This is a decent little bar attached to a liquor store close to the Glen Burnie/Millersville line. I actually really like it! It’s small, sure, but to me that’s part of the pros to it. It’s relatively close to home, so if I want a few drinks with friends without all the bells and whistles of arranging transportation and an expensive Über or taxi fare, Northway is perfect. Most of the customers know each other, so it’s a very personable environment. I also feel safe there, there are no serial creepers or generally unsavory folks wandering around. The owner is an extremely friendly and good guy, and the whole family-run aspect of the place is just great. Drinks are priced well, almost always somewhere to plant myself and it’s not loud to a point where I can’t hear the person I’m with from across the table. I’m glad I have this place so close by.

Terrible customer service. This happened Saturday November 29th around 2am. We called the store to ask about the hours to see how late they were open. Granted it was pretty late however most liquor stores in our area stay open pretty late, sometimes till 3 or 4am. The conversation went like this: Us: hi, how late are ya’ll open till? Man: what? Us: how late are you open till? Man:(angrily) well you’re sh*t outta luck! It’s 2 o’clock in the morning! You’re not getting anything from us! We promptly hung up after that but the man who answered was also slurring his words and seemed drunk, but we can’t say for sure. I don’t know about you but getting screamed at for asking about the hours tells me that I never want to shop there. Keep in mind they did answer and if they had just closed they could have just said so.

Overpriced, smaller liquor store. You’ll get some deals occasionally($ 19.99 Svedka right now, for example), but overall it’s mid-range prices. The sales associates I don’t think they’ve ever asked if I’ve needed help nor have they said much while ringing up my selections. But it’s close to my house. Wish we had a bigger, better liquor store around but it’ll do. It’ll do. For a trip where you’ll be buying a lot, I’d definitely go elsewhere to spend your money.

Northway isn’t the cheapest but I love the service here. It’s your typical liquor store.

When I need to stock up on alcohol for a weekend with my in-laws, I come here to buy Yuengling and any bargain 1.5 L red wines. I also have purchased champagne on occasion. There is a supermarket in the adjacent shopping center, but this is a better, centralized place for my needs. Flash Gordon is in and out in five minutes. If you need to purchase in bulk, you can go into the back and self serve as many cases as you wish. I am afraid to go into the bar. IFHTP3+

I can’t believe I’ve missed the fact that they sell Smithwick’s here. That’s a guaranteed star. Now, I’ve been in here quite a few times to say the least and I’ve never seen any six packs of this magical, delicious liquid in their coolers. However, this time was different! Add another liquor store to my short list of places I will frequent from now on. On the other occasions that I’ve been here, I wasn’t too impressed. It seems like a standard store with the standard assortment of liquors, wine and beer. The service is OK… nothing to write home about. They do have a bar attached to the side of the store, but I have never been in there so I can’t comment on that. Their prices are decent. They don’t seem to have any real«steals» so if you’re in the area and in need of a quick liquor stop, don’t hesitate to purchase from here!
