Almost all pizza joints in Lancaster County taste the same with their cardboard crusts.
I haven’t been to House Of Pie in 20 years since my college days.
Feeling nostalgic while driving thru the area we stopped for a pizza.
The restaurant is set up odd, very loud, counter service only and condiment shakers are forbidden to be taken to table… which is just weird. I assume theft is a problem in this college town.
My husband ordered an Italian sub which the bread came out toasted and there was barely anything on it. His Lager was flat as well.
But the pizza was surprisingly good and would definitely bring me back again.

Gross, i got a pizza with mushrooms and it didnt taste like mushrooms were fresh but possibly out of a can, and wasnt even cooked into the pizza, i went here once poor college student meal, i know better now.

Average to mediocre. The Sugar Bowl, not half a mile away is much better. Witness to that is the crowd at the Sugar Bowl during lunch and an empty or mostly empty HOP. The food is, well, tedious. Just really average ingredients prepared with no real concern. It’s just slapped together and then they call out a number. I don’t hold a place like this to real restaurant standards but when other similar places clearly outshine them, as they do, well, you get two stars and frankly, they probably only deserve one. Avoid this joint.

The food is «OK». I agree with other reviews that Nino’s and Two Cousins have better pie. They do have a good meatball sub.
The street around House of Pie is dirty and littered with cups, paper plates and bags from Two Cousins. My wife picks up litter when she is walking the dogs and the owner called the police and wanted my wife arrested because she threw some of this litter (all House of Pizza stuff) into his dumpster. No, he didn’t throw the trash on the street, but c’mon a handful of trash??? The community pool and University have no problem with the trash she picks up and puts in their receptacles. Take this for what it is and decide if you want to reward someone who does this.

The House of Pizza in Lancaster city has pizza that actually tastes decent. Not a fan of the pie here, but the cheesesteaks are pretty good. Tons of better options for pizza in Millersville…
The only good thing about Hopi is that it’s in a great location for drunk party goers.
At least it’s been remodeled over the summer and it looks a lot better inside.

Food quality is not so good. Order at counter and wait for the order.
Caters to the college crowd.
I bought a Corona Beer there that were very old and very skunky.
Parking lot is very small and difficult to navigate.
I won’t hurry back.
