really nice pizza, thin crispy crust, I will return regularly, since I’m nearby. wasn’t impressed with a meatball sub, probably an off day. I’ll have to try sketties and lasagna. salad was fresh every time and reasonably prepared. The place itself is nice enough, cozy and it’s clean.

I really don’t know if they are good or not. In fairness I am giving 4 stars only because I wanted to give feedback and a caution to others to make sure you have cash when you go here. I stopped to get a beer and relax after a bike ride. After my beer was opened I tried to pay with my debit card. I had no cash with me. I generally only use my debit card. This establishment should consider accepting credit cards. They did allow me to leave without paying. I told them will mail a check. They pointed to a sign threat states they only accept cash or check. I do hear the food is good and will try them again.

we had a fairly good meal at this place. the staff was friendly and polite and the place was clean. the prices were fair. no credit cards accepted so make sure you bring cash. no slices at dinner time, only whole pies. eggplant parm was OK but not great. Caesar salad w/grilled chicken was okay as well.

This is a review for the older waitress with a feather headdress & the attitude. You were rude to me & my students. We were out of towners looking for food before a hike. You were the lady with the stank face complaining that we were using twenties in a cash only establishment. Maybe you were having an off day. Maybe not. Be it to say I will not be returning. The star is for the food that didn’t totally suck.

Man, the memories I have from this place. From childhood trips for pizza after going to the movies in Millerton, to the occasional times I’d stop in here with co-workers when I had my first«big kid» job down the street from here in 2003, Taro’s has always held a special little place in my heart, definitely invoking a little bit of nostalgia. While in town with the beau a few days before Christmas, Irving was packed, and Oakhurst Diner was closed. Needing just a quick bite, we found ourselves at Taro’s. I forgot how great it was, not to mention affordable. I remember their pizzas being great; while we didn’t have any, I did mentally drool over our neighbors thin-crusted and decadent-looking pies. We opted for some hot sandwiches; he had the veal parmesan 6 inch grinder, and I went for the 6 inch Balboa: thin-sliced roast beef and melted Swiss cheese on a toasted garlic bread roll. Both were fantastic, and the flavors of my sandwich in particular melted nicely. I kind of wish most all sandwiches came on toasted garlic bread!(Well, perhaps save for PB& J. Haaa.) Each sandwich, with either fries or chips, was $ 6.95, providing us with a satisfying and filling lunch that didn’t eat away at our wallets. It’s been years since I’ve had the pizza, so perhaps I’ll have to stop in again on a future trip to visit my parents, but I can certainly vouch for their awesome sandwiches! We both left more than pleased, indeed.

Always tasty. Good service. This is a casual Italian restaurant(or upscale pizzeria) that caters to locals and families traveling up and down Route 22. We stop on our way home from the Berkshires a few times a year. I’ve had everything from their pizzas to veal dishes, and have always been satisfied. Prices are very reasonable.

I’ve only had pizza and salads here, but it’s always been excellent. When, I think New York pizza, it’s hard not to think of this place. Staff is great as well.

A delicious meal with awesome personal service! Matt & Joe(brothers) provided the perfect combination of great food with fun service. They even created a pizza with 3 different complicated toppings & put them on 8 slices perfectly! As a New Yorker, their pizza and service was top-notch!

This is the best slice you will grab in Millerton. No question. New york style, and the ingredients always taste fresh.

this place was excellent. the service was very accommodating and friendly. we ordered a medium sized carmelized onions and sausage — paul’s favorite, fettucine alfredo for the kids and a vodka penne for myself. you got the choice of soup or salad with your meal and my son chose the buffalo chicken soup. dawg! that was so good. it was like a dip! very spicy. the pizza was awesome too. i loved the smell of the crust. i would definitely come back.

Although this place is billed as a pizzeria we have never gotten beyond the specials posted on their giant white board on the wall. Every entrée my wife and I have tried has been wonderful and their soups are exceptional as well. Judging from the pizza’s we see served at the tables as well as the volume of «to go» pies we see leaving the place I suspect that they are equally as good as their very varied meals. We may actually never know as the specials continue to call to us from the board!

Good pizza. Had a bad first impression but that’s changed over the past year.

Taros. The only gripe I really have. No Slices after 4pm. Not a huge deal considering the entrées do them justice. Great staff and food is pretty consistent.

Used to frequent this place quite a bit when I lived in Salisbury, CT. What is not to like about this place? Pretty much anything on the menu is fab. The service is great too. One of my preferred dishes was the portobella and roasted red pepper salad in a basalmic reduction. NOTE: They don’t take credit cards… not sure why, but they don’t.

This is a family pizza joint for the locals. The pizza is not as good as you find in NYC but it is probably the best there is within a 50 mile radius. The rest of the menu is fine and it’s all very inexpensive. The waitstaff is outstanding.

Really good pizza that’s as good as you find in NYC. Broad menu choices and beer selection make this a standout. Waitstaff is excellent. They are attentive, friendly and efficient. make this a winner in my book. Kid friendly and outdoor patio. This is a great place to stop before or after a bike ride on the Harlem Valley Rail Trail; when visiting the Millerton/Sharon CT area; or just on the way. It is worth a stop for lunch or dinner
