This location has its uses and minuses. I would say the minuses come from the lack of quality customer friendly staff. The food is rarely labeled and can tend to go empty for a significant period of time. The food taste is great and the right temperature. Decent location.

Whenever I go to eat, I always take notes in my mind on how my overall experience was. When I go to rate a restaurant, I rate it on everything and anything. I will start this review not, though I may not be a wordsmith I’m going to give my full opinion on this place. Seating. We were seated almost without hesitation, and we sat where our favorite waitress serves us. She is both a waitress and a friend. I always get a seat where she waits tables at. Expenses. This place is cheap. You can pay like $ 12 or $ 15 and get all you can eat. The best buffet, topping Grand Pacific Buffet. Service. As I mentioned before, a friendly waitress, polite, and quick at getting refills and taking away plates that crowd the tables. She will get you whatever you need to have a great dining experience. She is great at her job. Food. How can I start. So many delicious meals, crafted to perfection. There are few times in life where almost everything in a buffet is great tasting. In fact, the only things I did not like we’re the broccoli(of course, I’m still young) and the cornbread. Now I’ll get to desert. I had the strawberry shortcake. It was fantastic. All in all, I would consider this an amazing place. Five Stars.

Used to eat here all the time growing up. Went in for the first time in years for a huge shock. The place needs to be remodeled. It’s like a flash back from the 80’s. Food quality was poor. There was absolutely nothing on the buffet that really got my attention. I won’t be going back. Waitresses were really nice though.

This is the 2nd time that I have ever eaten at a Ryan’s before. My family and I dined here over Thanksgiving weekend(Saturday 29th) because her grandmother turned 94 years old and the party included about 40 people, this was perfect for the party and best of all it required no cleanup. The young lady at the hostess stand was very friendly and professional. Due to our party being a surprised birthday, the place was packed and I went around to hurry and setup our birthday decorations ahead and afterwards left to get my wallet and come back to pay(being honest), and the hostess got the manager so I could receive a discount as I was a part of the party. The manager promptly came to the front and took care of that, no questions and was friendly. Now as I often mention in my reviews, always look at the bathrooms before eating at any restaurant. This can be hard to do at a buffet, as you pay before you have access to them. Call it OCD, but when you work at the health department in public health, you’ll know why. The bathrooms here need serious remodeling, however they did have paper towels and soap. To be completely honest, this entire Ryan’s should be remodeled, though I understand times are still tough, especially near Memphis, however this place is owned by the private company Ovation Brands, Inc., which own 324 restaurants and for that reason this place should be in much better condition. I understand this location is in a old building, but regardless, it should be much cleaner. [ Service ] The hostess, manager, grill cook, guy who brings food to buffet and the rest of the staff here are excellent. I must say, as someone who has worked in the industry before, I was impressed. While going back and forth to the buffet I was always greeted and acknowledged. Again, extremely professional. [ Food ] Let’s just say this is nothing like the buffets at the Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace or The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. Pleasantly surprised, the steak the grill cook grilled medium turned out well and had good flavour, however the vegetables(green beans/broccoli/carrots/baked potato) were way over cooked and salad greens were roughly 20−30% wilted. The chicken soap was extremely salty, so I only ate the noodles and chicken, although the rotisserie chicken that one of the guys had just brought out was good. Overall, for the price of the food, one cannot really beat the price in this area. They do offer military discounts, which is a major plus(I believe the sign said on Wednesdays, call to confirm). The best part of this location is definitely the service, which is the major reason why I give this place 3 stars. Good service can be a rare commodity these days. [Review #224]

Terrible Had not been here for awhile. Quality has declined. Steam table did not keep foods warm. Buffet table not maintained, food items out. Gravy had flour lump, watery. Don’t let the pics posted fool you, not even close.

First time here for lunch. Buffet items include fried and baked chicken, meat loaf, pizza, pasta, beans, Mac n cheese, corn bread, salad bar, soup, fruit, and desert. Not great food but covers the basics. Our server was quick to bring drinks and they never emptied, she also kept an overly sharp eye to remove dirty plates. I can say that the place needs a good scrub. Plates are banged up and the silver wear could be cleaned better, and the décor is out dated. At $ 7 per person for the buffet it’s not a bad deal. 3 stars is very… very generous.

This place is good for when you’re really hungry and are tired of going to fast food restaurants. You may get good service from the server or you might just be wondering do they care about your experience! Also I wish they had more to choose from in their food. seems the salad bar takes up the whole place.
