallops with wild mushrooms and other veggies. Perfectly seared and cooked. Also had the wild mushroom soup and as other reviews point out it was fabulous. My wife and son had the crab cake. The flavor was good, but the consistency was not. It definitely needs some lump meat to improve it. The décor was simply with art work and historical photos. Cleanliness was spot-on. It is worth a visit. We will definitely go back just to try some of the other items on the menu. The beef Ragu selection almost won my heart to try, but I’m a sucker for scallops. Also take the time to go across the street to check out Old News genealogical and historical shop. Wonderful old books, newspapers, and much more.

Disappointing. I had heard about this place, and read the reviews on Unilocal, and had been wanting to try it for a while. An old friend came down from NYC to visit, and wanted to go out, so we tried Two Tree. We went for lunch at 1:30 on a Friday, and there were 2 or 3 other tables just finishing up and leaving. We ended up being the only ones there. I was craving fish and chips, and my friend wanted crab cakes, since that’s a Maryland thing. The waitress was great — very attentive and friendly, but not lingering at the table. The food came quickly, and we were quite hungry. My fish and chips came with a side of coleslaw, which was good, with a hint of mustard. The fish was pretty bad — some kind of long skinny strips of mushy fish covered in a soft, dense, greasy batter — no texture or crunch to it at all. The fries were OK. My friends crab cakes were bland and mushy, she couldn’t finish them because of this. They were served with rice and coleslaw. All in all it was a great disappointment. I will probably give them another chance — the photos here look so good. I’m still dying for a good fish and chips plate — I’ve tried several places on the Eastern shore, and every one has been mediocre to awful. There are so may seafood restaurants here, you’d think someone could get this simple dish right.

Actually haven’t been in a few months as I have been incredibly busy, but I crave their food daily. This is a quaint place located literally in the middle of nowhere. It isn’t far from our home, but had it not been for a very large sign on the highway I never would have heard of it. Excellent atmosphere and very accommodating to children(difficult to find in nicer restaurants). My favorite dish(if you can pick just one) is the shrimp and grits as I am a southerner and find it difficult to find food from back home. My only complaint is its location. It works for them as they are always busy(reservations highly recommended). I for one wish it was down the street or at least on my way near something. I would frequent it weekly if that were the case. It is so out of the way(not far just off the beaten path) that as a busy individual I need to pass a place of I’m going to have time to stop and pick something up, etc. with that being said pleas add to your bucket list an evening at this restaurant. I’m a better person for having eaten there and you taste buds will not regret it.

Average at best. Crab cakes are«smushed up» meat and very bland. Maybe they are known for something else?

Had a great meal that included a wonderful salad with cheese, berries, apples, and nutes; both the pork chop and the veal chop were great; good sized portions and too stuffed for dessert — service was good and attentive, noise level allowed one to talk, and food came promptly

Exhausted and famished, three of us crossing bucolic farm country along MD301 from a wedding weekend in NC back to LI. Sunday evening, little prospect of finding decent eats, and out of the fog a large sign on the side of the road not far from Millington advertising Two Tree… a mirage or real? We found the modest looking restaurant and felt we had to go in whatever – not another restaurant open in the area. Beautiful interior, well decorated, and warm greeting from a middle aged waitress. We were seated in a dining room with what appeared to be a dozen or so couples, probably local. The menu was the first sign this was an extraordinary place, with an extensive wine menu, and a range of appetizers, soups, entrees, and(on a dessert menu) home made desserts. I ordered the mushroom soup(never reached us, many apologies), a crab cake entrée(delicious, artfully arranged on the plate with rice and broccoli). A member of our party had home made banana cream pie(celestial) and shared it with the others. Since we were driving quite a few miles back to NY, we didn’t sample any of the wines, but finished with espresso well brewed with a lemon peel garnish. This place is outstanding, and we’ll be back on future road trips! I’ll be sure not to be the designated driver so I can sample the tempting wines. Gourmet food in a relaxed, small town setting.

Before I even received my appetizer, I walked in on an elder gentleman using the rest room because of poor bathrooms and lack of door locking abilities. My calamari was left untouched because of this experience. My $ 276oz filet mignon was over cooked and my mash potatoes were served cold lacking the special sauce.

I really have nothing bad to say about what is there. Great food, the pork volcano is wonderful, the oysters are great, the calamari is very good too. I don’t remember having a meal here that I would have anything bad to say about. The atmosphere is good and the service has always been on point. The wine prices and selection and descriptions are great. The wine suggestions with the entrees are welcome and helpful. Two Tree is on a short list of go to’s within a reasonable radius from where we live. Its whats missing… the beer selection. Or lack thereof. The only craft beer is a 16 mile golden ale, and I hope to not offend anyone, but that is the expensive craft beer for those who like cheap beer. I would love to see a good IPA at least at hand, Dogfish has a great selection, Heavy Seas and Troegs are all local but world class beers. I hope this is considered as I am certain I am not the only one who feels this way. Please make a really, really good restaurant great!

Many times I travel long distances just to try something new and fun when I don’t have plans. Tonight was one of those nights! So I decided to take a 35 min drive to this restaurant. The place was in town, but not a busy one, so you felt like you were still away from everything. We started off with the fried calamari which was absolutely amazing. No dipping sauce in little white cups like everyone else. This restaurant separates themselves from the norm and gives you a butter something awesome sauce. Next came my veal dinner which I have to say was completely worth the money. Fresh ingredients, fresh asparagus, fresh potatoes… it doesn’t get much better. The wait staff was nice and pleasant, and made my first trip there great. So if you’re looking for a quiet time with your friends or loved one, I would recommend giving Two Trees a shot. You may be pleasantly surprised.

This was such a pleasant surprise! I was worried that I should be leaving a bread crumb trail as your friends were driving here from Dover, but it was well worth the trip. Great menu with daily specials that are wonderfully and creatively prepared. And Molly our server was a delight. And the desserts are to die for and inexpensive. Go for it by all means.

Great little place with a wonderful atmosphere. Nothing mind blowing, but everything was done very well. I really enjoyed the Ruben and the sesame tuna. We had the calamari and crab dip as appetizers. Neither were exceptional, but both were good and the calamari was tender. My waiter was also very friendly and attentive.

Welcoming staff and décor is just the start of a surprisingly fine dining experience in little ‘ol Millington. My mom and I went for lunch in November 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the wild mushroom soup, prime rib open-faced sandwich, and pumpkin crisp for dessert. Every course was outstanding. The prime rib was tender and the portion was very generous. I’d never had pumpkin crisp and was excited to try a new, seasonal dessert. I was not disappointed — the crisp is better than any pumpkin pie I’ve ever had! We shared the fried oysters, which were served with a light horseradish sauce. The soup was hearty and fresh. Lunches and starters are reasonably priced(a cup of soup is $ 5); dinner entrees can be pricey. The two of us shared the oyster appetizer and we each got soup, an entrée, and a dessert. The total, with tip, was $ 72. Two Tree will be reserved for special occasions in my book, but it’s well worth the price. Everything about this place is delightful. I’ll definitely go back!

This restaurant is just awesome! Wine is always well recommended and lovely pairings. The food is wonderful and consistent. And you definitely have to save room for the made from scratch desserts. Make the drive– you won’t regret it!!!

Dined on 12÷1÷12 Sheri and I were traveling on Maryland’s Eastern Shore exploring a couple wineries for my Birthday and it was getting late and needed to eat. We were directed here by Don(owner /wine maker) of Tilmon’s Winery. Kudos Don… great suggestion!!! Next we arrived for dinner on a Saturday night without reservations in December when locals are busy having their office Christmas dinners. Kudos to the owner of Two Trees for making room for us. I saw that they had a wild mushroom soup, and I just had to try that. So I ordered the Mushroom & Truffle soup with a brie crustini… OMG that was so delish!!! My wife kept stealing my soup. My only complaint was that there was only a single tiny crustini(half-dollar sized) when there should have been two. As my main course I ordered the Shrimp n Grits(Cajun Style) w/andouille sausage and tasso. OMG talk about yummy, there were 7 or 8 prawn sized shrimp, with a ton of spicey andouille sausage(see pictures). This dish was killer(Sorry Guy… I had to steal you line), I didn’t leave a single drop. Sheri had the Harvest salad with a jumbo jumbo lump crab cake that had almost no filler in it. She loved it as well. For desert I had the Lemon Chess Pie, talk about pucker power, MMmm Good(Lemon Tree take notes!!!). Sheri had bread pudding with homemade ice-cream. Now while this restaurant is out in the country on a simple corner in a town where if you blink 3 times you will miss it, the food is worthy of fine dining in the better districts of Baltimore. Two Trees is worth the trip to the Eastern Shore of Maryland!!!

Talk about a unique place! Two Trees is one of those restaurants cooking eastern shore ingredients(ie: crab cakes, flounder, oysters, etc), but with a style the newer chefs are adopting today. Bold flavors, seasonings, and fresh ingredients. I live on the Gulf Coast of FL today, but grew up in this area. It was a pleasant visit back home. There were 6 adults and 3 children in our party, and we couldn’t have asked for better. Our appetizers of fried oysters, Seared Ahi, and Crab Dip were all awesome. Probably the best crab dip I’ve ever had. The stuffed flounder was delicious, another in our party had the pork shank and loved it. Our waitress was very attentive, something I cringe when I’m with a party the size that automatically gets gratuity. But she did her job well. Two Tree would have hit 5 stars, but the crab cake was a disappointment. Not sure what happened here, but it was flat, no taste, and cooked improperly. And this is an area you MUST get crab cakes right! Other than that… awesome meal!
